Arouser: Naija is looking like a country on the verge of explosion. I been wan come back for Xmas. make i remain with the cold winter! Things are not looking good back home.Things are good back home. I've been home twice this year and I had a good time, inspite of all the brouhaha about insecurity. There's no place like home, bud. |
donphilopus: Is this the Abati of those days??Yes, that's the Abati of those days oo, a prolific writer with the Guardian and a fearless critic of several military regimes. |
Akshow: don't defend the undefendable. Is this right in the house of God. Is this vain brazen display of power christianity? And some silly gullible people are still in this church. Smh4themIt's 100% right for anyone, men of God inclusive, to be security conscious, especially taking into account that churches have been at the receiving end of several attacks. |
JulianBond007: do you expect men as hefty as that as body guards not holding guns? Are you for real or your trying to act dumb? Those guys are armed to the teeth. If you think its a lie,why not take a stroll to the church and attempt going to hug Chris Okotie at the podium and see what happens to you next!what he expects is not the issue, show me the guns in those pictures. |
rioemmanuel: What's dis one sayingIf you do not understand him, move on. Comment on what you understand. |
Dannylux: what exactly is going on here?Barack Obama`s victory speech in Chicago, Jesse Jackson shedding tears of joy . |
Dolly-Parton:CCTV is the number one crime buster in Europe and US today. Over 70% of all busted criminal activities were through CCTV footage. |
Boll2010: she's a thief.........and I'm not touched emotionally by the torture she went through......trim their branches now before they go big like iroko tree and start busting shops at idumota marketsMisplaced anger. whoever steals pepper, a tuber of yam, a loaf of bread, a plate of food deserves pity. Direct your anger to those who crippled Nigeria by stealing the collective wealth of the people. It's their stealing that brought about a situation whereby some Nigerians now steal pepper, bread, yam, etc. |
Sard: Rubbish. You should take a look at d poo you wrote again. That's practically & technically impossible.Nothing is impossible in this round leather game called football. |
chrissy3: so honouring mary means you have to go against God's command not to make image of anything in heaven, earth and beneath the sea,you must not bow? Now mary is now 'the way the truth and the life,no one comes to the father except through her? Funny I thought that was suppose to be jesus? Listen jesus christ had to be born as human so he must be born by a human and mary was picked for reasons know to God but the name mary can easily be Martha if someone else was picked .if I ask you catholics why mary was picked you can't say and your saying honouring mary.yes you would give her respect but she has no teaching of the bible and was a vessel for the birth of christ, she is just human nothing more.Who said humans should not be honoured?. |
Jenams: Rubbish! Its high time he took those mad man symbol off his head. ![]() |
weazley: childish stuff,None of your business. |
JECBOSS: Nice gesture from the Responsible, Visionary and Prudent Governor!I wonder what politics and APC have to do with this. |
sapientia1: you're a student of FUT0? check what you wrote againHe`s an unripe apple plucked from one of ASUU's apple trees. |
1025: are u a comedian? even under the military, this can't work. So if the government signed an agreement and could not honour it, the country should grind to a halt?. For over 4 months, our youths have been grounded. Just like doctors cannot embark on indefinite strike if they do not have their way because of the sensitive nature of their profession, those university lecturers should not punish our youths, because they did not get what they want from the government. The youths are the future of the country. In any negotiation, no individual or organization gets everything they wanted. If you want a pay raise where you work or improved working condition, will you stay away from work indefinitely due to the fact that you did not realize that and still be employed?. |
ogugua88: It's hard finding a Nigerian woman abroad. There are millions of Nigerian girls, but seldom can you find a woman. Language? They can't speak. Food? They can't cook. Basic Nigerian values? They don't have. I'm not generalizing. As a woman, I am telling you that there are some Nigerian "women" who embarrass the hell out of me.The first part of your post, coming from a young pretty Nigerian girl like you means that the situation is not completely hopeless. |
