omolola100: My mother advice me never to look for a rich man who is well do whenever i'm set to get married. she said i should marry a man that we will both start our life from the foundation, according to my mum, she said it is better to suffer with man to acquire wealth, than to go for a ready made soup.
Looking at the way things are going now, do you think a woman will now stoop so low and marry a poor man that is trying to make ends meet? Although, money is not love, but why would a parent wish her daughter to marry a poor man, i am begining to see my mum as a bad mother who does'nt wish me well. Is it advisable i follow my mothers advice? I should stay in SURULERE instead of OLORUNSOGO. Don't you think she's intellectually lazy to understand her mother's statement. Someone that's not making any money or has contributed anything tangible to a project dares call another man "poor"? It's so sad that people like her think it's just like a snap of a finger to get married to a rich man. I just pity some girls sha, their empty brain won't absorb anything tangible making them useless even in that rich man's house instead of contributing tangibly there. |

Amotolongbo: If you are already high, you don’t need a man then.
If the men have this mentality of yours, they won’t marry ladies lower than their status.
Your mother made the right statement but you didn’t get the message. She said don’t marry a rich man, she didn’t say marry a poor man. You have run foul of false dilemma, making just only an option to counter your mum’s advice ie any man not rich is poor.
There are men with no material now cos they are currently investing their mental resources to create wealth in the future. Men with potentials, these are kinda men your mum is telling you to marry. Adding your potential value to compliment this kind of resourceful men to create wealth will earn you a maximum eternal matrimonial respect Don't you think she's intellectually lazy to understand her mother's statement. |

Politics › Re: APC Inherited Insurgency From A Clueless PDP Government by nini007(m): 10:06am On Jun 02, 2021 |

The All Progressives Congress (APC) wishes to remind Nigerians that the seeds of the insecurity which the APC administration is containing was sown by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) administration when it handled the Boko Haram insurgency in an inept and incompetent manner.
This is response to the false claims by the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, who lied that the Federal Government has lost control of the security situation.
The remarks by the Rivers state governor, whose party members call a dictator, flies against the continuous efforts of our security forces who are toiling day and night and successfully rolled back the Boko Haram insurgency it inherited to a small part on the shores of Lake Chad.
Nigerians can recall that the insurgents once attacked places of worship, markets and gathering of citizens in many states of the Federation before the APC administation led by President Muhammadu Buhari galvanised and equipped the armed forces to degrade their capacity to strike all over the country.
It is ironic that the dictator at the Rivers State government house has forgotten so soon that kidnapping for ransom, like the Boko Haram insurgency, did not start under this administration, but every effort is being made to stop it along with its twin evil of banditry. The APC administration has consistently worked for the best interest of Nigeria and will not be distracted by the antics of the PDP designed to mislead Nigerians into assuming that the PDP they rejected in free and fair elections in 2015 and 2019 is worthy of their trust.
A leopard cannot change its spots. The PDP is clearly in disarray. It was a failure in governance and a shocking failure as an opposition party. Nigerians cannot risk the country's future in the hands of the same political party that brought the rot the APC administration is clearing.
SIGNED: *Sen. John James Akpanudoedehe, Ph.D* National Secretary Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) All Progressives Congress (APC) June 2, 2021 That you qualified for PHD should be questioned. You no get sense at all.... Still blaming PDP for your misfortune after 6 years is a real disaster on its own, no wonder why Nigeria keep going backwards everyday. Ijust hope Nigerians will learn! |

Some of us wanted to become a doctor, nurse, pharmacist, radiologist, surgeon, engineer, banker, economist, agriculturist, politician, pilot, journalist, athlete, pastor, fashion designer, educationist, scientist, a soldier, navy, airforce, e.t.c.
As for me my childhood dream career was to become a PILOT but today am an ECONOMIST.

