Dayoto:Hi, It's a free world my friend...The thread is for questions and answers... I'm sure you've got a lot of questions to ask too; please share your questions and views (as long as they ain't insulting or finger pointing) it's all good. Let's study and know the truth 'cos only the truth will set us free. John 8:32. Stay blessed. |
Hey brotherly, Please no insults... The point of this is to shed more lights into the darkened world that seem bestowed on many... Stay blessed. Ogbakolo: |
Hi everyone, Straight to my talk for today; like my late dad will always say, never let anyone shut you off asking questions...As questions are meant to be asked, so are answers meant to be provided. And I strongly believe, it's a fool that will say "though I don't know, I will rather not bother to ask". This thread is solely for reasonable and justifiable answers/comments, this space is not an opportunity to insult or portray aggressiveness in whatever way that may seem possible. A summary before I commence my questions. This thread is not to be associated with the vibe to attack anyone, it's primary objective is to throw lights into some questions that seem hidden or rather not answered and let's do the reasonable thing the Lord said in - Isaiah 1:18 "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool". Mohammed was born 600 years after the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, that's like 1400 years ago into a pagan family in mecca. Unfortunately, his father died before he was born. He travelled frequently with his uncle to Syria (which was then a Christian community), he was familiar with the Bible, Jewish teachings etc... To cut the whole story short 'cos we are all familiar with the story, let's ask ourselves some questions that need truthful and sincere answers... Before I commence my questions, disregarding Surah 5:101-102 as started below, I tend to ask myself how will I know if I don't ask questions? So I guess we've all settled to me asking my questions. Surah 5:101-102 - "O ye who believe! Ask not questions about things which if made plain to you, may cause you trouble. Some people before you did ask such questions, and on that account lost their faith." Surah 10:94 says "So if you are in doubt, [O Muhammad], about that which We have revealed to you, then ask those who have been reading the Scripture before you. The truth has certainly come to you from your Lord, so never be among the doubters. We all believe God is all knowing God and he knows the end right before the beginning even starts... My muslim folks tells me the bible was corrupted and that was why God had to reveal new things to Mohammed, so I ask myself: Question (1.) If bible was corrupt as at when Mohammed was born, why will God refer him to the people that were reading the scripture before he was even conceived? - Note: Some of my muslim dudes will say the verse says "IF"; and since he doesn't have doubts, he ain't got reasons to ask anyone... Well, but he was told he can refer to IF he has? So why should that even happen? Some of my other folks will say "that verse was not referring to the bible but other scripture"... But I am like, the scripture in the statement is singular, which refers to a single item; which scripture therefore could the quran be referring to if not bible? Come to think of it, how can we say the bible is corrupt when it was written by different authors, in different locations as given by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and everything points to each other? I think if the bible was altered, the first part that should be altered should be Revelation 22:19 (And if anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll). Note: In my understanding, so this means God expects everyone (+Muslims and traditionalist etc) to study and believe the "before books" which is the Bible (Both Old and New Testaments)...FYI: The bible is a collection of scriptures written at different times by different authors in different locations as given by the inspirational of the Holy Spirit; 2 Tim 3:16 (All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness). Question 2.) If so be it that we say it was corrupted, What are the verses that we can show to backup this statement in reference to saying these verses are corrupt? Note: All the scripts were compiled into 1 book called the bible around 95 AD. So it means Both Old and New Testaments were around long before Mohammed was born. Also, Sura 6:115 points out that "And the word of your Lord has been fulfilled in truth and in justice. None can alter His words, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing"...So understanding this, it means no one can ever change God's words. Surah 3:45 points out that Jesus is the messiah which means the anointed one by God... "[And mention] when the angels said, "O Mary, indeed Allah gives you good tidings of a word from Him, whose name will be the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary - distinguished in this world and the Hereafter and among those brought near [to Allah ]." Question 3.) Was there any other prophets before or after Jesus that was called the anointed one? Sura 3:49 makes us to understand that Jesus has power over death "And [make him] a messenger to the Children of Israel, [who will say], 'Indeed I have come to you with a sign from your Lord in that I design for you from clay [that which is] like the form of a bird, then I breathe into it and it becomes a bird by permission of Allah . And I cure the blind and the leper, and I give life to the dead - by permission of Allah . And I inform you of what you eat and what you store in your houses. Indeed in that is a sign for you, if you are believers." Question 4.) Why are muslims not a follower of Jesus Christ? ... Muslims claim to believe in Jesus Christ, well, we know that's not for real anyway. But the question here is, why are muslims not a follower of Jesus Christ? The Quran itself points out that God is gonna destroy those who don't follow Him. Note: To follow someone means you gotta believe in the person, and be a disciple of the person. I am sure some muslims will say we are follower of Jesus... But you and I know that lying is a sin because how will you follow someone and be against him? Sura 3:55-57 "[Mention] when Allah said, "O Jesus, indeed I will take you and raise you to Myself and purify you from those who disbelieve and make those who [b]follow you [in submission to Allah alone] superior to those who disbelieve until the Day of Resurrection. Then to Me is your return, and I will judge between you concerning that in which you used to differ. And as for those who disbelieved, I will punish them with a severe punishment in this world and the Hereafter, and they will have no helpers." But as for those who believed and did righteous deeds, He will give them in full their rewards, and Allah does not like the wrongdoers.