PoliticsWhy Do Security Officers Stay Behind Every Nigerian President Doing A Speech by Nizstephen(op): 2:45pm On Nov 13, 2013
Its been a thing of concern when watching presidents from other countries especially Obama while making any speech stand free on their own, with dis strong note of security around him bt nt really behind him, this things makes me pounder towards my own country, y do security officials stand behind our presidents while making any speech? Is this act really an act of security?, can the guy behind him stop any straight bullet from piercing through his fore head, unlike the USA n other countries when their president comes out to make any speech security measures has been taken already to dictate any red pointing towards the part of the president. So I ask if d security official that stands behind the president(goodluck E jonathan) really of importance?.

EducationRe: What Are You Currently Studying And What Do You Hope To Be In Future? by Nizstephen(m): 4:26pm On Oct 01, 2013
zebra: U can do the Msc Statistics, which is also theoretical. U can from there begin to apply statistical methods to solving real life problems and in supporting research in the scientific, business, marketing, economic, political, social and biotechnology fields. Most applied statisticians work with researchers where they provide statistical support in form of designing experiments and analysing high dimensional data/interpretation of results.
tanx man God bless ur hustles
EducationRe: What Are You Currently Studying And What Do You Hope To Be In Future? by Nizstephen(m): 7:48pm On Sep 30, 2013
zebra: Why not just stick to research and statistical analyses? It's more applied than computational statistics. Computational statistics is more of theory. U spend all ur time developing/writing statistical algorithms.
ok so how do I go about it in the best way if I wanna go 4 a masters in research and statistical analyses wat will it be called asin would it be information research or what?

Currently studying statistics and I hope 2 combine my statistical knowledge in the computer sector (computational statistics) currently thinking of working with softwares(SAS) that are statistical in nature to solve problems in diff aspect of life even in business. Am still thinking of more things to embark on when I graduate, but major areas 4 now are *computational statistics and *information research
EducationRe: Nigerian University That Deserves To Be Among World's Top 100 Universities? by Nizstephen(m): 7:53am On Sep 19, 2013
Red_Card: Earlier this month, a list of the World's Top 100 Universities was published (anyone who can post a link to the list should do it please because I don't know how to create a link). As usual, universities in the US lead the list followed by the UK universities.

Universities in Canada, Japan, China as well as Australlian Universities all made the list. I don't think an African University had a spot on that list.....you guys should correct me if am wrong. I haven't been to the US or UK but I believe some of the Universities they listed are no longer as good as they used to be which is why Oxford didn't take take the number one spot.

Some of the schools might have been overrated. While I believe Unilag, Uniuyo, FUTO and even Unizik my dream Uni are overhyped and undersevedly glorified, I still think a Nigerian University deserves atleast a mention. Even when top African Universities are mentioned, Nigerian Universities are usually left out or placed at the bottom of the list but I don't think we are that bad.

I think it's high time they place a Nigerian Uni on the top 100 Universities list even if it would be at the bottom. I don't know what you guys think but am voting Uniben. I think they deserve an honorary mention.

Next time, we'll be talking about good and bad Nigerian school hostels.
seems u'r a jambite still hyping nigerian uni
Nairaland GeneralPowers Of The Youthful Age by Nizstephen(op): 11:04pm On Sep 13, 2013
The youthful age known as a delicate period in ones life provides one with so much strength physically, one begins to see him/her self exhibit little habits of maturity as he grows towards becoming a full grown adult. Youths are regarded as the future leaders of any nation, to some nations the youths play vital roles in the nations economy while they are still youths, and to some they bear the title of being the future leaders till they are well grown. Empowering the youths is one aspect of any nation that shouldn't be over looked, in some nations the youths are empowered with the ability of acquiring free education and in some skill acquisition takes the place of education during empowerment . Firstly any youth that doesn't know how to use his youthful powers or any youth that doesn't know the importance of his youthful age misses the track when he gets into a well grown adult, checking this out with an example of a boy who aspires towards becoming a reputable doctor in the future and his sent to the university to acquire the knowledge in a particular area of medicine and goes to the university flexing his way into a secret cult, going out with the best of girls on campus his youthful age begins to grow little hairs below his jaw, little time is now been spent with his books, while so much time goes to fleshy requirements of this same youthful age. He also gradually sees his youthful age grow muscular voice, this the same boy that had his greatest wish as becoming a reputable doctor, finds his way out of the university by the means of the so called corrupt process of the nigerian university, Gets employed immediately in a reputable hospital by the same corrupt nigerian system with a 3rd class degree, he's been given a patient to operate on, operates on the patient and ends up forgetting a scissors in the patients body, indeed a reputable doctor he his. He began the biggest mistake of his life doing his youthful age. The powers of the youthful age cannot be over looked at or emphasized. Though the youths are not meant to be blamed that much when they end up as nothing, what is expected from the youths in a country that when the truth is been told could be your path way to jail or a warrant for great punishment. A country where they buy admissions and results more than the way they buy meat in the market, A country where the rich send their children abroad for education and do nothing to the educational system of their own country so that atleast their children won't send their own children to school abroad. My further mathematics teacher ones told me "a nation where the youths have no vision is like a problem in mathematics that has an answer without any solving" the youths are meant to know the power they possess, the power that embraces education, skill acquisitions and a vision filled mind. I always tell my friends that "education is no warrant for success its just an added advantage" so a youth that is educated and thinks he has succeeded without any vision to bring success to reality is walking in no mans land. The strength one gets in his youthful age is one that can't come again as he grows older, still it is noted that they exhibit lazy attitudes that someone above the youth age won't complain of . It is of great importance that youths begin to know the importance of the power they possess for a better nation and for a better tomorrow.
