In response to Nnamdi Kanu's threat that no body can rearrest him, The Nigerian army has transfered military equipments to southeast. The war machineries includes armored tanks, sophisticated weapons, bombs etc. The transfer was made on Friday, Saturday and sunday respectively.

Not less than 40 Nigerians have been reported dead about 7PM Nigerian time on Monday, September 4, 2017.
According to a facebook user who made this known, the people were returning from the Sallah celebration to resume their Norma lifestyle from Tuesday when the Public holidays is over but met their unfortunate end.

It could be recalled that during this same
salah celebration, a group of young people also did lose their lives along the third mainland bridge in Lagos, Nigeria.

Reacting to these deaths, Nigerians took to their facebook pages to comment and actually prayed that their family members and themselves will not engage in an auto road crash (accident).

Hours after the bomb was tested, international seismic agencies detected a manmade earthquake near the North’s test site and it was 10 times more powerful than the tremor picked up after North Korea's last nuclear test a year ago.

North Korea has continued its show of power, testing and testing more bombs.
On Sunday, it conducted its sixth and most powerful nuclear test, and said it was an advanced hydrogen bomb for a long-range missile.

The development is marking a dramatic escalation of the regime’s stand-off with the United States and its allies.
Reuters reports that the announcement from Pyongyang came a few hours after international seismic agencies detected a manmade earthquake near the North’s test site.
Japanese and South Korean officials said the earthquake was around 10 times more powerful than the tremor picked up after its last nuclear test a year ago.
There was no independent confirmation that the detonation, which drew swift international condemnation, was a hydrogen bomb rather than a less powerful atomic device.

But Japan’s Chief Cabinet Secretary, Yoshihide Suga, said Tokyo could not rule out the possibility that it was a hydrogen bomb.
This test is coming days after North Korea told the United Nations to be ready for more missiles.
The test is a direct challenge to U.S. President Donald Trump, who hours earlier had talked by phone with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe about the “escalating” nuclear crisis in the region.

The National Association of Nigerians Students (NANS) has issued a warning threat to the Federal Government of Nigeria due to the ongoing strike embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union Of Universities.
In a letter duly signed by her President, Comrade Aruna Kadiri of the University Of Benin, the students apex body will embark on a mass action should the Federal Government pay deaf ears to their demands.

The letter reads in full: "For over two weeks now, our Students have been at home for no fault of ours. It is good and gratifying that the Federal Government and ASUU are meeting today to resolve the impasse.
We urge them to find a common ground in the interest of Education.
The Federal Government must do everything possible to get ASUU back to the classrooms since the strike was (as) a result of their inability to honour their negotiated agreement with ASUU".

"Consequently, the NANS under my leadership shall commence a mass action for students to return to their classes on September 5, 2017.

Our leaders in the political and educational sectors are not trying at all.
Though education is for personal development and what the educated person can do to contribute his or her quota to the development of his or her environment, we shouldn't rule out the reward system that once gave Nigerian a name among member committees in the area of educational advancement.

Time was when a first class student was automatically pronounced a master's degree holder even without buying the form for post graduate studies.

This encouraged both the beneficiary and other students who will strive to achieve excellence in their various fields of academic exploits so as to bag a first class which meant a master's degree then.

Other forms of academic rewards was also in place. Communities came together to sponsor a student or few students who performed exceedingly well in one level of educational attainment to a a higher one possibly in a foreign country so that they could come back and liberate them form the suffering which were present then and are still facing us now.
An example of this was the Ibibio Union, the benefactor of the Late Justice Egbert Udo Udoma who became an astute Legal Luminary and the First African Chief Judge of Uganda.

With these and many more that were obtainable many years ago, one would expect that the present crop of leaders who are perceived to be more enlightened than our forefathers would do more towards educational advancement but sadly, the reverse is the case.

How can a student who spent six solid years in the university.
Studied and went extra mile to understand the hard and cumbersome Nigerian method of .....................
