I agree it's igbo inheritance culture but it is also within our culture for a father, still alive, to give any of his properties to any of his children. Culture or no culture, any father should share his properties as he deemed fit if he is still alive, taking into account the nature of his relationship with the children. Some Children have behaved very awfully towards their dad, some even killed their dad. What is the purpose of wills. We have to adhere to our culture but if a man is still alive, he should be allowed to bequeath his properties to his children as his heart desires. And very importantly, people should start fighting to provide for themselves, not to depend on their father's properties.

My point is about leadership, development and the state of the nation called Nigeria, not about money making. Nigerian youths are busy making noise about APC, PDP, Jonathan, Buhari, etc, while the politicians are busy with what they've been doing since independence: looting the wealth of the nation. Nigeria is in tatters, nothing works. Succcessive regimes have turned that country into a toddler at 54, yet some people, particularly the youths are wasting their time trading insults due to their support for politicians and majority of these youths are jobless.

From your comments, it's obvious you've been holed up somewhere in Nigeria all year life. If you step outside the shores of 9ja and into South Africa, you'll be ashamed of yourself. Everything works well in SA compared to what is obtainable in 9ja. If someone who have been around the globe and seen "good economy" asserts that he's ashamed of Nigeria, u guys will tear the person apart. But it simply means that the situation in Nigeria compared to other places he visited or lived in is a shit hole where nothing works. Everything works on SA. When I visited that country, I was overawed with the level of development, I couldn't believe this is in Africa. Economic ratings or no ratings, SA is far more developed than Nigeria in virtually all spheres of life. I do understand your situation, I was once like u, totally beclouded by patriotic sentiments until seeing other parts of the world opened my eyes.
