YES AND VERY SIMPLE:

l will list three components:
(1)THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR(TPS) : Located and integral with electronic throttle body/actuator next to air cleaner and maf senor on the engine.

(2)WIRING : Five wires from TPS passed through harness to the PCM(brain box)

(3)POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE(PCM) The CPU that processes the information of the angle of the throttle actuator at idle and as you press your accelerator pedal which comes through the wires from TPS.


APPROACH.
Tell your mechanic to follow the steps below, a sensible one.

FIRSTLY:
(a) Scan the engine and erase P2122.

(b) Rescan immediately without exit the scanner

(c) If P2122 didn't erase, the problem is hard fault in the processor, then replace the PCM and reprogramme.


SECONDLY:
If P2122 erased and reappeared during rescanning, Tell your mechanic " a sensible one" I repeat.

WITH PRECAUTIONS:
(a) Disconnect battery terminal.

(b) Disconnect TPS wiring socket.

(c) Disconnect PCM wiring socket.

(d) With the use of multi metre/AVO metre only, No any other measuring tool.

(e) Check for continuity/open/short circuit in the five wires between the TPS and PCM each separately one after the other.

(f) If there were any open/short, rectify.

(g) If no open/ short circuit, replace the electronic throttle body.


NOTE SIR:
I don't do repair here, I only do repairs in my workshop and my WhatsApp group.

Nevertheless, I had to do this one, because I don't want ford image to be destroyed as most people assumed. Nothing is wrong with ford, it's very simple to repair. The problem is not ford but mechanics.
