Immediately after her swearing - in as the Executive Chairman of Bonny LGA by His Excellency, Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, CON, Dame Hon. Anengi Barasua, JP, rolled her sleeves to work leaving nobody in any doubt that she truly came to serve the people and not to be served; as it has become a tradition to see her either supervising ongoing projects, monitoring compliance to directives , or assessing submitted executed jobs on her table.


Expectedly, the workaholic Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area, Dame Hon. Anengi Barasua, JP, was on Monday, November 29th, 2021, visited a select strategic locations in the area, on the spot assessment ahead of the yelutide season and 25th royal anniversary celebration of His Majesty , King Dr. Edward Asimini William Dappa III,JP, CON, Perekule XI, Natural Ruler and Amanyanabo of Grand Bonny Kingdom.


During the timely inspection assessment tour of the area, the Council Boss, Dame Anengi Barasua, JP, alongside Amasenibo Blessing Ezekiel Hart, Sub-Committee Chairman on Maintenance and Sanitation, of the forthcoming epoch-making event, bemoaned the residents on the spate of erected illegal structures which obstruct free flow of water in the various drainages and walkways.

While addressing the press, infuriated Dame Anengi Barasua , JP, advised the people to always maintain good hygiene by keeping their surroundings clean even as she directed for the removal of all illegal structures with immediate effect as grace of one week compliance was given them between Monday , November 29th to Friday , December 3, 2021.

However, at the Coal Beach area, a rather proactive Madam Chairman ordered all cargo and boat owners at the jetty; including traders, to vacate the area within one week for a comprehensive clean up of the messy environment.

To this end, the workaholic Council Boss, Dame Hon. Anengi Barasua, JP, reiterated her avowed commitment to demolishing all illegal structures on drainage areas, walkways and road sides as disobedience to the early warnings and directives shall attract stringent penalties.

Meanwhile, other areas visited by Madam Chairman during her on the spot assessment inspection tour in Bonny LGA , 4th Estate Reporters authoritatively gathered, included; Slaughter market, Ikuba Market, Mission Road, Government Primary School Compound, New Road, Wilbros Pipeline and Workers' Camp.

As part of the activities that lined up for the colorful and epoch -making event of his golden anniversary; 50th birthday, the Assistant Publicity Secretary, Association of Ndieze Ndigbo in the Diaspora and Eze Igbo Ghana, His Royal Majesty Eze Dr. Amb. Chukwudi Jude Ihenetu (Eze Ohazurume I of Ghana), through a passionate driven delegation of his Foundation led by Imo frontline Publisher, Njoku MacDonald Obinna, doled out cartoons of noodles , rolls of tissue papers , washing detergents, other toiletries and cash donation to the Nigerian Red Cross Society (Orphanage Home), Holy Family Sisters Of The Needy - St. Joseph's Home for Orphans & Destitues, Okwu Uratta, and Owerri Correctional Center (Prisons ); as a demonstration of his gratitude to God for recording a milestone in his life in sound health, protection and prosperity of family, peace and unity in Ghana -Igbo community and accelerated development on the Igbo Throne in the Republic of Ghana as a Monarch.

The humanitrian outreach which took place in Owerri, the Imo State capital, on Saturday, November 13th, 2021, had a popular Nigerian born, but Ghanaian - based fiery cleric and presiding Bishop of the Throne of Grace Prayer City, His Lordship, Archbishop Dr. Owen Chris, alongside other friends of EzeIgbo Ghana Foundation in the list of the visit.


While receiving the food materials and cash donation from the Head of the Humanitrian Outreach delegation ably led by Njoku MacDonald Obinna, on behalf of Eze Igbo Ghana Foundation, Rev. Sis. Justina Ogbunna of the Holy Family Sisters of the Needy, thanked the Foundation for such show of love and support to the orphans and destitues in the society at a trying time like this. The children at the orphanage home held hands together as they unanimously prayed for HRM Eze Dr. Amb. Chukwudi Ihenetu and members of his Foundation delegation.


In the same vein, Mrs. Juliet Ahaneku of the Nigerian Society for Red Cross who received the food materials and cash donation from Eze Igbo Ghana Foundation , however, expressed excitement with thanks to Eze Igbo Ghana for being thoughtful of the little orphans even from a very far distance; Ghana. The children at the Orphanage home also circled themselves as they showered heartwarming prayers for the Royal Father and members of his Foundation delegation.


The team had their final stop over at the Owerri Correctional Centre, Prisons, where they meticulously after thorough security checks distributed food relief materials to the Prisons wardens while asking God to strengthen the inmates who are serving various degrees of prison terms as their days of freedom approach gradually.

NOLLYWOOD VETERAN ACTOR, CLEM OHAMEZE RECEIVES FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR HIS SURGICAL OPERATION.

The Founder and General Overseer of Mercyland Deliverance Ministry, Senior Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin, last Sunday gifted Nollywood Veteran Actor , Clem Ohameze, the sum of Eight Million Naira for his procedural medical treatment abroad.

Recall the Nollywood star Actor, clem Ohameze took to his official Instagram Handle to solicit for Nigerians prayers as he submitted himself for surgical operation over the car accident he had sometime last year which made him disappear from movie scene for quite some time.

He broke down in tears when he received the cash free donation by Prophet Jeremiah for his medical treatment.

Thank God he spoke out and recieved shocking assistance as a number of his colleagues who had similar health challenges eventually died in silence out of pride as celebrities and screen divas.

The display of glamour, show of love and solidarity dotted the 4th Coronation Anniversary of one of the most powerful and influential monarchs in Africa, His Royal Majesty, King Ateke Michael Tom , JP, Sekuro of Niger Delta, Amanyanabo of Okochiri Ancient Kingdom, as Rivers people across all walks of life gathered in Okirika on Saturday, November 27th, 2021, to witness the epoch-making event of the dedication of his multi-billion Naira Sekuro Palace which held many spellbound.