[/b] Question 5) Do you know where you are going after death? It seems like Mohammed doesn't know what will happen to his followers nor even to him ... Surah 46:9 "Say, "I am not something original among the messengers, nor do I know what will be done with me or with you. I only follow that which is revealed to me, and I am not but a clear warner."" But this is my testimony, Jesus knows ... John 14:2 " In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you." Question 6) Who originated lslam? Well, some of my muslim folks told me Islam had been before Mohammed was born but the Jews dropped the religion and followed false teaches... Okay, so I searched for this all through in the quran that Islam was the religion Abraham, Isaac, Moses etc were following before Mohammed was born and I did not come across any. Kindly please help me out here... Note: Abraham, Isaac, Moses and other Godly people that were before Jesus were not referred to as Christians in the bible, rather they were called Saints/Servants of God/Prophets etc. The first place the word "Christian" was mentioned in the bible was in the book of Acts 11:26. "and when he found him, he brought him to Antioch. So for a whole year Barnabas and Saul met with the church and taught great numbers of people. The disciples were called Christians first at Antioch."... This means that Christianity is not a religion but rather a "way of life". The Followers/Disciples of Christ were first called Christians because people saw that they were living in the Like-wise of Christ. So to those Christians/Others that take up Christianity as a religion, sorry to tell you it's not...So according to question 5, if you as a muslim says you are a follower of Christ as stated in the quran, then you should be called a Christian. Last Question. Question 7) How did Islam spread around the world especially around middle east that were all Christian dominating regions? Based on history, I realised Muslims waged wars "caliphate war" etc over these regions to overthrow them and draw as many as possible to islam or kill them.. Hmm... No need to point out verses, we all know them. Please post your comments and let's review my questions. Stay Blessed. |

So according to Sony, they established the fact that Xperia Z1 is a waterproof device and as long as the device ports are shut properly, the phone is usable under water for at most 30minutes. I guess someone might wanna ask if My phone was left inside water for 30minutes. Well, I Went to the pool today, and about leaving, I decided to put my phone inside water with a 30 seconds count down. After 30 seconds, I pulled my phone out and lo and behold, the phone isn't coming up again. Now my phone is with the repairer trying to revive the device's life. All ports were shut properly and I wonder if it was a 30minutes countdown. Lol. A lot of peeps have got this exact complaint about the Sony Z series phones. A South African woman even made Sony removed Waterproof marketing strategy off there advert records in SA on Sony Z series phones... Just sharing my experience too to alert someone not to try this except you've got your warranty still up and running or you're ready to pay a phone service engineer. Lesson learnt. |
God bless your marriage man... |

The situation of Nigerians in the school is getting critical daily as most Nigerian guys in the school steal, rape, also involve in 419(yahoo yahoo) and moreovr cos problems for the ghanaians in the school. Most Nigerian babes r involve in yahoo yahoo inline with there so called Nigerian boyfriends and they are been use as the beauty bait to enrol the victims to fall to the pit dugged. Nigerians are no longer respected in d school and the country in general. God b with us ooo, |

marriage is not all about managing compactibility but managing imcompactibility, guess u know what that means? |
I believe something in life, and that is nothing ut DESTINY.your destiny in life determines a lot of things. the normal or minimum age at which a lady should get married is age 21 and for a guy age 24. Marriage is not all about age but maturity and according to a prof. he defined marriage has managing incompatibility not compatibility. Meaning that individual came from different background now coming together knwing fully well that they are brought up with different characters, but the main thing is that if u know that u are not yet ripe for marriage dont go into it cos u may cry out of it, most especially females |

Dear Taiwo, When you reach out for what you cannot handle, you end up with more problems on your hands. That’s exactly what my predicament is all about. I never bargained for the whole mess I am currently witnessing. In fact, it was never on my agenda, not to talk of any other unexpected troubles. I got engaged to Mike when I was in my late teens. Then, Mike had got admission to one of the universities in the southern part of Nigeria. The day I met Mike will remain evergreen in my memory because it was one of the happiest days of my life. By my late teens, I had been longing for a responsible companion, I could not really understand what was responsible for this, perhaps it was because I am the only child of my parents. Actually, my mother had a hand in it; she was pestering me and telling me to do whatever I needed to do on time and give her a grandchild. So the day I met Mike was really a happy day in my life. I was preparing for my senior secondary school examinations then. As a result of this, I had to hang around in school for extra-murals. On this particular day, during