Debt accrued due to player purchase and other things related to a club is being compared to debt put on the club by the owners.

If I talk now, they'll say I started something.
What did the Glazers use the current debt to do? Tell us!

You forgot to add that before glazers united was debtless. The debt you are seeing there is due to the Glazers.
Hmmmm, so the debt was carried forward indefinitely from 2005? Lol. Whatever debt you see today is due to player acquisition and operating costs. Companies pay down debt and borrow everytime.

Look at the two pictures below. Check how the press is using Man Utd to catch cruise because the fans are gullible.

Why include Utd (number 9 on the log) and Barca (number 1) in the headline? Why not Barca and Juventus. An average Utd fan will read the headline and start shouting ‘Glazers have milked Utd’.

Today, man utd is not even one of the clubs with the largest debt. Wait, if we consider clubs that owe indirectly e.g. Chelsea, City even PSG, (debt held at holding company level), Utd owe almost nothing and won’t even feature in this list.

Let me correct some misconceptions about ownership of football clubs.

At £3 or £4 billion level nobody buys with cash, they all pay with bank loans or hybrid (loan and cash)

Unlike what the Man utd owners did by putting the loan directly in books of United, owners of other clubs create holding companies and put the loan there

Football club owners DONT dash clubs money, they either inject money by increasing the capital base or lend the club money

The difference between what the owners of United are doing compared to other clubs is that they are getting what is due to them (dividend) now instead of postponing it till later.

The other club owners will also get what is due to them at a future date or when they decide to sell the club.

It is just different accounting models employed, basically the operations are same. Nobody is dashing thier clubs free money. And yes they where all bought with debt, they just recorded the debts in different accounts.
Finally, someone that gets it. I have done this 1 million times. I even gave them some examples (Chelsea and Arsenal). Chelsea had a holding company that had close to 1 billion in loans owed on behalf of the club. Arsenal also had the same structure at some point. As of today, Chelsea has close to 800m debt because of the takeover by the new consortium.

Every major acquisition can’t be done with cash, it’s usually with debt, and the structure will determine where the debt sits. Also, every owner don’t invest directly, they use future cash flows of the club to borrow. When they borrow, they either put the loan directly in the clubs books or in a holding company. City’s holding company raised 650m debt last year to buy players and sort out some operating expenses, but then man utd fans will come tell you that the owners are giving the club cash.

It’s you and your gullible fellows that are stubborn and blind. You have been shouting ‘Glazers out’ since only God knows when, despite the fact that a lot has happened to the club. It’s absolutely insane. When results are going well, you never praise them, but when we lose consecutive games, your fellows in the UK start organizing protests and stuffs, while you dolts here start disturbing us with your trantums. Who's the gullible one if it's not you worshipping the billionaire owners of the club, deepthro*ting them and telling people the owners have the right to run a football club whichever way they like. Does Manchester United look like an Amala joint to you?

Lots of emotions go into supporting a football club. I know of a YouTuber that going to watch football matches and singing with fans and everything kept him from doing the deed when he was severely depressed. It's only a fool that'll wonder why a real fan of the club would be concerned about the way it's run.

Thinking more than 90% of a fanbase are Gullible. You, in your standalone position, worshipping the Glaziers, are not the Gullible one?
Lol, lots of emotions kor. So because of your emotions, the owners should not do what they think is right? If you don’t like like how they run the club, go support another one, when they leave, you can come back.

I am not worshipping anybody. Have they spent or not? Have they recruited top managers or not? Have they signed good players or not? What else do you want? They should get on the pitch and manage the team every match day? Look beyond what the press and British fans are feeding you. The hate is not justified.

Once again, if you like, go hug a transformer because of how the club was acquired or how it is being run because you are a fan, people will forget that you existed in a jiffy, so I suggest that you stop the shitty stuffs!

Only a fool will tell a fan that how his football club is run is not his business. Whatever it is that makes you find time to defend any post about the Glaziers is your own problem fr. Whatever it is. Whether it's the worship of the very wealthy or the urge to be an antagonist to any generally held opinion. It's your problem.

The good thing is more than 90% of the fanbase is Glaziers out. With time there'll be a change of ownership. You can then worship whichever billionaire takes over. It's not my problem.
Lol, you better don’t kill yourself. A fan is not an owner. Just listen to yourself, because you are a fan, then you should be telling the owners what to do with their business? You are nothing in the scheme of things. Entitled brat!