airmark: What privacy? If he wanted privacy, why did nt he stay at home . I remember when Okocha did such in Paris, he was fined. If you dont want to feel the heat dont stay in the kitchen. Is Tee billz a president or Governor?CHRIS BROWN WAS CONVICTED RECENTLY FOR DOING EXACTLY THE SAME THING. |
kingbang: Glad to know that you have accepted your folly! Next time leave the word 'fact' out of your idiocy because you obviously know next to nothing about it. Now coming to a credible candidate, i accept that Obiano is not the brightest soul out of Anambra but he is the best out of the clowns that contested that election. Ask your Ngige what he achieved as Anambra Governor in 3 years and also his achievements as a senator for 3 years. Ngige is mediocrity personified and we shall reject him agaon come 2015.I can see you are obssessed with Ngige, you even refered to him as my Ngige . I`m not a supporter of any of the candidates or parties, i am not even a registered voter, i have never voted in any election conducted in Nigeria. In my own view, there ain`t much difference between the leading candidates, the situation in Anambra state will be about the same at the end of the tenure of whoever emerges winner. Believe me, if any of them becomes governor 2morrow, i neither lost nor won. My only interest is that the electoral process should be transparently credible, free and fair. I`m from Nise so you cannot claim to love Anambra state more than i do. From your mindset, if your APGA selects a goat as their candidate, you will cast your vote for the goat. |
kingbang: FACTS? You call these idiocy you posted above there facts?Do you have to insult others to air your views. I wonder who you `re refering to as son. If you believe that someone pays me to express my opinion, maybe you are categorizing me with yourself, since you sold your soul for 10,000 naira, that i`m in the same boat with you. Continue wallowing in pettiness, talking about parties and tribes in this day and age that attention should be focused on credibility of candidates and what they have to offer Anambra State. |
frankyychiji: If Ngige was not a foolish politician, he wd ve known better than join a party that won't be acceptable by his peo. Is Apc d only political party in nigeria? Nobody is asking him to go back to PDP cos d Ubas are still there to punish him again but there are so many Other parties. Ngige is even more than foolish!!!!!! Having said that, it will be easier for a camel to pass tru d eye Of a needle than for Ngige to b governor again in anambra. Don't ask me why.Credibility of candidates should be our focal point, not party affiliation. If you think that someone is very foolish just because he joined a political party you did not approve of, then there`s no need exchanging words with you, i have out grown your level of thinking. |
na_so: 50%? so tell me this 50% that could not vote are APC and PDP supporters only?My friend, will you stop talking about parties and candidates for a while, let`s talk about facts : 1. INEC boss personally admitted irregularities. 2. A registered voter,Tony Nwoye, and one of the leading candidates, could not vote because his name disappeared from the voters register. 3. APGA candidate, Willy Obiano, indulged in multiple registration and had three voters cards. 4. Registered voters = over 700,000, total votes cast = over 400,000, disenfranchising about 1.2 million voters, over 50%. 5. Alleged swapping of result sheets with an already made up sheet. Are you defending all these electoral abnormalities because of your support for a particular political party or candidate?. |
Kingsley1000: Never in the history of Nigeria have an election like the fraud on November 16th 2013 in Anambra been witnessed. This is Nigeria's most shameful election and INEC's most disgraceful 'election' ever.Valid points. I'm from Anambra state and I do not support any of the candidates. To me, there's no difference between the three leading candidates ideologically or otherwise. Most commentators on this forum were expressing there support for the parties of their choice, particular APGA supporters, regardless of available facts. How can an election in which a leading candidate, Tony Nwoye, could not cast his vote still be allowed to stand. How come about 50% of the registered voters could not vote b/c their name have disappeared from the voters register, thereby resulting in just about 400,000 total casted votes out of over 700,000 registered voters. These are gross irregularities that needs to be address not just expressing support for political parties. |
