The constitution did not prescribe timeline in which a Vice President or Deputy Governor can act in the stead of their principals upon absence due to medical or other reasons.

An example is the case of former Taraba state Governor Dambaba Suntai who was literally incapacitated in October 2012 due to accident, was flown abroad for treatment, and thus unable to perform his function in office.

His then Deputy Garba Umar held sway in acting capacity till the end of the Governor's tenure in 2015.

Having handed to Osinbanjo to act, President Buhari now has the luxury of taking care of his health till he is fit enough till 2019.

You see my concern with this charade? It lacks vision, mission and goal! Sounds more like a Lagos edition of Calabar Christmas Carnival. There is no proper communication, no sensitization, lack of zeal, anonymous interest from unknown groups; it just doesn't seem right.

By now there should have been a clear road-map, renown groups and people would be enlisted (not just 2phase and some internet/social-media solidarity tweets), we still don't know how many days the carnival protest would be, we are just hearing the uniform is something green. I am sure we will be getting more tweets hours to the protest on which routes to follow, were to go etc.

I don't think 2phase even has the capacity to lead a nationwide protest! Yes, the reason for protest could be justified, but yet again, if there is no clear-cut objective/plan, you are presenting yourself as a likely shooting practice for the police.

I wont be surprised the likes of Fayose and FFK will be there to hijack the rally from 2phase. Why? 2phase lacks the charisma to lead a nationwide protest.

We need to demand for a responsible govt; we the youths need to take this country out from the hands of these present class of people. We should be discussing about forming a megaparty for the youths, set an age bracket in our party constitution and team up to take back our country before these old men sabotage our future.

What abt , we are the main problem? Interbank @ 306, blackvmarket aka bureau de change 498. Only in Nigeria. No matter if we have trillions, people in Nigeria don't care how things affect the naira or economy badly, as long as they make money through that backward means

There has always been a great differential limit between interbank rates and black market since time immemorial but it has never widened to this level. Who is to blame? This government. Am giving you just two reasons

1. Inability to make good forex policies to reflect demand and supply of the foreign market.

2. Use of DSS in harassing bureau de change operators. This is not 1984 where for DSS is used to bring about price stability. You can see this government lacks the technical economic team to solve this problem, it's not just the citizens.

If we want N1 to $1.....we need a stable source of dollars. And exporting raw materials is not a stable source of dollars....which is why govt has to really walk the talk re diversification.

Our problem centres on our primary production outputs which commands less price in the world market. If we can extend our production frontiers to processing and tertiary production, we will earn more revenue.

But our diversification of the economy have been rolling around crude oil.

Is this worth celebrating?
