Exactly, all that's needed is a president that will positively transform Nigeria, literate or illiterate. |

Flets: By 2015, it will be 42 years Buhari started active service and never found it important to get a formal education yet he wants to rule a progessively educated Nigeria. The reason is simple......Boko is haram (Education is forbidden). For anybody still in doubt if Buhari has ties with Bokoharam. There lies your answer.... their policies are totally aligned. Being educated does not necessarily translate into being a good manager/leader. Warren Buffett was a school drop out yet a better manager than most PHD holders. |

After pleas even from their Bishop, he refused him burial site in his Compound. Grab Saturday Sun of 6/12/1s. No one's talking about Property here yet The bottom line is property, who ultimately inherits the main family compound, b/w current wife/kids vs ex wife/kids. |

Disown them? No, it's a matter of time. I agree it's igbo inheritance culture but it is also within our culture for a father, still alive, to give any of his properties to any of his children. Culture or no culture, any father should share his properties as he deemed fit if he is still alive, taking into account the nature of his relationship with the children. Some Children have behaved very awfully towards their dad, some even killed their dad. What is the purpose of wills. We have to adhere to our culture but if a man is still alive, he should be allowed to bequeath his properties to his children as his heart desires. And very importantly, people should start fighting to provide for themselves, not to depend on their father's properties. |

princefunmi: Good that your eyes are open.
But don't you think you would do a lot better by bringing those opened eyes back to Nigeria and implement some changes in an area that you have seen in Diaspora?
That way, Nigeria will become as "developed" as those other places. And by the way, is it possible to make as much money as you would in Nigeria in those places you talk about. My point is about leadership, development and the state of the nation called Nigeria, not about money making. Nigerian youths are busy making noise about APC, PDP, Jonathan, Buhari, etc, while the politicians are busy with what they've been doing since independence: looting the wealth of the nation. Nigeria is in tatters, nothing works. Succcessive regimes have turned that country into a toddler at 54, yet some people, particularly the youths are wasting their time trading insults due to their support for politicians and majority of these youths are jobless. |

Questions for you
Why didn't they stop the money when it passed through their CBN. Why is it now the money wants to return back that they stopped it.
Did they contact Abuja for clarification before impounding the money
#InvolveOurHigherInstitutionsInWeaponsDevelopmentAsDICONmassProduce From your comments, it's obvious you've been holed up somewhere in Nigeria all year life. If you step outside the shores of 9ja and into South Africa, you'll be ashamed of yourself. Everything works well in SA compared to what is obtainable in 9ja. If someone who have been around the globe and seen "good economy" asserts that he's ashamed of Nigeria, u guys will tear the person apart. But it simply means that the situation in Nigeria compared to other places he visited or lived in is a shit hole where nothing works. Everything works on SA. When I visited that country, I was overawed with the level of development, I couldn't believe this is in Africa. Economic ratings or no ratings, SA is far more developed than Nigeria in virtually all spheres of life. I do understand your situation, I was once like u, totally beclouded by patriotic sentiments until seeing other parts of the world opened my eyes. |

Kinkybraids: Im having dejavu...i could swear we have had this debate before and you still think its right to hit a woman. You normally make a lot of sense in your post and you are fair but here is where my perception of you changes.
How can one justify hitting and abusing another human being? No matter how 'rachet' a woman is she can never drive you to beat her unless its your nature to abuse women. You control your actions no matter what she does its not about her being proper.
You are the only person i follow on NL because i simply like your thought process but this difference in principle is not sitting well with me. It is justifiable to hit or even kill a woman in self defence, particularly if my life is at stake. Where did you get the mindset that whatever a woman does, no matter the degree of cruelty, that she doesn't deserve to be hit. Some women are extremely destructive and violent. Some men have actually died in the hands of these category of women. |

He is tryin his best to fix all dat 'ur former head of states' neglectd n messed up for decades. You're missing the point dude. The issue here is not who is better b/w former/present thieves (leaders) that have milked and is still milking Nigeria dry. That two Igbo business men in conjunction with their Chinese partner teamed up to assemble trucks in Enugu is not worthy of being included in the list of achievements by a sitting president. If a local government chairman invites a Chinese company to assemble anything, it's not an achievement, that chairman should not be classified as a meticulous planner. I can do it too. Wake up from your slumber, step out of that hole you've been hiding in all your life. Like someone stressed above, shoprite maybe the only shopping mall you've ever stepped into, that's why you think that assembling trucks is a monumental achievement by an incumbent president. |