Let me tell you this, if you like, go burn old Trafford down. The Glazers will sell at the right time and price. You can go kill yourself.

Also, I am not worshiping anyone, I am only trying to make sure you gullible ones understand how things work so you can stfu.

our stocks haven't been doing well in recent years, read it somewhere that if you'd invested £1000 in man utd when we first join the NYSE, it would worth less now, compare to some other clubs in the WhatsApp group, the bottom line is this, they appointed wrong folks and spend money on wild goose chase

they're beyond redemption, they need to leave, the club has prolly existed before the first glazer self
Stock price not moving in years is not a new thing. That’s why dividends must be paid to the shareholders. It’s a good investment for insurance, pension and some mutual funds. They need stocks that are less risky and will provide current income/dividends.

they've spent, but they've not been shrewd with the resources, ask yourself what has our recruitment plans been in d last 10 years? what style of play has the team Implemented after ferge left? it's not all about spending, wetin we dey spend on? look at our youth system, the state of old trafford and a lot of things, bro, them no try at all
Well, the question is, how do you have a recruitment strategy when every manager has got his own style? Also, if they buy for the club (based on a strategy) and not for the manager, you guys will still complain that they are not backing the manager. Finally, the point around having ‘footballing’ people at the top does not make sense. David Gill was an accountant before he joined Utd as a director and then CEO. Also, how many clubs have football people as directors and CEOs.

What’s wrong with our youth system and Old Trafford? As for the latter, maintenance happens annually. So what else? Renovations? yes, it happens once in 3-5 years which is normal. Maintenance and renovation are two different things.

There is no excuse abeg. It’s a narrative that was developed by the British fans and media, and it has become an anthem on every lips because many don’t understand how these things work.

the fans are not hating dem because of the bad patches we're experiencing, we've been hating on dem from the beginning of time, the take over procedure 17 years ago didn't sit well with the fan base, to the extent that some section of the fan base left the team and created another club, they borrowed money to procure the club and put the debt on d club, meaning the glazers have own man utd for 17 years, a dime of their own money has not gone into the club, the club has been self sustained and still paying debt we knew nothing about, even when we were winning trophies, the green and gold scarf has always symbolise the end of dem glazers, as far back as 2007, Beckham once use the scarf

They are parasites, the own d club but the don't invest instead take dividends and still force us to pay debt, we've paid roughly 2.5b yet we still owe 600m,any money u see man u spend bro, ńa man u get ham, dem no give us shishi
If a business is self sustaining by sorting out its operating expenses, capital expenses (re:transfers etc.), and servicing it’s debt on time, why should shareholders put in more money?

Man Utd is a successful enterprise, no need to waste funds, moreso, debt is good for every business as long as it’s at an optimal level.

They are coming for you. I honestly don’t know what else they want from the family. They sign top managers available and back them. I guess fans’ issue is the small money they take out annually. But what’s their business with the 10-20m money they receive annually after they’ve spent over a billion on transfers in a decade?

Although, CR7 is not bothered in as much as the team is winning. I saw the way he jubilated yesterday for the first goal. But what Martial did ehn, CR7 would want to add self - fishiness to his.
Ronaldo would have gone to the ground, of course, he is 38 years, so it’s quite understandable. But the pass to Rashford, Ronaldo would have done it conveniently and even quicker. I though Martial was a bit slow with the pass.

That is irrelevant. 30 percent possession is not a recipe for sustainable wins. It is similar to some of the wins we had during Ole’s honeymoon period.
30 percent possession against at least 10 EPL teams is like Oleball or even Mouball. It won’t end well.

The team was pragmatic yesterday. I am okay if we play like this against the big boys. We just need to find a way to create and take chances when we dominate possession against others.

This sprint and distance stats doesn't really mean much. The team with more possession will always have the low sprints and distance covered. Liverpool had 70 percent of the ball so of course they will run less than us. Just like when we had 70 percent possession against Brentford and they ran more.
This makes sense. I believe if we are high up on the pitch and we dominate play, we won’t need to sprint a lot or cover distances. Also, it would be easier to press from the front with less effort. I believe that’s where ETH wants to get to.