Danhumprey: Okay,if as they claim that Supplementary election is illegal and not part of the Electoral Act,why and how then did INEC went ahead to conduct a supplementary election that they're now terming it 'illegal'? Why didn't they went to court after the November 16th cancelled election? Rather, they chose to wait to participate in a supplementary election that they are now terming it 'illegal'.They did not partake in the supp election. |
idumuose: Chris olaniyi Ngige\ You guys just kept talking about tribes and parties. I prefer people talking about candidates, their credibility and how Ndi Anambra will benefit. |
phapi: Ngige will knw a bird in hand worth much more than 100 in the bush,if birds can fly so high to perch on tree tops and several catapults can't get dem Y on earth will an experienced political mgaint lyk Ngige believes he can kill 2 birds wif a stone instead of keeping the only one in his handsWhat makes Ngige a foolish man?. Are you implying that joining a party you do not approve of is an act of foolishness?. |
kolawaxxy: mr. Man, what is your problem?A toddler, not a man. |
chaircover: That is a rather unfair statement bro. A woman/man has it within them to be whoever they choose to be regardless of location, it just manifests in different ways. A woman calling cops on her husband in the UK, will not call cops in Naija, but she will sure do something as damming. Is it not Naija that i hear of women smashing windscreens and dropping TV's off the balcony's?Irrespective of foundation and lifestyle, the society we live in greatly influences our behaviour. Women in the west generally, not only 9ja women, are manipulating with impunity the very laws put in place to help protect them from abuses. Couple of years ago, a work colleague of mine, white, was thrown out of his house by his wife. This woman with whom he had a daughter, was unemployed. The man works full time and pays the mortgage alone. He rented a small portacabin close to our place of work and still pays the mortgage. His wife now liveS alone in the house he labours to pay for. Their five years old daughter visits him once a week, on sundays. This scenario left the man a very broken person. He became an emotional wreak. One sunday, when their daughter came for her weekly visits, he strangled her and killed himself. What kind of society will evict a man from the house he bought and mandates that he continues to pay the mortgage while the wife lives there alone. |
picoba:Are you saying that she's wicked?. |
armyofone: Taking CC you cant use in nigeria with you kinda funny to me. Im sure she got little ones and knew oga leaving the card will help them somehow. Men should stop trying to win argument with their women, i mean just give it to her. Something like babes, mind how you spend or dont empty the card and give it to her just for peace sake. No it is my way mentality as usual.Your own solution is to surrender and retreat. You have no idea what men pass through in the name of marriage in the west. It's very difficult for a man to just let his wife dominate always, particularly we Nigerians. Their men are used to that kind of shit. |
coogar: if a husband verbally abuses his wife, is it not marital abuse? is it not verbal abuse, can it not be variated to mean threat to life & what not? you need to go to court & watch how the CPS prove their case. this is the UK....men get screwed all the time. On point. A popular sportsman in the country where i live went clubbing, hooked up with a girl, both got drunk and headed home in the wee hours of the morning. They showered, went to bed and did the obvious. The next day, she claimed they did it against her wish and the guy was arrested, detained and charged. If not that he is very popular, rich, well connected and can afford a very good lawyer, he wouldn`t have emerged from that encounter a free man. As you pointed out, the law is CRIMINALLY tilted in favour of women. A man is almost always wrong. You may even end up in jail for doing it with your own wife so long as she claims she said no and you insisted on doing it. |
Ilekokonit: This Death was Avoidable if the Man had Divorced the Woman the Minute she shows her true colour as a Poison Tongued DemonThey are not dragging power from their husbands, they are really the bosses, they wield enormous power. i personally witnessed a situation where a nigerian wife, in a heated arguement, told her husband: are you talking back on me?, are you talking back on me?, you are leaving this house now. She then left the house and called the police, the police arrived in less than ten minutes and asked the husband to leave the house. The man stayed away from the house for one week. A wife is always right in the western world, the law always back them. |