the course of my waiting, I decided to seek comfort for my hungry stomach in a restaurant very close to my school. I sat in a corner because I was shy and I didn’t want unnecessary attention. I ordered for a plate of rice (which was my favourite food) and a bottle of soft drink. I started to eat. I was so engrossed in my meal that I did not notice a gentle man who came in and sat in front of me. I was startled when I heard a male voice that said, 'hello angel.' I looked up to see who the intruder was; I saw an extremely handsome man, and I was compelled by his looks to stare at him for a very long time before I remembered that I must be very conscious of the way I look at people, especially when meeting them for the first time. I nodded my head in response to his greetings after several minutes of admiration. I felt ridiculous and embarrassed but I still summoned enough courage to look at him. I cleared my throat at last to say something: “Good afternoon sir,” I said. It was apparent that Mike was much more older than me. "How are you baby,” he said this with a broad smile. "Fine thanks, I replied.” I said this as if I wasn’t even interested in him. You know ladies for what we are. We must pretend as if we are not interested in getting acquitted with our admirer so that he won’t take advantage or think one is too cheap. Although I was still a teenager, I already looked so grown up. After some minutes of small talks, I developed a special interest in Mike and within those few minutes, I discovered that Mike was very intelligent, brilliant social, honest and amiable. He was also very fluent in English. During the course of our talk, I learnt he had just been admitted into the higher institution and he was studying Chemical Engineering. I also got to know that he was from Ondo State. That was how we started our friendship. Initially, he made me to realise that he just wanted friendship, but gradually, he started whispering another message entirely. Since it was my prayer and aspiration to get a responsible man like Mike, I never raised any objection to his proposal. One thing that really thrilled me about Mike was that he never made an attempt to have sex with me, perhaps it was because he knew I was a virgin. Moreover, immediately I finished my secondary school education, I got admitted to University of Port-Harcourt where I studied Banking and Finance. Mike would come to my school almost every two weeks and stay over for the weekend. We could hardly stay apart for a month. During my third year at the university, Mike went for service. He was posted to Jos, so it was very difficult for him to visit me during this period. But our past activities were my consolation. Two years after, I also went for my National Youth Service programme. In the course of my service, we were earnestly preparing for our wedding. Before I finished my service, Mike had got job in an oil company in Lagos. This added immensely to our happiness, it also accelerated our wedding preparation. To cut a long story short, I got married to Mike three years after my NYSC. My joy knew no bounds when I discovered that I was pregnant three months after our wedding. I informed Mike about the new development. He was so happy that he declared a work-free day for the celebration of my pregnancy. I delivered a bouncing set of twins (two boys). Mike was jumping as if the twins would determine how he would spend his life beyond eternity. The two boys were the replica of their father. I mean real carbon copies. My parents and his own parents were very happy about this and it also brought about a kind of unity that had been lacking between them. Two years after, Mike travelled to the U S which had always been his dream and aspiration. He stayed in the US for six years which really brought about my present predicament. Before Mike left for the United States, he had helped me to secure a job in one of the prominent banks in Lagos; we were residing in Lagos, so it wasn’t difficult for me to take care of my twins. I didn’t have any financial stress. Mike went to study with the assistance of his company. But tragedy struck when my bank manager started showing interest in me. Initially I refused to be used. I told him point-blank that I was a married woman with a set of twins. How could I be so stupid to date another married man when my own husband was loving? I told him in a respectful way that I was afraid that in the course of the relationship, I might ruin my marriage. George would not let me rest. He would tell me he loved me and that he was ready to take care of me, irrespective of my status. When it was obvious that George would not leave me alone, I thought of giving him a trial. It was a trial that led into temptation and a temptation that actually led to my destruction. We started this illicit affair four years after Mike’s departure. Although George was a caring lover, Mike possessed all the qualities I wanted in a man. All along our relationship, I had been very careful and conscious of my misdeed but I was a fool to think that I could play safe. Unfortunately, I discovered that I was three months pregnant. I nearly killed myself but I thought of what would become of my twins if I decided to kill myself. I love Mike, I love him so dearly and I never intended to cheat on him but it was the devil. All along, he had been sending gifts and money from the US and he made sure he writes every two weeks. When I discovered that I was pregnant, I did not even bother to tell George. I went straight to see a gynaecologist in order to get rid of the pregnancy. But the doctor said I should not try any abortion because it could cost me my life. I thought the doctor wasn’t experienced and I went to another doctor. He also told me the same thing. Taiwo, I can no longer sleep, eat and I am seriously downcast. Mike still sends gifts and he always ask after his boys. I still love him so dearly. Please what can I do before I run mad? I need a honest piece of advice. Taiwo, honestly, I cannot stand my in-laws Rita, Lagos |
Thanks for this post. I will love to ask this question and it goes to the person that posted this. Is it a doctor that go and see a patient or the patient goes for attention from the doctor? |