The watershed event which brought distinguished men and women from the Nigerian Oil and Gas Sector, Captians of industry, top management staff of leading banks, Nollywood movie stars, members of the ivory tower, respected traditional rulers in the Niger Delta; Rivers, Bayelsa, Edo, Cross River, Akwa Ibom States, respectively, as well as different socio- political support groups , also had conspicuously in attendance the Rivers State governor, His Excellency, Chief Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, CON, alongside the retinue of his colorful entourage.

During his remarks, Chairman of the occasion and Nigerian former Minister of Transportation, Dr. Abiye Sekibo, maintained that: King Ateke Tom is an illustrious son of Rivers State whose exemplary traditional leadership has brought peace not only in his homestead, but also across the Niger Delta having waged war against both internal and external invasion of the region through constructive and proactive freedom fighting engagements . Dr. Sekibo, however, saluted the resilence of Governor Nyesom Wike in many commissioned projects; while commending him for his radical revolution in road construction, urban renewal and numerous legacy projects which have put the state on the map of global attention as Rivers is now doubbed 'The Project Capital of Nigeria .'

The high point of the event was the Palace dedication and rare chieftaince title confernment on the Rivers State Governor, His Excellency, Chief Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, CON, as Se -Taribo of Okochiri Kingdom by His Royal Majesty, King Michale Ateke Tom- the Amanyanabo of Okochiri Ancient Kingdom.

In his speech, Governor Nyesom Wike said that since the key responsiblity of a traditional ruler is to help the government in maintaining peace and orderliness in his domain, King Ateke Tom has done excellently well in this regard by ensuring that his Kingdom and entire Okirika is very peaceful.

While thanking the Monarch for the honour bestowed upon him, Governor Wike, however, dedicated the chieftaince title honour to the good people of Rivers State who elected him to serve them in that capacity.

The obviously elated invited guests and other tourists were not only mesmerized by the touch of hospitality of King Ateke Tom, but also overtaken by the sounds and bites of the cultural dance of Okrika community.

Meanwhile, as part of the culture of the Riverine people, sumptuous native meals and vintage brands from classy winery were adequately served the guests ; which shall leave lasting impression in the beautiful memories of all in attendance.

Sound, proactive , articulate, youthful and useful House member representing Bonny Constituency at the Rivers State House of Assembly; Hon. Engr. Abinye Blessing Pepple, has become a recurring decimal in the political discuss of Rivers State as he represents dynamism, new hope, and a new era in democratic representation ever since assumption of office in 2015.


Born December 9th, 1977, into the family of Amaopusenibo Blessing Pepple of Jack-Wilson Pepple dynasty in Bonny Ancient Kingdom.

BONNY LG CHAIRPERSON, DAME ANENGI BARASUA TAKES PROACTIVE STEPS AGAINST INSECURITY, MEETS MOTORCYCLE UNION OPERATORS, REITERATES STAND ON 8PM BAN IN PLACE.


At a trying time like this in our national life, security has remained a major key factor in arresting social vices and activities of militia groups across the country; so as to ensure sustainable economic growth while encouraging direct foreign investment.

From the above narrative, the newly appointed Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area, Rivers State, Dame Hon. Mrs. Anengi Barasua JP, in the early hours of Monday, November 22rnd, 2021, met with leaders of the Motorcycle sections of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), and the Peace Association (P.A), in a bid to ensuring security of lives and property in the LGA and across neighboring towns of the rich oil and Bonny Kingdom.

The Amazon, Dame Anengi Barasua during the heartwarming interactive session with the Union leaders at the Government Lodge, Bonny, expressed concern over the rising cases of Commercial Motorcycle involvement in nearly every crime report around Bonny LGA, while warning that her Administration would not spare any Commercial Motorcyclist found wanting in the line of duty.

The Council Boss, Dame Anengi, however, informed the commercial motorcycle regulators that the LGA Authority is fashioning out workable template and modalities in ensuring proper registration and identification of motorcycle operators popularly known as Okada Riders, with keen adherence to safety measures through the use of hard-hats and reflector vests both bearing reg numbers , just as she reiterated the 8PM ban on okada riders operations.

On their own parts , Chairmen of NURTW; Mr Tammy Benstowe and Peace Association; Mr Gibson Banigo said they already had a nominal register of their members, promising to corporate with Madam Chairman in achieving a more peaceful, secured and economically viable Bonny LGA.

CIRCULATION OF DANGEOUS COOKING GAS AS AN ALTERNATE TO THE STEADY INCREASE IN PRICES OF GAS, OTHER ESSENTIAL GOODS .

From the South- East, South-South, South-West, North Central and core North; life has been practically hellish and miserable!

Nigerians are going through the most turbulent era in our corporate existence as a nation. No doubt, we are individually and collectively wading through avoidable excruciating experience to the extent that even the 'rich also cry ' except those who choose to live in deceits and self denials - suffering and smiling.

Under the present Muhammadu Buhari's APC led Administration, Nigerians are faced with hydra-headed national challenges on all fronts: security impasse, extreme poverty, hyperinflation, high cost of food and essential consumables, lack of trust in government and its institutions at all levels, and worst still, there is no hope in sight and clearly defined solutions; way out of these challenges starring and daring us in the face.

However, as life has sustainably become so diffcult in Nigeria, the steady increase in prices of essentials is also quite frightening as people may not have any choice than to adjust and cut down their families recurring or daily budget for immediate survival.

Ironically, one of such essential goods that most families and home users may find so diffcult to cut down is the use of gas despite its steady increase in prices over the past few weeks and months. As a result, opportunist black marketers and mischievous importers have resorted to the sale of adultered gasoline inorder to create affordable alternate for the unsuspecting final consumers who are complaining about the steady increase of gas prices; from N4000, N4500, N5000, N5500, N6000, N7000, N75000 , N8000, N8500 to now N9000 in some places of 12.5kg.

