Major types include earthenware, stoneware and porcelain. The place where such wares are made by a potter is also called a pottery.
This ancient art dates back hundreds of years. These women are preserving what is both art and craft using the same techniques that their ancestors used several hundred years ago, while making a sustainable source of income from it.

It was another beautiful morning, I heard there was a planned protest. so I picked up my phone and Mobile gimbal @zhiyun_tech @zhiyun_gimbal (smooth 4)

And went out to document the protest against the wish of my family members. upon getting to the protest ground, I was greeted by heavy military presence. I was scared. Then acted like I was just passing by. I summoned courage and went on to get some footages to create this short documentary.
I must commend the Oyo state government @seyi_amakinde @theseunfakorede @ibadanpride they ensured that protests remained peaceful and no protester was harassed or harmed by the armed forces during the protest. more so, a police officer smiled at me and asked "are you going to post it" I quickly prepared my self for an attack of some sort. Then I heard fellow protesters yelling "mummy we love you " at her. That happens only when the said officer has proven to be a nice person. Then I became relaxed and said yes ma. she smiled and gave me a thumbs up.

A while back, at the beginning of the year (2021) i and a few friends decide to visit the famous Obudu cattle ranch also known as Obudu mountain resort. This is by far the most beautiful place i have ever been to, the landscape there is so amazing! the view from the mountain top is nothing like i had ever seen. Words cannot explain just how beautiful this place is. Little wonder why Obudu mountain resort won the award for the best resort in Nigeria in past years. This resort is located in Cross river state (south south part of Nigeria) The capital of cross river state is Calabar and the resort is located in a community known as Obudu. There are lots of attractions at this resort and here is a list of them and the prices per person

These are the available attractions and how much the resort charges, although from my visit there, there isn't any known existing structure to ensure that this payment is made, and when we made the payment, there wasn't any receipt issued. So we found ourselves having to pay again at each point, the best approach would be to first talk to the locals there who are always excited to welcome visitors and help them around. For a little tip, they will go all out to ensure you enjoy your stay.
The road up the mountain is quite steep and so if you are driving there, be sure to go with a car that is in proper shape. Or you have the option of parking at the bottom of the mountain and mounting one of the many motorcycles that ferry people up and down the mountain. I would advice to do everything in your power to get your car up the mountain, because it will make your visits to the different attractions easier and more comfortable.

In this video, i and a few friends decided to visit osun state for the first time on tour. Though i reside in Ibadan Oyo state, i had never been to the famous osogbo town in Osun.
Our destination was the Osun Oshogbo sacred groove, prior to my visit, all i knew about the place was that it was a tourist attraction with lots of cute monkeys living freely in their natural habitat. what no one told me was that, i was visiting the biggest site housing yoruba heritage, relics, artifacts and items of traditional African worship. This place known as the OSUN SACRED GROOVE is listed as UNESCO as one of the world heritage centers of the world. The dense forest of the Osun Sacred Grove, on the outskirts of the city of Osogbo, is one of the last remnants of primary high forest in southern Nigeria. Regarded as the abode of the goddess of fertility Osun, one of the pantheon of Yoruba gods, the landscape of the grove and its meandering river is dotted with sanctuaries and shrines, sculptures and art works in honour of Osun and other deities. The sacred grove, which is now seen as a symbol of identity for all Yoruba people, is probably the last in Yoruba culture. It testifies to the once widespread practice of establishing sacred groves outside all settlements.
The Grove is an active religious site where daily, weekly and monthly worship takes place. In addition, an annual processional festival to re-establish the mystic bonds between the goddess and the people of the town occurs every year over twelve days in July and August and thus sustains the living cultural traditions of the Yoruba people.

The Grove is also a natural herbal pharmacy containing over 400 species of plants, some endemic, of which more than 200 species are known for their medicinal uses.

A few weeks back, i and a few friends decided to tour Osun state. Sort of a weekend get away with friends, we had people come in from ilorin kwara state, lagos, osogbo and ibadan. River Benue is one of the Two major rivers in Nig
eria. The second being the Niger river. I and a few friends decided to take a tour in a canoe across river benue in Makurdi Benue state. Nigeria is indeed a beautiful place and i wished the canoe ride never ended. We passed ''wadata'' the area in makurdi predominantly inhabited by the jukum tribe. who are mainly fishermen. Then we went under the old bridge, which was constructed 89 years ago (1932).
The bridge was built to replace the Nigerian railway's ferry service that conveyed passengers across the Benue at Makurdi. The cost of the bridge was about £1,000,000, and it was constructed by Sir William Arrol & Co. At the time of its construction, it was one of the largest undertakings by the British in Africa and the longest bridge in Africa.

The journey started at around 7:30am at the benue links park opposite University of Ibadan first gate. And we arrived wurukum makurdi at around 9am the following day. The journey is originally 15 hours but our driver was trying to beat traffic and so ended up using an unfamiliar route, we got missing. Luckily, we came across some hunters that helped us find our way back to the highway. we arrived the outskirts of benue at around 1am and had to stop and spend the night in the bus by the road side because there were rumor's of a robbery happening in front.
