timecapsule:
This is why KANU called this nation a ZOO!!!
The youths that they said are future generation of this Nation are no where to be found in the ruling of the said Nation they are the one still ruling.
(OUR GRATE GRAND FATHERS IN GOVERNMENT) when are the future of the youth of this nation starting?

In the New Nigeria Vanguard, we have passionate youths of integrity and discipline taking on the task of spearheading good governance in this nation.

What We Are Not
1. Not a greedy set of young people seeking for pecuniary gratifications from the Government.
2. Not a group of people to be hijacked by politicians to expand their political base, prowess, network and selfish ambitions that's not for the common good of Nigeria.
3. Not a group of people seeking for a share of the national cake along selfish, unpatriotic lines and divides.
4. Not a cult that our affairs are marked with intimidation, secrecy, blackmail, militancy and violence.
5. Not a group of people that will heat up the polity with indiscriminate protests, road blocks, distortion of economic progress and political stability.
Politics / Who Cares?? by NNVanguard(m): 9:42am On Mar 02, 2017
We live in Africa the land of plenty, Yet our sons die of abject poverty.
A Land blessed with many good riches has now been raped by political witches
Who cares?

We promised the poor masses education but they die of ignorance and starvation. We allocate money to build new schools
But the funds end up for buying side stools
Who cares?

The New Nigeria Vanguard started this revolution, and I know it was sparked by a revelation.
Where is the proceed from our crude oil?
Why must we sit all day in pain and toil?
Who cares?

Ghana,Zimbabwe, Angola, Burundi, Nigeria
Zambia, Niger, Mali, Togo, Rwanda, Somalia
What has happened to this our black race?
Why have we decided to live in this disgrace?
Who cares?

We train doctors, but label them incompetent, we elect our senators who are very impenitent. Yesterday we hoped for tomorrow, all in vain. We're all stealing and cheating, what's our gain?
Who cares?

We heard of girls abducted by some evil men, and that they've been infused with their semen. We wiped our tears with the cloth of nonchalance, yet we want to make "Good people" our Parlance?
Who cares?

Where are the answers To our age long prayers?
Or have we become just ordinary chicken - layers?
Who cackle on an egg, but have no power to birth?
What we have conceived have all been put to death
Who cares?

We budget every year for power, yet live in darkness
The colour of our streets are painted in blackness. Well it doesn't matter, Aso rock is well lit at Night.
So whatever happens, you can cry with all your might,
Who cares?

We enjoyed the Oil boom, but forgot it will lead to doom. The treasury is now empty. It was neatly swept with a broom Hahahaha. After the reggae we're now playing the blues.
Our leaders are now afraid, everyone is walking In twos
Who cares?

ehhen I no talk am? Who is right and who is wrong? I don't know! It has begun to crumble already. Go to IPOB and see how things are organised, it is not about some over zealous members making some outrageous comments, IPOB is a well oiled machine. Many politicians have tried to highjack it but failed. I lost my Samsung galaxy s7 in an IPOB. The next meeting it was announced two weeks later it was announced that someone lost his phone and must come foward and claim it. That is how I got it back. Do yoh think that if it were thks your so called NNV I would have gotten back my phone? For Wusai?

Sorry bro, whom you are referring to his mention has no authority to speak unbehalf of NNV. The best of Young people Nigeria have ever produced in all fields of life sandwiched with integrity and professionalism is who makes up NNV. You could be one of us.

what is NNV ..is it a movement?..do they have a website or on any of the social network?.I have never heard of it.

We are called the New Nigeria Vanguard. We are a budding political movement that is snowballing into a political party before 2019.

Our Vision Statement: Securing a peaceful, united, progressive, corruption-free Nigeria for now and posterity.

Our Mission Statement: New Nigeria Vanguard is committed to keeping our nation corruption free and expanding innovative business opportunities for Nigerians. We are anchored on good policies that encourage food for all, security of lives and properties, accountability, transparency, merit, equity and justice! Together we shall make a new Nigeria.

We are building a new nigeria where merit comes first before ethno religious affiliation.

a Nigeria where the Hausa man will be a brother to the Yoruba man and the Igbo man will see the Hausa man as a blood brother.

A Nigeria where there will be equity, a sense of belonging and justice for all.

A Nigeria where the children of political office holders will attend our Public Schools and institutions of higher learning.

A Nigeria where the minimun salary is enough to take the earner home.

A Nigeria where the clamour for secession will be gone.

A restructured Nigeria where regions will have more power than the centre.

A Nigeria where the salaries of political office holders is just and fair in comparison to other peers in the world.

A Nigeria where agriculture will be declared a state of emergency

A Nigeria where anyone from 1960 and above will be seen as elders and not to be in the forefront of political struggle.