Judging from the above background, I therefore, adopt an interventionist approach as to raise alarm on the growing concern over the circulation of substandard cooking gas in the country which calls for immediate investigation and action to avert fires in Nigerian homes.

May I also alert the nation to this development that the market is already flooded with cooking gas believed to be dangerous. It is suspected that the gas in question contains a higher proportion of propane, a highly explosive substance considered unsuitable to Nigeria 's tropical climate.

The pressure of the alleged imported gas, we learnt , is said to be four times higher than the locally produced cooking gas which contains butane ( a gas that is obtained from Petrolume and is used as fuel ) , a less dangerous substance. The gas is reportedly imported from Niger Republic and it is believed to be cheaper than the one produced locally, and the one imported through the regular traditional channels.

To this end, it is therefore incumbent on the SON- Standard Organisation of Nigeria, and DPR - Department of Petroleum Resources to investigate this report and stop the importation of the cooking gas forthwith.

The complaints trailing the circulation of dangerous cooking gas has also exposed the inefficiency of those manning our land borders.

This disturbing incidence and related activities in our borders should serve as a big challenge to the Nigerian Customs Service, as the welfare of Nigerians is more important than any supposed advantage of the cheaper gas. Of course, for pecuniary gains.

Sadly enough, Nigeria with surplus natural gas and projected 600 billion cubic feet of gas reserves, out of which an amount estimated to cost about $3billion is flared every three months, is still importing cooking gas. What a shame of a nation ?

The arguments in some Quaters , especially, among the experts and analysts in the Oil & Gas Industry, who are of the opinion that the imported cooking gas from Niger Republic and neighbouring African countries will help crash the prices of gas in our local market is, to say the least , lame and an open invitation to disorder ; a big threat to life.

Businesses are run to make profit, quiet agreed! But profit margin should not take the place of safety of millions of Nigerian consumers. While experts have repeatedly cautioned that most of the cylinders used in Nigeria are not designed to store high level of propane yet, the advice is not heeded.

To this end, we are calling on the relevant government agencies , especially DPR and SON, to embark on Public Enlightenment Campaign on the dangers of using substandard cooking gas. Such campaign and awareness should be carried out using different media organisations and languages to identify the dangerous cooking gas.

It is also important to proactively fish out those behind the importation and punish them accordingly to deter other intending importers of the product.

Regrettably, Nigerian government treats safety issues with levity until tragedy occurs.

A day like this affords us an opportunity to celebrate a veteran politician, critical stakeholder in Nwangele political leadership , father -figure and one of the experienced political players in the LGA, Hon. Chief Melody Mbamara (Anam -Eme- Otu of AmaIgbo), as he graciously turns 74 years in good health.


Given his grassroots political sagacity , Hon. Chief Mbamara Anozie Christian was appointed Nwangele LGA Transition Committee Chairman by then Governor Achike Udenwa in 2007, and was later appointed as Sole Administrator of Nwangele LGA by Governor Ikedi Ohakim in 2010 , having performed creditably well with his people -oriented projects, programs and policies as one of the recurring political decimals in the most strategic LGAs in Imo State.

His rich political resume was what laid the foundation for his emergence as the piooner Chairman of PDP in Nwangele LGA, a position which he held with candour making his presence strongly felt across Imo State.


A respected community leader with penchant for conflict resolution as he had served his Amalgbo community in different capacities.


As you celebrate your special day, your friends, family members , political allies and business associates are rolling the drums to celebrate a man of grace and a political warhorse who had dedicated the remaining part of his life to serve God and humanity.

True to his promise, Igwe Peter A. Uyanwa (Ezedike Ukwulu Kingdom) today; Friday, 12th Nov. 2021, hosted Mrs. Eunice, the upright lady from Ukwulu ward 1 who turned down an offer to sell her vote for a piece of cake even though her quiver isn't filled with cash.

High point of the event was the presentation of the Macaulay Heritage Foundation Award of Excellence presented to the lady with a cash sum of 50,000 Naira.

THIS COULD BE ONE OF THE REASONS.

Anambra State parades best brains both in the corporate world and within the political circle.

Ndi Anambra went for the best; the most prepared and qualified candidate for the job in the person of Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo , not after pecuniary gains. In my beloved Imo State, people seem to place their individual interest above the collective interest of the State, I think since the return of modern democracy in 1999.

To the chagrin of many keen observers of Anambara politics, the candidate of the People's Democratic Party, PDP, Mr. Valentine Ozigbo, conceded defeat , sent out a goodwill message and called the winner of the November 6th, 2021 Anambra Governrship Election, Prof. Charles Soludo , to congratulate him. Is it not heartwarming? Such show of sportsmanship !

Nigerian Minister of Labour and Productivity, a former governor of Anambra State and APC Chieftain under President Muhammadu Buhari 's led Federal Government, Dr. Chris Ngige has also done the needful to congratulate Charles Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA.

Senator Uche Ekwunife representing Anambra Central Senatorial District under the opposition party, PDP, had also congratulated his brother, Charles Soludo.

Sen Ifeanyi Ubah , the Young Progressive Party (YPP)'s governorship candidate and Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District had also done the needful. Many prominent sons and daughters of Anambra State across party lines have identified with Prof. Charles Soludo on his landslide victory in the just concluded Anambra State Governorship Elections. Many thanks to President Muhammadu Buhari who also demonstrated leadership by allowing the people votes and choices to count thereby, restoring the almost lost confidence many Nigerians have in our electoral umpire, the INEC.

Ironically, I have been reading some posts and comments why Anambra is not Imo . With the events of the recent past, Anambra seems not to be Imo for a number of reasons. Their politicians and state actors seem to be broadminded when it comes to the affairs of the Light of the Nation.

I see a people who delight more in the development and growth of Anambra State than their individual interest. To them, Anambra counts first, and should be placed above personal or party interest.

