Amrabat looks slow to me sha, but it’s fine if he will be taking on the DM role. Tackling and recovering the ball are the main tasks. Other midfielders can help with ball progression. He is also okay re passing the ball.

Try and get my point. We needed the ‘Mount’ money to buy a DM. Mount is completely useless and not better than VDB and McTom.

Out defence has the numbers. We have two players per position. Varane - Maguire, Martinez - Lindelof, AWB - Dalot, Malacia - Shaw. Asides the 8 players, we have two fringe players (Evans and Bailey) and two younglings that are very happy to slot in if necessary. The reason we have 12 defenders is in case some of our starters are injured. A loan move for the LB position makes sense. Anything beyond that is ridiculous.

I get that you don’t want to see OGS and Mou players, but we can’t go buy one more defender per position because we don’t want to see existing players. It will happen gradually and we would need to also sell existing ones.