A Nigeria where science and technology remains the driving force for industrial revolution.

The illiterates controlling leadership post in this country surpass those with sense of reasoning..

They failed because they carried the burden all alone. There was no strong network of like minds. This is one of the lessons we learnt from history of political activism.

This, we have come to correct.

I believe the time to begin to make our drive and vigour count is now! We have stayed long enough on this mountain of avoidable depravity, on which we have been chained by wanton actions and inactions of our past leaders and the bulk of the present one.

They just don't care and we that are mostly affected by their heartlessly greedy self aggrandizement, the Youths will rather be sponsoring petitions to NBC to ban a commercial venture on TV already rated 18 by its producers instead of utilising same energy to insist that at least one of the already exposed looters be prosecuted if at least as a kind of deterent to intending looters.

I think its time we go from making empty noises on platforms like this and other social media. The time for action is now!!!

If none of you is ready to sacrifice religious differences before marriage, how can you cope with it after marriage.

Let you both end this relationship. Religion is an important consideration in marriage else you may hit the rocks.

When getting safety drillings at ppmc Abaji yesterday, I was told that fire outbreak is first fought by preventing it and when the fire bypasses that preventive measure, next thing to do is to project the nozzle of the extinguisher towards the BASE and not the TOP, of wherever the fire might have broken out from. The problem starts when you don't know the point of outbreak.

Good to know we know our problems, good to know we know the point of outbreak from tribalism, religious fanaticism to the host of others. Next is to use our extinguisher, our collective diverse knowledge within the NNV house to attack the base of these problems. I believe NNV can do it, I see NNV doing it, I see caring Nigerians doing it.

Restoring the hope of our hopelessness in this quagmire of bad leadership is a task we are fully set to achieve. Join us, tell your friends about NNV and we will come the history of Nigeria for good.

you are right once again. The last general elections thought me a lesson i would like to forget.

I agree that the vission and mission of the nigeria youth should speak the same language and practice same religion which is of course 'using today to make tomorow much more better' i know it wont be easy.

But never say never or never say die

If we can put away self centredness, ethnic chauvinism, religious fanaticism, we shall build a New Nigeria.

You are making alot of sense and there is meaning to your views, but the problem with the youths of this country is lack of guts.

Yahaya bello of kogi state is a youth, he was given an opportunity but he blew it up. Go to kogi and see the mess he has made out of that state.

Another issue is that of religion. I believe in God, i worship Him and i practice my religion perfectly. However from sociological and psycholigical poin view, i cannot deny the fact that religion is hindering our progress as a nation in general.

Until nigeria youths are released from the claws of imperialism and neocolonialism, lets kiss this hope good bye

No doubt your words are full of realism but when there is a ray of hope, don't you agree that it's nice to fan the embers of unity, progress and good leadership across our ethnicity and religious divides.

All we want is a New Nigeria clearly stated in our vision which you can't see from our signature. Nothing less!

Ask if the Nigerian youths have what it takes to rule this nation and one will be tempted to say “No”.
But for a few number of young, intelligent, disciplined and incorruptible Nigerians we have met in a couple of months, we would have concluded there is no hope for Nigeria anywhere.

In the defense of our presupposition, we can take a hint from the social media and the most discussed topics. The social media being a powerful information tool is mostly engaged by the young people (Ages 18 – 35, and maybe 36 – 45).

What then is our focus? What are the categories of interests?
1) Entertainment, Celebrity Gist, Sports, Bets, Fashion etc
2) Only a negligible fraction of the young Nigerians are really concerned about this nation’s wellbeing and intend to do something about it.
3) Many discuss partisan politics (supporting the old thieves); engage in tribal fights, religion bigotry etc
4) Many of those who will claim to be interested in the governance cum development of this nation are only about criticizing, blaming and insulting the current leadership.
Now we ask, with the categories of young Nigerians stated above do we think this nation has hope?
It can be mostly disturbing to me that many of those who ought to stand up and fight (with wisdom) for their rights continue to air their supports for the supposed corrupt and myopic leaders
We have resulted into fighting online for those who know nothing or care less about us.

Many of us live a life of laziness, dubiousness and complain.
A picture stormed the internet some days ago showing the likes of Ojukwu, Obasanjo, Soyinka etc sipping and laughing together several years ago.
These men were in charge in their prime and whatever they did (whether well or badly) is resultant of our current predicament.

We still feel comfortable with our great-grandfathers driving us while we take the comfort zone spot on the back seat.

Oh Young Nigerians! When will you wake up?
Those oldies will never leave until we make the move.
We own the social media already – let us use it to our advantage.
*We hope this drives us; it has already begun with some of us*