Just like in commerce and industry , Anambra politicians are more progressive in nature than their neighbouring sister state ; Imo politicians.

Anambra politicians and businessmen think first of what they will do for the progress of their state unlike in Imo State; where a number of the politicians both elected, appointed , political jobbers cluster around the Government House for the meagre monthly allocation from the Federation Account.

The plethoral and avalanche of goodwill messages that greeted Charles Soludo's emergence as governor -elect of Amambra State would have been a direct opposite if it were in my beloved State, Imo.

By now, those who lost out would have started compiling their documents and assembling team of lawyers to head to court for sustained legal fireworks.

If it were in Imo State, the losers would fight you from the Tribunal to Supreme Court. A case in point was the one between Sen. Hope Uzodimma of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and Chief Emeka Ihedioha of the Peoples Democratic Party.

Rt. Hon. Jones Onyereri of the PDP and Owelle Rochas Anayo Okorocha of the APC during the 2019 National Assembly Elections for Imo West Senatorial District.

You can see why Imo State produced 'Supreme Court Governor' and 'Supreme Court Senator'

The above name 'Supreme Court..' always gets me laughing. May the Almighty God forgive whoever that coined our governor this name. I learnt the guy is now in the APC.

Anyways, I am not against anyone who wishes to go to court for a redress over what they may interpret as electoral flaws or manipulations by their opponents during the elections. But Anambra has set the pace for a paradigm shift in leadership, a kind of brand new orientation and political ideology in governance. Anambra State above party politics. And to the close observers, this is highly commendable and a good leadership template for the state actors in the South East if we truly mean well to develop our region.

Beyond and above all this , in Valentine C Ozigbo , I saw a future for professionals in politics, not professional politicians .

Let's trust God that in the nearest future, our beloved Imo State shall begin to follow the political trajectory, sustainable policy, programs and projects transition from one government to another .

Anambra State has joined the league of States in the world that have administrative direction.
Economic stability through sustainability of good governance is the key.

PURPORTED BUT FAILED IMPEACHMENT OF THE DEPUTY SPEAKER OF IMO STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY, RT HONOURABLE AMARACHI CHYNA IWUANYANWU : CHASING THE WIND

I Laughed To High Heavens When My Attention Was Drawn To A So-called News Report On Social Media On The Purported Impeachment Of The Deputy Speaker Of The Imo State House Of Assembly, Rt Honourable Amarachi Chyna Iwuanyanwu, Earlier Today (02/11/2021). Not That The Deputy Speaker Cannot Be Removed If His Colleagues Deems It So, But Because As An Experienced Legislative Authority, I Saw Several Loopholes And Embarrassing Lacunae In The Social Media Impeachment. Nevertheless, I Decided To Go To Work And Dig Out The Bone Of Contention.

Firstly, I Called My Contacts Who Are My Footsoldiers In The State Assembly For Information To Digest..... For The Records, I Served As A Senior Special Assistant On Media At The IMHA, And As The Senior Special Assistant On Special Duties At The Same IMHA, Some Years Back. So I Perfectly Understand The Rules, And Have Access To Men And Materials In The Legislative Arm Of Government At Any Point In Time. My Findings Confirmed That The Purported Impeachment Of The Deputy Speaker, Amarachi Chyna Iwuanyanwu, Was Mischievously But Poorly Carried Out By The Speaker Of The Assembly, Rt Honourable Paul Emeziem, Who Could Not And Did Not Follow Laid Down Legislative Procedure And Process To Execute His Kangaroo Assignment Which Was Handed Down To Him By The Enemies And Opposition Political Agitators, Who Have Been Fruitlessly And Clandestinely Plotting To Make Imo State Ungovernable. The Ultimate Goal Of The Ongoing War Is To Uproot Senator Hope Uzodinma As The Governor Of Imo State. Unfortunately, Speaker Paul Emeziem Nicodemously Made Himself Available To The Enemies Of The State, While Pretending In The Day To Be A Disciple Of Governor Hope Uzodinma.

The Question That Comes To Mind Is ; Why Did Rt Honourable Paul Emeziem Agree To Play The "Judas Iscariot" Script Given To Him By The Opposition? And How Much Was He Bankrolled With?

In The First Place, It Is An Acknowledged Fact That The Deputy Speaker Of The State House Of Assembly, Rt Honourable Amarachi Chyna Iwuanyanwu, Is A Commando Disciple Of Governor Hope Uzodinma, Who Has Brought Legislative Responsibility And Independence Of The Legislature, On One Hand, And Harmonious Relationship Between The Executive And The Legislature, On The Other Hand.. So Any Plot Against The Governor Would Be Dead On Arrival. So The First Leg Of The Plot Was Hatched, Which Was To Remove The Deputy Speaker, Before Decending On Hope Uzodinma. Unfortunately, It Was Poorly, Horribly, Hazardly And Laughably Executed. No Wonder It Failed, Even Though It Was Well Funded And Sponsored.

Let Me Open The Minds Of The Reading Public.

The Concluded Ward, Local Government And State Congress Of The Imo APC Was One Of The Determinant Factors That Exposed Speaker Paul Emeziem's Treachery Against The System That Graciously Produced Him As Speaker Of IMHA. Unarguably, Hope Uzodinma As The Leader Of APC In Imo State, Was Able To Install His Footsoldiers In The Party, Though He Graciously Allowed Some Leaders To Put Their Supporters In Party Posts. Unfortunately, It Was Discovered That Some Party Positions Given To Paul Emeziem To Fill With His Own Supporters Were Clandestinely Filled With Persons Linked To Those Opposed To The System And Establishment In Government Headed By Hope Uzodinma. Naturally, Politics Played Out, And Political CHAFFS WERE SEPARATED FROM THE GRAINS DURING THE CONGRESS. The Resultant Effect Was That Governor Hope Uzodinma Consolidated On His Hold On Party Structure, While Those Opposed To Him Lost Out Completely In The Congresses Held.

