My bro told me he usually avoid clicking on the nairaland link each time he searches google.... It's starting to look like he was right...imagine someone in UK visiting this thread about 607 for the first time, instead of seeing intellectual and professional contributions, look at the crap Nigerian youths are spewing out. yungboss: These days you hardly find a thread in cartalk that doesn't deteriorate or dematerialize from the subject. It basically always ends in name-calling, highly offensive criticism or repulsive inputs. Though we are all faceless, but as people who love/like the cars we drive, we should also learn the habits of spreading positivity and respect, whether we think Peugeot is reliable or not or the Op sought knowledge from the streets or online, the most important thing is that the project he initiated has ended in his favour. Dear bigx, I remember participating in voting in that thread, that was just before cartalk was created right? |

RZArecta: are the auto tyranny’s problematic or do people just prefer manual (especially 2007-2010 407) Manual tranny cheaper to maintain, less problematic, more effective, more efficient and more fuel economical..IMO Auto tranny is problematic to users who cut corners when it's time to replace the automatic transmission fluid... The original is expensive so they usually end up putting fake fluid and the pojo will show them fire!!! |
Car Talk › Re: Car AC Works Well Only In The Morning And Evening But Struggles In Hot Afternoon by NobleEngineer(m): 2:41pm On Jun 02, 2020 |
Pls how did you later solve this AC issue. Thanks for the Tec junior tweak. rhymz: Hi Nairaland Auto experts, please I will like to know what the problem is before changing anything with my car. I use a Corolla sport 05, I have been struggling with the AC for a while now. I notice that the AC works excellently well in the evening when there is no sun and early in the morning but struggles to maintain a cool temperature especially for people at the back.
I have tried recharging but that has not solved the problem. If increase the AC to the highest in hot afternoons it just blows air . Also, I also noticed that it slightly gets better when the car is moving than when it is idle in traffic.
I took the car to an AC technician who poured water on the condenser and then asked us to rev the car up, after which I noticed a significant improvement, then he concludes that the problem is the compressor, that it was suffering from low pressure, that we need to change it and it will cost us 28k.
However, I want to get a second opinion as I suspect the condenser and possibly a blockage. I don't know if anyone has experienced this kind of problem before, I would appreciate any technical advise or recommendation or even an AC tech guy that knows what he is doing.
Thank you |

Pictures seen, so basically you tightened that screw on the carburettor and loosened the screw under the tank rhymz: I am having problem uploading the pictures using my phone....I will do that tomorrow from laptop.
I have also adjusted my sumec 2500 with total capacity of 2200W. I am currently using it as I write cos we have not had light for 2 days straight and I need to keep my food in the freezer fresh....So after adjusting the screw that air fuel mixture, I am currently testing it with 3 litres of fuel, it has been on 8pm, it's almost 12am now and still running.... Only carrying two ceiling fan, one standing fan, 1 refrigerator and one laptop.... It will be interesting to see how this sumec measures up with the TEC junior . |

Wow good development... Pls don't forget to post pictures as in the bolded. rhymz: I have finally adjusted my TEC Junior and my first test today since Yestarday that my Brother and I did the tweaking after watching a couple of videos.
First we screwed in the screw that is responsible for the flow of air fuel mixture Then there was another screw that controls the governor...also screwed in until we were able to get a balance the two screws and output.
Note if you dont adjust it well, you Gen will be vibrating....not a good indication.
Also note, the sound reduced slightly but nothing significantly different from the follow come noise ...typical small Gen problem.
So I decided to add two litres of Fuel at around 8:25pm, the Gen just went off some few minutes ago, 2:29am to be precise.
That's approximately 6 hrs for 2litr of fuel with two Ceiling fans, one rechargeable standing fan, my laptop and about 5 charging phones.....that's all.
I will upload pictures of the screw postions tomorrow |

suco87: High voltage make the TV guard on red. High voltage/firing powerr means more fuel consumption your generator will surely vibrate. when you want to DIY u are not only to adjust the screw under the tank alone. u have to adjust the firing screw on the caburator too. Look at it very well there is connection between the screw under the tank and the firing screw on carburator. if both are not adjusted right to align your gen will surely vibrate. Thanks. Yes I've seen both screws, am I supposed to loosen both screws? or loosen one and tighten the other? because when I loosened both screws, the Gen speed and sound dropped and my tv guide turn green...but the only issue is with the noticeable increase in Gen body vibration. |

I was surprised yesterday when I got home with my new tec junior and noise was loud with high voltage, I thought something was wrong and then began to toy around with the screws. unex50: Another thing, tampering with those screws on the carburetor mightvproduce unexpected results, from low voltage, misfiring, high voltage, current fluctuation to spoiling the coil in matter of months.... I will advise that you leave the Gen the way it came.... My TEC junior last me for 2h+ for a litre of fuel .... I know the sound can be loud though and the voltage seem kind of high ....your best bet is to let a qualified technician look at it if it bothers you that much.... But no too tamper with am. |

I bought a Tec junior Gen yesterday and on starting the Gen I noticed the Gen sound was high, also my TV-guard was on red, meaning high voltage. So I loosened the screw underneath the tank, the voltage dropped, the noise also reduced...but I noticed immediately that the Gen is vibrating more... Pls is this vibration safe for my Gen

Technology Market › Re: Professor On Any Type Of Generator. by NobleEngineer(m): 6:51pm On May 24, 2020 |
rhymz: My Tec Junior for instance last at exactly what is stated in the Datasheet....
Yesterday for instance, I added two litres and only turned on 3 fans, and my laptop only.....It lasted for 4hrs55min
This tallies with the specification on the data sheet for Tec Junior. 8.5L Full Tank with Full Load runs for 10hrs 30min = per litre 2hrs13min 8.5L Full Tank with half Load runs for 18hrs54min = per litre 1hr14min
My experience, their specifications are exactly what it is.
I highlu doubt that a 2.2kva out Gen can give you 4hrs on 2litres, lai lai....I have a Summec of thesame power rating, if that was the case, I wont bother buying a small TEC junior. Go to Jumia and look at the full capacity run time for 2.5KVA Generator of other brands, it is usually 9hrs.
Truth is....If you wont be needing to power high output equipment like Pumping machine, iron, microwave and the likes, if all you want is just to power your lights and fans and TVs and Laptops.....my brother go for a small Gen with small tank and high fuel Efficiency.....
My Sumec 2.5KVA is still there but I will only put it on at extreme situations when Nepa does not give us light at all for several days and I have foodstuff in the refrigerator that need some icing and freezing....but daily use...my brother, get a small Gen..... Based on this your review, I may be buying the Tec junior tomoro, I just want to power my 80W TV, 1 ceiling fan, 3 energy saver bulbs and charge phones. That's all. You think I should go ahead with the purchase? |
