Boss, I have followed your overwhelming bias for Peugeot a.k.a the Lion King � for about 7years now. At this point I have ready to ditch my Toyota Camry 2004 alias Big for Nothing� for an intercourse with one of these Lions. My preference is the 406. However, I am not a manual transmission person. Secondly, I am not sure I can afford a foreign used. So I am looking at a Nigerian used Lion with an automatic transmission. Your advice and guidance will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

1) look closely the chart you posted is not in degree Celsius °C , it is in degrees Fahrenheit °F ,100 °F degrees Fahrenheit is equivalent to +38 °c degree Celsius simple , check other charts in this trend with Celsius and Fahrenheit to compare ,and post it for me my phone has issues to upload pictures

2) most of them don't believe in God, they mostly believe in science and science says use your car manufacturer oil chart ,and the chart say 20w lowest range is -7 and 9ja has +22 minimum temp , u see the distance , the reasons for lower viscosity oil is because 90% of engine wear is at startup , infact we don't have cold start in 9ja

3)you may use sj 5w30 at +38 degree or lower not higher temp , using 5w30 at +45 may work but will increase wear and tear in your engine , I didn't know if newer oils can withstand higher temp but sj 5w30 can not according to the chart

Since it's in Ladipo u can look for a Toks of the same car, pop the bonnet and trace all the wiring.

Start with the engine fuse box and bsi and replace any fuse bridged with copper wire.

Doing this is going to expose all the problems the previous owner refused to solve but if you can get the electrical system back to factory you'd enjoy the car for years ( I had a 307 12 straight years, spent far less on fuel and mechanics than my corolla counterparts, only gave it out a few months back because someone I gave it to for a few months messed it up in the name of repairing).

BSI kit costs about that I changed mine for 60k though before giving out the car.

When electrical issues are fixed, buy a Diagbox scanner & learn how to use it and NEVER let any rewire bypass anything.

If anything goes bad replace it.

He then told me that the BSI can not be changed alone, that I need to change the brain box, BSI and key together, and that it will cost me a total of N80k.

Is this really true.

I wish I saw your message before I opted to buy a 407. Luckily for me, I got the E10 engine with a manual transmission. I have a 307 so I wanted to buy something better, that's why I went for the 407.

Infact, the 407 I bought has some issues. I just bought it last week. The headlight doesn't go off and it kills the battery, the car display area is blank. My Rewire guy is currently battling with solving it. He blamed my Mechanic for certifying the car good for purchase because I went there with my Mechanic.

Is there a way you can help? Or can you recommend an Expert Rewire to help solve it.

I am really worried.

Waste of performance brakes. This car would hardly hit 210kmph. Save it for a car that actually needs it

Handling I will very much disagree, the steering of 407 is heavier and the car base is longer and the turning isn't efficient compared to all other Peugeot, the car dsnt corner well compared to 406, iv already said looks , but efficiently it's not better than 406, dnt worry just go to mechanics and do a survey ul knw why the car is crap, if u have a toks enjoy it small before it starts misbehaving ,even your mechanic will abandon u