Also, Because The Main Opposition Party, The PDP, Was Reportedly Getting Ready For The Battle For The Political Soul Of The State, Funds Were Mapped Out For Onslaughts Against The State Government. Feeling "Embarrassed" That He Lost Out In The Congresses Held In The State, Speaker Paul Emeziem Allegedly Made Himself Available For The PDP, To Be Used To Execute Uncomfortable Clandestine Activities In The State.

Meetings Were Held In Lagos And Abuja, With Paul Emeziem In Attendance, For The Destabilization Of The State, Through The Impeachment Of Governor Hope Uzodinma, But First, With The Removal Of Rt Honourable Amarachi Chyna Iwuanyanwu As Deputy Speaker Of IMHA, To Clear The Way.......... Funds Were Pulled Together, Both By The Imo PDP And Those Who Lost Out In The Imo APC Congress, And Was Handed Over To Rt Honourable Paul Emeziem At Sheraton Hotel Abuja, Totalling $300,000 (Three Hundred Thousand Dollars).

Upon His Return From Abuja And Lagos, Speaker Paul Emeziem Clandestinely Held Meetings With Some Of His Colleagues, Mostly Of The PDP, Who Had Been Briefed Earlier By Their Party Leaders. Thereafter, The Plot To Put Amarachi Chyna Iwuanyanwu Out Of The Way Was Hatched. Before Plenary Was Convened, Announcements Were Sponsored On Radio, TV And In Newspapers That Decision Would Be Taken On The Six Suspended Lawmakers On Tuesday 02/11/2021. When The House Reconvened, The Six Suspended Lawmakers Were Recalled, Which Is A Commendable Feat. However, The Member Representing Orsu State Constituency, Acting Out A Script, Presented A Purported Resolution Claiming That 18 Lawmakers Signed. He Did Not State The Reasons Why The Deputy Speaker Should Be Removed. The So-called Resolution Was Not Put To Test To Verify Its Perceived Authenticity And Legislative Purity.. The Speaker Did Not Put The Purported Resolution To Legislative Vote In The Plenary. In Short, A So Called Resolution That Was Clandestinely Hatched OUTSIDE THE LEGISLATIVE CHAMBER WAS NOT TESTED BY SPEAKER PAUL EMEZIEM ON THE FLOOR OF THE HOUSE.

The Speaker, In A Hurry To Justify The $300,000 He Received For A Hatchet Job, Simply Accepted To Purported Resolution, Thereby Assaulting The LEGISLATIVE PROCESS And Failing In CONSTITUTIONALITY. Obviously, Legislative Due Process Was Recklessly Neglected, Assaulted, Disrespected And Completely Fouled By Speaker Paul Emeziem, Thereby Committing An UNPARLIAMENTARY CONDUCT Offence.

This Therefore Has Rendered The Purported Resolution Against The Deputy Speaker, Rt Honourable Amarachi Chyna Iwuanyanwu, Null And Void. Also, After The Purported Impeachment Of The Deputy Speaker, A Supposed Replacement Was Not Done. This Is Another Indication That The Exercise Was Null And Void. For Sure, Nature Abhors Vacuum, So How Come There Is Perceived "Vacuum" In The Clandestine Plot. This Is Another Evidence That Speaker Paul Emeziem Has Exposed His Legislative Inexperience. Although, The Purported Resolution Impeachment Of Rt Honourable Amarachi Chyna Iwuanyanwu Had Been Foiled, The Public Should Know That The Speaker Provided The Platform, Framework And Lacunae By Which It Was Made Possible, Through His Inexperience And Incompetence In Executing Legislative Deals.

There Are Four More Reasons Why The Purported Impeachment Have Become Null And Void, But As An Authority In Legislative Matters, I Have Decided To Keep Them Close To My Chest, Since War Has Already Been Declared.

Rt Honourable Amarachi Chyna Iwuanyanwu Remain The Deputy Speaker Of The Imo State House Of Assembly, And Will SIT IN HIS OFFICE TOMMOROW (03/11/2021) AS THE DEPUTY SPEAKER..

With His Unparliamentary Conducts In Today's Plenary, It Is Expected That Rt Honourable Paul Emeziem Would Resign Or Be Impeached As The Speaker Of The Imo State House Of Assembly.

Politics Is Local, And It Is Played By Those Who Practically Understand It. To This End, The 2023/24 Political Game In Imo State Has Started And Gone Very Deep For Those Practically Involved In It.


Meanwhile, There Are Agitations Here And There, Because Of The Perceived Interests Of The Players, And Indeed The Governed. There Are Three Political Zones In The State, Namely, Owerri Zone, Okigwe Zone And Orlu Zone.

In The Present Democracy, Okigwe Zone Has Done Four Years, While Orlu Zone Will Be Concluding Its 20 Years By 2024. Owerri Zone Has Done Almost 8 Months.


Naturally, People Are Bound To Feel Pity For Ndi Owerri Zone. But Then, Power Is Not Given On A Platter. It Is Taken. Assuming Power Will Shift To Owerri Zone, What Are The Plans With Regard To Achieving This Target Of Power Shift? Like I Noted Earlier, Power All Over The World Is Taken, And Not Given ................Though Not By Force Of Arms, But By The Superiority Of Ideas, Strategies, Tactics, Grassroots Mobilization, Calculated And Determined Efforts, With The Requisite Financial Back Up.

The Point I Am Making Is That Without Creating The Needed Audience That Will Assimilate The idea Of Power Shift, Those Agitating For It Would Be Wasting Time.

Again, Are There Structures On Ground, Be It Political, Social And Cultural, From Where The Agitators Can Spread The Crusade To The Wider Imo Community?


The Political Operatives Agitating For Power Shift To Owerri Zone, Are They Home Based? Or Are They Operating From Abuja, Lagos Or Even Outside The Country?
Politics Is Local, And It Must Be Played Locally, By Those Involved. You Cannot Shave A Man In His Absence. To Properly Achieve Your Aim, You Must Be Seated On The Barber's Seat, To Observe And Fully Participate In Your Haircut.

