MayorJoshofNewY: Huge congratulations, Nora. Happy for your family.
I saw your thread of questions from asking about how to explain a lump sum from a MFB Bank (same here, we had to liquidate and put a letter of explanation), and I saw you got your medicals to pass on Sept. 2nd before PPR.
Medicals passed came in for my family's PA today. In your experience, what is the next step? Well it depends; from people’s experience on this thread; if the Medicals was requested by IRCC then there’s a greater chance of Approval but with upfront medicals it’s usually 50:50. For my own experience; after my medicals was updated to pass, PPR and BVL followed within 4days |

pristinee: It's advisable you go to the one beside vfs, because it's more like the only work they do there, your mind will be at rest when u see people in your shoes. Just my opinion. Ok thanks |

pristinee: For your first question, you don't need to book online appointment for passport submisssion, go to the UPS office beside vfs office, you will be charged about 2,650 naira for 24-48 hours period submission to vfs. Pls must it be the UPS beside vfs office? Can I send the passport through any UPS office |

Hello guys; please I really need your input. I recently got study permit approval and want to apply for VV for my husband and 2kids. How do I do this? Do I use my profile or my husband needs to create a profile for himself? If my husband is applying on his own profile, how do I connect his application to mine? Do I need to show my POF again or his own POF will suffice? And how much will cover his POF for my and 2kids Please I would really really appreciate a response 🙏🏽 |

SouthernBreeze: I just got a correspondence from IRCC demanding for my updated bank statement. I hope I'm safe, eligibility started yesterday. May 17th applicant Wow! How common is this request for updated bank statement? For people that got approvals do they always request for it? N does this imply that u cannot touch the money for POF throughout the duration of the application |

Please what if the funds for POF are in a commercial bank (gtb) but came in as lump sum with explanation of a fixed investment with a MFB, will that suffice? Bobomaigida: Mba, not advisable. IRCC has been rejecting POF with MFB lately. |

Terminalia: PPR ALERT
MY TOBECHUKWU MOMENT IS HERE! After 2 refusals, I finally got my visa The story is long but let me summarise. I applied with my family on the 14th of May, 2023 and a refusal came in on the 1st of June. I was sad and confused so I reached out to some gurus here and they assisted me. May God bless their hearts. I waited for my CBSA note and they just mentioned that my financials and asset were not enough, so I paid my full tuition and added to my POF but the exchange rate showed us shege. I submitted the second application on the 9th of July and after 4 days, breakfast was served again. This time, I cried and was discouraged. I didn’t know what could be wrong because I added a lot of documents and my SOP was tight. I lost hope and told my hubby that I was done with Canada He sha encouraged me to apply alone the next day. Reluctantly, I submitted the application on the 14th of July and on the 9th of August, I got the golden message. It feels so surreal. Special shout out to bobomaigida, zubizareta and dessymond394. These guys took their time to review my sop and offer useful pieces of advice on my application free of charge. May God continue to meet you at the points of your needs. Application submitted : 14th July Medical passed : 3rd August PPR : 9th August Update on passport submission @UPS. UPS has moved from their office beside VFS to a new building, it’s on the same street but 5mins walk from the former office. Congratulations 🎉 pls did u use old or new portal? N what documents did u submit |

Bobomaigida: Even though lump sum can be explained, and some VOs do accept the explanation, it will be better for you to use the funds to pay your full tuition and open a GIC account for your living expenses. If you do these, no doubts will be raised by any VO as to the availability of funds for your educational and living expenses. The N3.5mm and balance from the N15mm will be used for flight and miscellaneous. Pls @Bobomaigida, in respect to this GIC account, how does one get funds back after opening the account if per adventure the visa is denied? |

Calmdancer21: This post is not intended to discourage anyone trying to come to Canada Rather my aim is to help make you better prepared. 1) Cheap tuition are often found in provinces where part time jobs might be very limited. As of today some students in Nova Scotia are having a really tough time financially. So please do your research. 2) Canadian schools are doing their best to cash out from international students which results in high number of admissions but please research about courses, do not pick course out of sentiments because coursework can be demanding. Imagine someone coming here with a kid and doing an M.eng course. 3) money is very important, student life limits your ability to hustle, yes people survive but not everyone has high threshold of handling pressure/stress. Finally let’s populate Canada 🇨🇦 good luck and it shall rain PPR this month. This your no 1 point, does that also apply to Saskatchewan? Cos I read that there are job opportunities though the tuition is cheaper than some other provinces |

BenedictStinson: It's not about how much is in your sponsor's account, if they are not parents or a spouse, they will usually need to "show" commitment eg by paying your fees and transfering your living expenses to your account. Its not about simply presenting a large account without any proof you will have access to it Thanks a lot for your response. What other documents do I need to provide for proof of relationship |
