Already, Mr. Saraki should hand over fully all affairs of the senate, m not even saying resign, so wen he is found innocent and can resume back....but now, handover and go defend yourself.

Imagine, a man being accused of corruption is busy pointing accusing fingers at another man. He should be busy defending himself. If we follow the yardstick of Saraki's camp that Umar should step down, Saraki should live by example and step down too until cleared of the allegations against him. This scenario is rampant in Nigeria, whenever a public figure is being accused of corruption, instead of defending himself/herself, they will embark on a campaign to scuttle their trial. Even if Umar is corrupt and I believe he is, Saraki should defend himself.

The former Governor of Anambra State,  Mr. Peter Obi has encouraged the wealthy to deploy their wealth in serving God through serving humanity. Obi said this yesterday while presenting a cheque of 1 Million Naira to Progressive Primary School, Awba-Ofemili. 

Obi who said he was moved to visit the school after Rev. Fr. Coleman Onuegbu, who was in charge of the school told him about the condition of the school during the chrisms mass, said that he would continue to  reach out to his friends and institutions, as well as deny himself unnecessary luxuries  to raise/ save money to assist such people in dire need.

Speaking during the visit, the Headmaster of the school, Mr. John Ozuah prayed to God to continue to bless the former Governor for his exemplary leadership yet to be equaled and for his heartedness in continuing  the contribution to the progress of Anambra State even as a private person. 

The  Headmaster who  said that the  3 renovated classrooms in the school were done by Mr. Peter Obi when he was the Governor, thanked him for rehabilitating the 4th and last one even when he was out of office. He equally recalled that the Community Secondary School in the town was completely rehabilitated by Obi when he was the Governor.

Speaking, the Manager of the school, Rev. Fr. Coleman Onuegbu thanked former Governor Obi for always remembering and assisting the poor. The Rev. Fr. who took him to the town's source of drinking water - collection of flood water at the estuarine- appealed to him to rally round his friends and assist the town further

Why not Peter obi donated one million naira, why "donated this"?. And what's the big deal about a million naira donation?.

A lot of Nigerians are oblivious of the systematic marginalization of SE and SS. There is a reason why Onitsha, Calabar, Port Harcourt and Warri ports are not in operation or fully functional as Lagos ports despite SE and SS/energy companies accounting for nearly 70% of all imports. There is a reason why Enugu, Port Harcourt, Calabar, Asaba Airports are not as functional as Lagos, Abuja and Kano despite SE and SS accounting for nearly 75% of all international travels. Something is not right if you have conscience and ability to reason!

Any country's passport can be impounded/withheld/seized while investigating immigration/criminal offences. Davido cannot legally take that kid out of the country without the mother's consent, just as the mum cannot do the same without his consent. Child abduction is a very serious issue in law, particularly in the western world. One can end up in prison for that.

No one deserves to be criminalised for decamping from one party to another and working against the interests of his former party. To the best of my knowledge, that's Amaechi's only crime. They hounded and hounded and hounded him with federal might (patience, Wike, Mbu and Jonathan himself) yet he is still standing. He put his entire political career on the line by supporting APC. If PDP had won the presidency, he would be languishing in prison by now. He is a dogged fighter, one of the few African politicians, in a continent where all politicians play bread and butter politics, only fraternising with the ruling party, who dumped the party in power and worked against their interests and survived. If I were Buhari, I will move mountains to make the director general of my presidential campaign organisation, that triumphed over an incumbent president, a minister. Rivers state senators/people cannot be allowed to determine who serves the generality of Nigerians as a minister. A minister doesn't represent a state, he serves the nation. Sometimes what goes around, comes around. God just want to reverse the roles played this time around by making Amaechi, minister and Wike, River's state governor. Let's watch events unfold and see if Wike will absorb the type of punches that Amaechi absorbed and survived.

I agree, he has not been convicted, and he has basic rights as a citizen. However, his home senators have rights to exerecise their options as senators of the federal republic of Nigeria without being demonized by the APC machinery.
In the USA, a senator can sit on an appointment as long as he or she wants, in Nigeria it's 2 senators.
Amaechi has been very disrespectful to his people for too long, all in the name of fight Ms Jonathan, now he is fighting Gov Wike. If his hands are clean the way he has been saying, what stops him from appearing to the state panel with his own facts and lawyers

If any Nigerian is alleged to have committed a criminal offence, what follows is a court appearance not trial via a panel or the media. I support Amaechi for not appearing in Wike's kangaroo panel whose recommendations are already known even before they commenced seating, taking into account the bad blood existing between both of them.