Unfortunately, Some Of The Political Gladiators From Owerri Zone Are Not On Ground. They Are Mostly Not Homebased. They Mostly Stay In Abuja To Criticize The Current Administration In The State, And Accuse It Of "Orlunizing" Leadership In The State. Also, The Achike Udenwa And Rochas Okorocha Administration Were Also Accused Of Marginalizing Other Zones In The State, By Concentrating Power In Orlu Zone. But The Truth Is That No One Zone Can Singly Win Political Power (Governorship) In A Democracy, Without Political Alliance/Marriage From The Other Zones.

Nevertheless, Political Leaders From Owerri Zone Have Lately Been Spreading The "Nmanu Akara Di Uto, Onye Raatu Ibe Ya Araatu" Philosophy, Without Actually Thinking Deeply About Its Content Meaning. According To These Political Leaders From Owerri Zone, The Only Thing That Would Sustain The Unity Of Our State, Imo, Is When Men Of Honour And Conscience Across The Three Zones Come Together To Support Owerri Zone To Govern The State, With A View To Correcting The Perceived Political Imbalance By Upholding The Doctrine Of "Equity, Fairness And Justice".

At This Point, I Ask; What Is Equity, Fairness And Justice, In The Context Of Political Activities In Owerri Zone, When Its Leaders Have Refused Equity, Fairness And Justice To Play Out In The Zone? I Am A Very Respectful Person, And Do Not Denigrate Anybody. However, I Make Bold To Reveal That Most Of The Political Agitators Of Power Shift From Orlu Zone To Owerri Zone Are The People Marginalizing Their People In Owerri Zone And Federal Constituency........ Let Me Open The Minds Of The Reading Public.

A Political Operative And Agitator From Aboh Mbaise/Ngor-Okpala Federal Constituency Of Owerri Zone Did Not Allow Power Shift When He Was At The Federal House Of Representatives, And As A Result, Held On To Power For Twelve Solid Years, Thereby Denying Equity, Fairness And Justice To Play Out In His Federal Constituency. The Same Denial Of Equity, Fairness And Justice Played Out In Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Federal Constituency When Another Political Agitator (May His Soul Rest In Peace) Held Power And Refused Its Rotation For 12 Years.


Again, A Political Agitator From Owerri Zone Was The Governorship Candidate Of The Opposition Political Party, PDP, In 2015, Amidst Allegations Of Manipulation And Unfair-Underhand Practice. In 2019, The Same Political Agitator From Owerri Zone Was The Governorship Candidate Of The Same Opposition Political Party, PDP, Amidst Allegations Of Manipulation And Unfair-Underhand Practice. As 2023/24 Draws Closer, The Same Political Agitator Has Positioned Himself To Emerge The Governorship Candidate Of The Same Political Party, PDP.......... I Ask Again, What Is Equity Fairness And Justice Here If The Same Political Agitator Has Continued To Emerge Governorship Candidate Of A Political Party For A Zone That Has Reportedly Continued To Cry Of/For Equity, Fairness And Justice? Conversely, In The Spirit Of "Nmanu Akara Di Uto, Onye Raatu Ibe Ya Araatu Philosophy, Owerri Zone Should Show Maturity And Leadership By Ensuring That Another Of Its Son Emerge The Governorship Candidate Of The PDP Rather Than The Noted Political Agitator, Otherwise, The Zone (Owerri) Would Not Be Taken Seriously In Its Agitation For Power Shift. This Is The Reality On Ground.

At This Point, Let Me State Equivocally That Orlu Zone Has Not In Anyway Been Greedy Or Selfish In The Power Distribution Equation In Imo State. Rather, The Zone Has Always Applied "Rationality Calculus" (Both Integrally And Differentially) Strategy In Its Bid To Take Power, With The Cooperation And Consent Of The Two Other Zones (Okigwe And Owerri). This Is Legitimate Politicking. This Is At Variance To What Happened Within The Short Period That A Known Political Agitator From Owerri Zone Held Power As Governor In The State. Within The Almost Eight Months He Was Governor, We All Witnessed How His Leadership Was "Micro-Zoned" To A Particular Section Of Owerri Zone, To The Economic And Sociopolitical Detriment Of The Entire Zone And State. His Leadership Became "Elitist", Abandoning The Youths Who Campaigned And Worked For Him, While Recognizing Only Children Of The Elites Who Neither Campaigned Nor Voted For Him. This Left-handed Style Of Leadership Continued Until Supreme Court Aborted That Administration In January 2020.


The Point I Am Responsibly Making Is That Zoning Breeds Mediocrity And Clannishness When Allowed To Take Root In A Given System. Those Clamouring Or Agitating For Zoning Are Primarily Political Hawks And Buccaneers With Insatiable Appetite For Greed, Clannishness And "Self-centeredness". I Stand To Be Corrected.

There Is A Governor In The State, And He Is Constitutionally Empowered To Go For Another Term Come 2023/24. Let Us Therefore Not Allow Sentiments And Agitations For Power Shift To Blindfold Us Of This Very Fact.

If Imo State Must Move Forward, Politically, Economically And Socially, There Is Therefore The Need To Begin Aggressive, Comprehensive And Very Enriching Appraisals On How To Demonstrate Transparent And Accountable Leadership In Governance For The People Of The State, In Truth And In Spirit. Uzodimma's Poor Reward System: A Tacit Call For Political Sabotage, End To APC Reign In Imo.

OPINION

Political patronage is very essential in a participatory democracy. Infact, the reward system is a must in politics.

Throughout the world in democracies: support, loyalty and allegiance are rewarded! And any State Governor, Senator , Federal Reps member, State legislator , LGA Chairman, etc, that pays lips service or no attention to this, does so at his own peril. Even within the corporate sharks, a staff whose promotion is unduly delayed or allowances denied through boardroom politics, poses a big threat to that organization. At least, I have briefly worked in the bank, UBA.

