one thing that makes me really excited about Fate Strange Fake is the fact that it was written by Rhyogo Narita. if you're not famillar with the name, then he is the guy behind Baccano and Durarara!!!. if you've watched any of these, then you know he can create multiple characters, with each of them being well developed. the case is simillar to whis oter works which are yet to be animated (Vamp! and Etsusa bridge, i suggest you check out their light novels)

one game i WOULD want to play right now is the Fire Emblem Engage. would like to buy the cartridge, but seeing nigerian game store's track record for selling switch games, i have a feeling that that will not be happening anytime soon.

Who told you Nintendo don’t sell well? Nintendo outsold the PS4 and Xbox one combined for years consecutively. Nintendo switch has been outselling PS5 for the past 12 months.

Nigerians consider it too expensive so it’s understandable, if it was within their budget a lot of people would own one. I have a PS5 and a switch oled but I spend more time gaming on the switch then my PS5 even though it has more powerful graphics it won’t really matter if the games are fun to play.

i forgot to add that i was talking about it not selling well in nigeria. Also i dont believe the price is an issue, since you can hardly enter a steert in an urban area in nigera without meeting someone that owns a ps3/ps4. the fact reamins that it is not popular here and nigerian game merchants are not supporting it. check most online shops in nigeria, and their switch catalog is very dated, with games that are 4-5 years old. Xenoblade chonicles 3, a game that was released this year and was nominated for awards is still nowhere to be seen in nigeria, and i doubt they will have the new Legend of zelda when it comes out next year.

the only options for people with switch is to buy digitally which has its own set of probelms like getting a dollar card since our banks have limited the naira cards, or buing eshop cards from nigerian sellers at ridiculous prices. there is also the possibility that one day the digital games wil suddenly corrupt, forcing you to redownload games of 10GB or more (has happened to me twice).

another option is to hack it or buy a hacked version, which is as expensive a a brand new ps4.

the reason why nintendo no dey sell well is beacuse nigerians no dey patronize am too much. all the games wey you psot none of them were released this year. some are over six years old. that is discouraging to say the least

We don't have that in stock at the moment.
We can get the physical copies for you, but it'll take some time.
Alternatively, we sell Nintendo switch gift cards. You can use it to purchase the digital version.
I'd rather wait for physical. currently facing an issuee where a digital game got corrupted and i had to redownload over 13GB worth of files.

Your point not only applies to online games, but to digital games as well. This is why i am suffering as a Switch JRPG enjoyer. its like I'm the only one who plays them in the entirerity of Nigeria. Imagine Xenoblae definitive edition that came out 2 years ago and i still cant find it anywhere. i checked multiple stores (jumia, konga, sosogames, jiji) and made several posts here. i might just have to buy the digital version whenever Nintendo does a sale

Gaming / Re: Why Nigerians Prefer Offline Games To Online Games...common Misconception by NoonMasamune: 12:10pm On Nov 30, 2022
in this day and age, lack of data is not much of a reason anymore. the main reasons in my opinion is the lack of servers and lack of accessibility by the console brands

when it comes to most online games, many people play competitive ones ranging from FPS like COD and Valorant to fighting games like Strive and Street Fighter. and in those games, your network latency will dictate how well you play. for most nigerians, the closest server is the europe one which usually gives average pings of 120ms. watching any clip of fighting games, you will know that the latency will play a huge problem in such a high speed environment.

unlike during the PS3 era where all you need to play online is an internet connection, consoles of this generation also require you to purchase a subscription, and that's where the lack of accessibilty comes into play. currently, there is no legitimate way for a nigerian to register his account as a nigerian account and buy the subscription in Naira with his credit card. for consoles like the Playstation, you cant even select Nigeria. as for Nintendo, the eShop is not available there. this means you will have to create an account under a different region and either get a dollar card due to the directive on Naira cards, or buy the subscription from third party websites just to play online.

hello all,
for the past few weeks i have posted about some ninentdo switch JRPGs, but it looks like no one in Ngeira has them. and due to the situation of naira, i can't just use my card buy them online, even the eshop cards are hard to get due to the limitation on naira cards. so i would like to know if anyone is aware of a service that can help someone order stuff from amazon, ebay etc and ship to nigeria at an amount less than amazon would. i would like to order the physical cartridges from there.

Business / Current Debit Cards International Transaction Limit by NoonMasamune: 9:42am On Nov 02, 2022
good day to all. i would like to inqure about what the current international transaction limits are on naira debit cards. i know that it is 20$ for gt bank beacuse i recieved a mail from them, but i also want to know about the rest of the banks. unfortunately, most of their websites have not been updated so i cant get much info from there e.g union bank only issues verve cards to normal current/savings accounts now, but no where on their websites was that infromation disclosed.
