RealityShot: if you want to do that biz.
go n learn it n start.
Nigeria is good at making laws..enforcing laws is her greatest flaw!
as for that biz...what will petrochemical refineries owned by govt produce after such ban ?
go n start
AS FOR TBILLS... Lol!
govt wants to keep it for its cronies to multiply their loots..
we still have Money Market Funds that can invest in tbills as institutional investor.
THOSE GOVT OFFICIALS (C-B-N) READING this thread and thinking we all are putting all our funds in tbills..
and u want to fix that by forcing us out of tbills..
YOU ARE FORCING PEOPLE TO HYIP! when those hyip (mba) close, u will see reactions against govt that u wont like!
FYI we have sources of income, we are giving govt cheap loans-try bank Hmmm... On the issue of TBs, government should actually be regulating the 'banks' and not the harmless citizens providing cheap loans to the government for a modest return. What we refer to as banks in Nigeria are actually mere business centres with little or no interest in growing the real sectors of the economy. |

healthserve: Funny enough I designed an ecosystem to keep the entire country clean, but one specially for Oyo state. Create jobs and receyle wastes. Testing running it on a micro level by Feb next year. Let's look to creating solutions to societal problems we see. As I'm mentored, the moment you spot a problem, you've found your calling and can create a business Sir.
I'm totally against completely phasing out plastics without deliberate mapped out plan on creating holistic solutions plastics use gives opportunity to.
All around our cities these days, in the absence of jobs, people pick plastics, sell them to factories. You need to see how waste recycling and management though unorganized and informal is improving lives.
I visited five dump sites collecting data earlier this year, and wastes is really improving lives. From rubber tyres to tin to metals to paper to plastics.
I really would wish globally we'll consider letting plastic live but I doubt the longevity of plastics. Lab-designed and enginereed fibre biodegradable plastics may replace plastics in few years There's surely better ways of doing things and getting desired results without leaving trails of doom. Banning should be a medium to long term plan and should be implemented in phases with mapped out campaigns in place. |

Donbrig: Nylon business is a no go area, the govt is truly making plans to start a harsh campaign against that business because of the environmental harzard plastics normally cause, it takes hundred of years for a plastic waste to decay and Nigeria is yet to have good system for recycling plastics or introduce a more environmental friendly plastics to Nigerians, like they have in Europe or America. My family has a nylon business and we have received several letters from different govt agencies. Hmm...but government at all levels in Nigeria is so bereft of workable solutions. No holistic approaches to solving problems. There are economic, social and legal angles to solving environmental challenges. Has the government considered the economic impact of an outright ban on nylon/plastics? Even at a time when poverty and unemployment is at an all time high? What happens to the livelihood of the players in that field? Using a sledgehammer to kill an house fly never ends well. The solution lies in implementing proper waste management systems that include segregation and recycling of nylon/plastics. Nigeria should already be annexed to Singapore, Japan or China! Better still, Nigeria should be put up for sale on the international market and sold off to the lowest bidder |

healthserve: Lol@ legit looters. My hands are up
Let's test the waters together so you'll find your answers yourself personally. Go to any nylon producing factory and buy different nylons worth let's say 40-60k. Itemize the until price of each. Next, approach market places advertising your wares putting your profit on it of course. By the time that exercise is finished you'll have your answers practically and personally.
There are deliberations globally to phase out nylon but it hasnt rreached ddefinitive point. Polymer is a broad industry, if polyethylene is phased out from food packaging. Others like High density polyethylene HDPE sacks like flour, rice bags will Stoll be used Sir which means the business has its own eco system, and turning off one sector only means going into the other. Along the line, you'll find out recyking nylon is big big gold business that if you even engage in this, you'll forget about the production and Marketing sectors.
LDPE recycling is golden, be it in the local or international communities. Go offline do your due diligence Sir Okay Sir. Thanks for your time. Regards. |
Investment › Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by niyoni: 10:51am On Nov 03, 2019 |
healthserve: All aspects of the Polymer chain is profitable.
Marketing is easy and very lucrative. You buy from the factory and resell in retail markets.
Production and Marketing is very good. This way you occupy two sectors of the value chain
If you want to test the waters, start with marketing. If you want to go into production, you need a comprehensive business report on this. Note, this is an industry that needs stable electricity to survive I.e very big generators one for regular use, a standby generator in case the main one fails. Not to forget machinery, for an investor that comes in ready, this is a good business. But one I advice an investor with irregular cash flow to keep from
By the way you can also engage in low scale nylon production without a factory. With as little as one million this can be done, you can imort nylon granules into the country, approach a producing factory to process them into nylone and pay the charges, and you'll become a medium scale nylon producer. There are billions of companies that sell the granules online. But you'll need an insider to guide you on this process. What's to gain you may ask, imagine making 1.5 naira profit per nylon on just marketing a nylon alone, producing gives the ability to make about 80% more profit when you shi in the granules and produce your nylons. Now owning the factory itself raises the profit margin one notch higher again.
If you want to do just marketing, get a bus. Nylon is very heavy much heavier than you'll imagine in large quantities.
Find the moniker Adeyemi80. He handles this department perfectly Sir
Disclaimer : This comment is a simple business discussion. I am not in anyway soliciting for investments, money, loan, partnership or private business discussion. Thanks for the insight. Do you think the nylon business has a future in Nigeria? I got some unverified information that the federal legislators (abi legit-looters ) are in the process of passing laws against the use of nylon in Nigeria. |

Absoj: Well, itll not act like an i 4 engine. Its a V6 but not a guzzler compared to pathfinders and Mitsubishi. Its consumption is OK for its size. I mean the 2006 n above. From kaduna to Lagos roughly 15- 20k fuel with useless okene traffic jam oo As a matter of fact i hardly see the difference too when air conditioner is working or not. Recently, The only challenge i notice is in kaduna and one lag traffic jam ...a very prolonged useless traffic jam i met in lag one evening ...twas a night mare( from mile 2 to Ojo) Another sweet thing about the engine is that in a static traffic jam or when the engine is idling, it saves more fuel- as if the cylinders shut down 2 of them leaving only 4 to work. Call it VCM variable cylinder mgt sort of. But above all. Its a good deal and engines reliable. Okay. Thank you. |

Absoj: The demand makes it expensive. Too much demand.now pushes dealers to bring in dangerous and accepted ones. My neighbour fell victim to a severely mauled/accidented corolla. What he spent made him have a rethink Hi @Absoj. How is the fuel consumption of the Honda pilot with regular use of the air conditioning? I hear it's a fuel guzzler....how true is that? |

Investment › Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by niyoni: 2:42pm On Jun 19, 2019 |
HeliosHay: Unless otherwise stated, any financial rate quoted is on a per annum basis.
To figure out your monthly rate, you simply divide by 12.
For e.g, if its 12.5% per annum, you'll earn 1.04% per month
Those rates by Georgisuria are not what you earn after 30 days...granted the way it was conveyed is slightly misleading (he/she probably didn't do it on purpose) for the uninformed Okay. Thanks for clarifying. |

Thanks sir @Georgisuria, are u saying that if I deposit 2 million naira at Baobab MFB for 30 days, I will be entitled to 2.25 million naira I.e my 2 million naira plus 250k interest? |