As a matter of fact , poor reward system leads to loosing some critical stakeholders and members of a state governor's cabinet because: `` *Loyalty is serviceable*.``

And mind you, 'anaghi eme loyalty with empty stomach (Translation)'.

Those who feel sidelined or relegated to the background after your electoral victory , especially, if they had played prominent role towards your emergence also deserve to be practically empowered, or even compensated which should be commensurate with the level of their commitments, dedication, supports and sacrifices including the risks they waded through just to support your governorship project or related political ambition.

Unfortunately, Nigerian politics is quite dramatic and full of deceits as people easily forget the past and renege on their promises or political pact with others.

The above , however, laid the foundation for this sincere opinion and intrepid analysis as the disturbing news about Governor Hope Uzodimma's alleged one -man - show style of governance in his much touted Shared Prosperity Administration, clandestinely makes the stakeholders and party stalwarts to maintain some distance from him.

People are silently complaining yet, nobody wants to own up! The rich also cry, including presumed close political allies of His Excellency !

I am true to my conscience and write as the spirit leads me since nobody can compel me to write anything for, or against the government. As a certified online Publisher, I commend governments and also condemn same where necessary.

I love this governor, his sincerity of purpose in reconstructing , rehabilitating, and recovering Imo State for ndi Imo. I guess most true patriots are also on the same page with me?

Funny enough, his political disposition nay body language is not showing that he appreciates such support, solidarity and loyalty.

The poor reward system of this present government under Sen. Hope Uzodimma is almost hitting the bolling point.

And I sincerely ask: Is it not about time he genuinely started empowering his foot soldiers and avowed loyalists?

This wrong impression and lingering mumuring in the Imo political space that Onwa is running a one man show poses a big danger to his re-election bid, if at all he had such plans.


His Excellency, do not be carried away by the euphoria of power. Your party men and women are not happy, they are complaining!

Kindly open the flow as to put some smiles on the faces of the people who had worked so tirelessly to bring this government into existence! After all, a labourer deserves of his wages.

A number of them put their lives in jeopardy to demonstrate their unalloyed loyalty and unflinching support. Do not allow their political enemies to laugh at them in derison.

Some of them, not all, may not have opened up because of fear, or better still, as they are merely keeping hope alive. I hope these patient dogs will not die in penury.


What about those who joined the APC from other political parties; PDP, APGA, etc?

Can they confidently say in their closest that they didn't regret that singular decision or persuasion in joining the ruling APC inorder to assist you move Imo State forward ?

They are the leaders, critical stakeholders, businessmen, contractors and even committed party faithful (s) and low- income supporters who may not have anyone to make case for them! What about the diasporans?
Have you given them any audience as their state governor ? Or you think distance is a barrier ?

More importantly, kindly consider the unemployed and yet to be empowered dedicated party faithful of the APC and possibly improve their lots, the harsh economy may have compelled them to perpetually keep quiet for now, but not during the elections. This is where I give Owelle Rochas Okorocha some credit !

As an independent publisher, I covered the Party's state Congress in Owerri and didn't ask anyone to pay me. It provided me an ample opportunity to sample opinions and interview some state delegates, especially, the middle class who came from their various communities to the capital city, Owerrri, for the sake of the Congress and in anticipation for transport fare back home .

With mixed reactions from their responses, I saw an expression of doldrums and of depression, yet, strong determination to keep supporting their party, the APC, which was rather too friendly under Owelle Rochas Okorocha as the state governor. `` I am not speaking from a guess work, I am speaking from statistics.``

Alot of these delegates, from ward to LGA levels, have toiled for the party as much as any other person and perhaps more than most people who joined the party recently but are now at the front row as lucky beneficiaries.

If this APC Shared Prosperity Mantra of your government must appeal to ndi Imo, the party must remain true to its progressive democratic creed of truly sharing prosperity rather than poverty as the current situation in the state is proving to the political pundits , critics and other conservatives. Nevertheless, it is not too late to change the narrative for the better and be commended in this regard.

Some stakeholders who shared ideas with me have complained about the government's loss of cohesion and direction despite holding very tenaciously power and in good books of the Presidency.


To this end, if things didn't change for the better and expectedly soon, the coming weeks and months shall spring many surprises as a new wave of defection from the ruling party to the main opposition party, PDP, especially, as they used their just concluded national convention in Abuja to prove a point that the PDP is organised and prepared to give Nigerians a rather better alternative in governance .

The poser remains :
Can Nigerians trust PDP again after 16 wasteful years ?

May the 5th Force that shall bring about the long awaited new Nigeria of our collective dreams come forth. Amen !

History was made in Nigeria yesterday, Saturday, October 30th , 2021, as a 25 year old young Prince Kadade Sulaiman emerged National Youth leader of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in the just concluded national convention of the opposition party at the Eagles Square Venue of the political exercise in Nigeria.
Suleiman, who hails from Kaduna State, NorthWest geopolitical zone of Nigeria, emerged through consensus on Saturday during the just concluded National Convention of the party in Abuja.

The convention, which was concluded on Sunday morning, had a former Senate President, Iyorchia Ayu elected as the national chairman of the party.

While Umar Damagum emerged Deputy National Chairman (North), Taofeek Arapaja was elected Deputy National Chairman (South)

The youngest National Youth Leader in the history of political parties in Nigeria.

25 years old Prince Kadade sulaiman yesterday , emerged National Youth leader of the People's Democratic Party, PDP, in the just concluded national convention of the party in Abuja.

An APC Chieftian and business man, Evang. Michael Ikoku , Initiator and Founder of Hopism , a socio- political mass movement formed to support the Shared Prosperity Administration under Governor Hope Uzodimma , has thrown caution to the wind as he rejoined his long time political ally and friend , Sen. Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu , in the Imo State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party .

