Me: I sourced for a private insurance following the incident and it got approved. I bought the Platinum Plan, which costs about $500 per month.
VO: Did you pay the insurance premiums out of pocket?
Me: Yes I did
VO: Can I see the premium receipts and itemized bill?
I handed that as well.
VO: Has anyone filed for you?
Me: Yes
VO: Who did?
Me: My Sister
VO: Do you intend to have a baby this time?
Me: No I don’t
That was how he handed a white paper to me and told me to pick up my passport in 3 working days o.

Isn’t God just wonderful?
That was how I packed my burden of proof back.
Apparently, if you have a guarantor in the US, a Private insurance can be approved.

In my case dey just frustrated me cos I don’t even have time to try other countries after holding to my passport for long and d gap in interview..mtsheeew

Truth be told this your story just made me a lil scared. Even though you explained that the fee was the going rate at the time. During my visa renewal(B1B2), the VO expressed that the fee was small(4k) and all but he gave us the visa. However he stated that if i want to travel to deliver i need to change my visa to Medical. Now my current visa is valid till December, i am scared that if i go for interview to change the visa they might not approve with all this there low fee palava. and if i decide to rough it and use my B1B2, further renewals in the future might be very difficult coz i am sure the VO wrote those comments in my file. I am just confused at this moment i tell you.

A lot of us paid complete the same bills and correspondence we used in getting the first visa for birthing, so what suddenly changed..
In proving that I can pay my bills, re u telling me that stmt of funds I presented at over N35m balance is not enough to settle medical bills.
After the first visa I used for birthing, I was also issued a second visa which I used for visit, so what’s the problem in this administration

Refusal was 2 years ago apart from 221g letter that i got recently.

Ahh d guy is very rude oo, wen u meet him in person u will feel like beating him up.. he gave hubby and I dt attitude and I was like bros we re same Nigeria oo, u shd understand my plight

God bless you for this response, i called the embassy yesterday just to find out if it's compulsory to have an invitation letter before applying but one stupid and rude guy just keep shouting SEND A MAIL, SEND A MAIL, SEND A MAIL.... I just imagine how Nigerian treat their fellow country man all because they are working at the embassy..... Mtschewwww

ds are d requirements, submit in dr Lagos office mon to Thur, 10am to 1pm. Average 21 working days dts around 4/5 wks.

So what’s d change of intent mail for since she didn’t even go for birth. I know of one mama dt dt was prevented from flying at d Lagos airport after been granted visa.. apparently d visa was revoked she don make noise for villa say she dey go US for omugwo. She stayed back in Lagos for one month for coverup and my friend bought her things for sharing in d villa

A former colleague just called to say her visa was revoked.She has travelled for vacation with it 3 times and has never given birth before in the US.She sent a change of intent mail even after using the visa for vacation 3 times and visa was revoked....

Just noticed I made a mistake in my TRV form..didn’t notice to change if u ve been denied visa before wen I was reapplying, I uploaded d already saved form but missed dat part.just noticed it yesterday but I submitted last week Monday 4th March

1) is this your first time going to the US for childbirth? If no, how much was your last bill and what hospital did you use?
2) what’s your current medical budget for this delivery ( is it $11,000 or $15,000)?

My husband and I have decided that I use other hospitals outside Texas in order to get a non discounted bill. I contacted Memorial Herman in Texas previously . My entire medical bill would be about $12,000.
( Hospital bill about $7,000 discounted).
Would you advice I use them or rather present two correspondences( one with $12,000 and another with $15,000?) and then explain my reasons for presenting both?

Just do that immediately, let her apply alone and state in her LOE to further enhance her ties at home, husband has stepped down after narrating other tie of income. I did that and dt was removed.i intend to reapply for hubby if mine is successful.. My issue is purpose of visit

I have been rejected twice and want to try my last chance since it’s just N30k.

Must there be letter of explanation as my issue is purpose of visit. I intend to use an invitation letter now but d one am getting is from Winnipeg while am going to Ontario, does it matter.
My second application I was able to justify my travel history and ties in Canada and country home in wch I stated I ve my family back here and a good job dt I can’t sacrifice for anything to stay back in Canada so I don’t know y d 2nd rejection remains I won’t leave Canada cos of purpose of visit

My advice pls don’t state childbirth else u ve been a constant visitor in Canada and u ve all medical correspondence, guess dts my problem wt dem so I don’t intend to mention it again afterall it’s already in my application, I intend filling just Visiting and do I stl do a letter of explanation

I applied as a tourist cos that is d only way to get their visa if u do not know anyone there.My hubby submitted and collected d visa on my behalf cos I didn't want them to know I was pregnant. I heard it is not possible again cos alot of Nigerians are going there to give birth under d disguise of tourism. So u have to apply in person. The visa is now extremely difficult cos their immigration is complaining dat Nigerians pregnant women are trooping in2 their country to give birth using their free healthcare. Nothing is impossible as people still get their visas though.Public healthcare is free. In fact u will be given some baby things In d hospital like pampers, baby clothes etc. Also, three times meal until u r discharged from d hospital.Free test for your baby and subsequent monthly check up until d baby is 1. When d baby is born, series of test will be conducted to know if hes healthy. Eg PUK, hearing test , blood group and genotype etc. It is completely free. Even immunisation is given without stress. Baby takes first immunisation b4 leaving d hospital. It will be given on d bed. Lols. Unlike here dat u queue up for immunisation.

Please is there anyone who has birthed in the US and went again for interview on birthing purpose and was given visa,