TV/Movies › Re: Mortal Kombat 2021: What's Your Review? by nini007(m): 2:12pm On May 13, 2021 |
Incognito403: Today, I finally got to watch the much anticipated Mortal Kombat 2021 movie. Here's what I think about this movie.
Firstly, I wonder why there has been no frontpage thread about this movie. I mean, this movie is one of the biggest things this year (at least for Mortal Kombat fans).
Now to my review. lo
1. I've watched the trailer many times on YouTube but it didn't really impress me. But that still didn't stop me from thinking about this movie.
2. I've watched the two previous movies that were done on Mortal Kombat. I didn't enjoy the first movie but then mortal Kombat, to me, is like pizza (or sex); even when it's bad it's still good. But the second movie (mortal Kombat annihilation) was a lot better in my opinion.
3. Before watching this 2021 mortal Kombat movie, I'd read reviews online and I was surprised to see poor reviews. Many people said the movie wasn't made for everyone, instead it was directed at fans of the MK video game.
4. Personally, I enjoyed the movie. And the part I loved most is the plot twist when Cole was fighting Sub-Zero. It was superb. Then there's Kung Lao's fatality. Liu's dragon. Kano and Sonya's feud was featured. Most importantly was how well the directors used Sub-Zero. He was in top form throughout the movie. Among many others.
5. I do feel the directors deliberately featured big names to appease the MK fans. For example, Goro wasn't necessary.
6. I also feel the directors tried to cramp too many features of the video game into the movie. Many went well but some didn't fit. For example, Reiko didn't do anything significant in the movie.
In summary. I enjoyed the movie and believe every MK fan will. As for non MK fans, you might be disappointed.

They just wrap you with mat and throw you into a pit,
Then they forget about you, they don't take flowers to grave, or cry at grave side.
Once you are dead it is final, you will become dust, all the praises from family members you cannot hear it.
Let us stop this deception of posthumous nonsense. There are no spirit or demon, they are works of human imagination like father Christmas.

Career › Re: My Hot Tempered Colleague by nini007(m): 9:03pm On Mar 03, 2021 |
maikbanj: Good evening fam. I just want to drop this here even though I feel it's not the right thread. I like the romance forum.
I have a colleague at the office and she lives not too far from me. I have a good relationship with her husband as he's a Yoruba man. It happens she's still a learner and isn't too good driving. Although, she tries and I kinda supervise her but she never listens. She just wants to do her own thing. I end up driving almost every time
On our way back from work today she drove and she wanted to branch at a market to purchase some groceries so she was looking for where to park her car. I showed her a place and she said no that the place was too deep. But cars were parked there. I left her alone and she parked close to a bus stop. When she left,I was just in the car pressing my phone and Task force came and impounded the car. I tried pleading but to no avail. They asked if I was the owner of the car and I said no that it's for a colleague and she was going to be with us soon. The plea fell on deaf ears and they drove me and the car to the police station close by.
I tried calling my dad to know if he knew anyone there as he usually have lil connect but he said no. So I tried going back to where we parked so I could tell her what happend and where the car was. Fortunately, before I got to the gate of the station she was walking like a soldier angry saying why did I let them carry the car and all. And I told her how I pleaded and how they wanted to lessen the tire if I didn't give them the key. Still she was furious and was talking plenty things that got me annoyed that if it was my car would I have allowed them carry it that wasn't I a man to handle them.
The people said for violating I was going to pay 120k. And I just didn't know what to say. So I was like let's call Baba(her husband ), just to know if he had a connect. And she flared up saying what kinda talk was that and all like I was her baby or something. She said things that got me angry and I told her it's indeed not her fault and I kept quiet.
In the end I did some transfers and she gave some amount too.
I have made my decision not to drive her again because I was really hurt with the kind of things she said. And when we were heading home I called her attention to it gently. Yet she was saying why would I have allowed them carry the car that if it was my car nko. And lots of things.
I don't want to ruin the relationship I have with her husband
Please I need to be advised because I have crossed my mind not to drive nor go with her anymore Idiot |