4thestatereporters gathered from a reliable source that his recent political defection may not be unconnected to his not being carried along in the scheme of things.

A government source earlier informed this newspaper that with the look of things, the Nkwerre born boardroom business Strategist and Tourism Expert , Michael Ikoku , was no longer in tune with the administration of Sen. Hope Uzodimma who is seen by his political allies and even the appointees as running a one - man- show in the state, and has remained too diffcult to be reached.

The source who spoke strictly on condition of anonymity, maintained that the CEO of All Seasons Hotels and 'My Boss Radio' , was no longer being practically involved in critical decisions of the state government and party leadership despite his stakes and contributions toward the emergence of the 3R Government that came into being on January 15th, 2020, through the Supreme Court controversial Judgement.

He was today, spotted out at the Eagles Square Venue of the PDP National Convention in Abuja on a colorful regale of the Imo State contingents|delegates of the People's Democratic Party (PDP).

The coming weeks and months shall be very interesting as other now aggrieved members of the APC may start opening up on a number of issues bothering on governance of Imo State under Sen. Hope Uzodimma.

Exactly one week today , the All Progressives Congress , APC, across the country, held its State Congress to elect new executives to steer the ship of the party in the next three years through a consensus arrangement.

In Imo State, the exercise was held in an atmosphere described by Njoku MacDonald Obinna, an independent eye witness reporter, as ; `` seamless and peaceful .``

In a heartwarming victory, immediate past Chairman of Imo State Environmental Transformation Commission (ENTRACO), Hon. Sir. MacDonald Ebere, PhD, emerged the new State Party Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress in the state amid resounding applause from party faithful, critical leaders , strategic stakeholders, and numerous supporters of the broom revolution party who converged at the Real Admiral Ndubuisi Kanu venue of the watershed political exercise.

Imo State Governor, Sen. Hope Uzodimma, led other party stalwarts , political leaders and personalities at the event under the supervision of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and Electoral Committee members appointed by the party's National Caretaker Extraordinary Committee of the APC in Abuja.


A former Governor of Imo State under the platform of People's Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Ikedi Ohakim, who later defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, was spotted by 4th Estate Reporters as he joined the colorful entourage of Sen. Hope Uzodimma to the venue of the State Congress.

Other political leaders spotted out at the event included, but not limited to; His Excellency, Chief Ebere Udeagu, a former Deputy Governor of Imo State under the People's Democratic Party (PDP), between 1999-2007, Amb. Greg Ozuomba Mbadiwe (MFR), Sen. Frank Ibezim representing Okigwe North Senatorial District, Hon. Deacon Chike Okafor representing Ehime Mbano/Ihittee Uboma/Obowo Federal Constituency, Hon. Miriam Onuoha representing Isiala Mbano/Okigwe /Onuimo Federal Constituency, High Chief Canice Moore, Prince Eze Ugochukwu (Ochiwar), Nze Tex Ukonu, Nze Chinasa Nwaneri (Special Duties), serving commissioners , political appointees and other top government functionaries who made the state delegates' list from their various LGAs.


However, with a paradigm shift in party leadership as Chief Marcelinious Nlemigbo led State Executives was dissolved through a motion raised by Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Paul Emeziem, and seconded by his Deputy, Rt.Hon. Amara Chyna Iwuanyanwu, the newly elected party leadership under Hon. Sir. Macdonlad Ebere , PhD , was presented to ndi Imo and the APC faithful.

With his emergence as Chairman of the Imo All Progressives Congress, APC, Governor Hope Uzodimma has completely changed the political leadership narrative in the state as dynamism, vibrancy, and fresh ideas are infused into the State Party Excos under the watch of a rather pragmatic, proactive and sound mind as the State Party Chairman, MacDonald Ebere, PhD .


Following the above, on Thursday, October 21, 2021, the Electoral Committee Chairman of the APC State Congress; member representating Nwangele Constituency and Deputy Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Amara Chyna Iwuanyanwu, played host to the newly elected State Party Chairman, Hon. Sir. Macdonlad Ebere PhD, at his Owerri Civic Centre amid pomp and pagentry .



Obviously elated State Party Chairman, MacDonald Ebere PhD, accompanied to the evening dinner by his amiable wife, Lady Chioma Ebere, expressed deep appreciation to Governor Hope Uzodimma as well as party leaders who played different strategic roles in his nomination and recommendation for the topmost state party job.


During his remarks , the APC State Chairman stated: `` By the special grace of God and without being guilty of sounding immodest, I have the capacity, I have the sagacity, I have the temerity and experience to manage this great party. I am therefore, appealing to you to join hands with me to make the party a movement so that we can drive its agenda and move it forward.``

He continued: `` I have a listening ear, I am accessible , I am also open to corrections, good counsel and tested ideas that will bring about the needed social reengineering of the APC in Imo State. Iam the state chairman for everybody .``

Following a request which was contained in a letter submitted to the Nigerian Senate by President Muhammadu Buhari dated Friday , July 9th 2021, requesting for the confirmation of Rt. Hon. Fred Amaechi Nwoha , Speaker of the 6th Imo State House of Assembly , as the commissioner representing South -East geopolitical zone in the National Assembly Service Commission, a cheering news which was received by Imo people , his friends and political associates with expressed commendations given the pedigree of the formal legislator in the political discuss of Imo State .

Barley 3 months of patiently waiting to be screened, the Senate on Wednesday , October 13th, 2021, finally confirmed Rt. Hon. Ironically , while a plethora of congratulatory messages and heartwarming felicitations had earlier erupted the social space both online and in the main stream media, as 4th Estate Reporters succinctly captured the storyline of his nomination by President Muhammadu Buhari , alot of people erroneously thought that singular prouncement of his nomination was an automatic ticket for confirmation without understanding the rigorous processes one must be subjected to, even with prayers for the job to have a leeway.
