The fact that this post could not name one factual person or group that was present at this fictitious political summit, should tell you this is completely made up hogwash. OP could not even name a venue or date when this happened. I wonder what tribal champions such as yourself stand to gain if you guys eventually set this country ablaze, forgetting that you or yours could be caught up in it.

why make up lies just to whip up tribal sentiment? this Op's only contribution to NL is tribal baiting content and the admins ought to restrict or outright ban individuals like this who have nothing reasonable to offer to this platform

SportsRonaldo To Leave Man United By Mutual Agreement by normac(op): 6:57pm On Nov 22, 2022
Cristiano Ronaldo is to leave Manchester United by mutual agreement, with immediate effect.

The club thanks him for his immense contribution across two spells at Old Trafford, scoring 145 goals in 346 appearances, and wishes him and his family well for the future.

Everyone at Manchester United remains focused on continuing the team’s progress under Erik ten Hag and working together to deliver success on the pitch.

IPOB terrorists, Atikulated Igbos and now Peter Obi supporters What has changed between 2019 and 2022?
Even though I know you are just being mischievous, I will take the pains to explain for the sake of readers who genuinely want to understand.
The 2019 election was a protest vote against the CALAMITOUS Buhari administration and Atiku's candidacy represented the best chance of unseating that disaster. Of course he also had the fantastic Mr Peter Obi on his ticket as well, so that team was preferable to the APC alternative. However now, we have the fantastic Mr Obi on the ballot in his own right and who is an infinitely better candidate in all indices (in my view) and when you have a better option, you don't settle for less (in this case Atiku or Tinubu). Hope this clears it up for you?

On topic, I'm glad PO can now win at least 2 SW states in Mr Keyamo's gracious opinion lol. This is progress from "he can't win one polling unit" and "Twitter President". Na so e go still shock them come February 2023.

I sincerely think you should commend the Yorubas for being loving and accommodating. atleast SW isn't making the place hell for Igbos, we help ur business grow even

Yorubas will never get quarter of the accommodation, friendliness and peace we show to you guys down west, Yoruba businesses will not even grow in the East, yall would never allow it.
Ignorant comments like this piss the hell out of me. Have you ever been to the South East? On what basis was this conclusion reached? What percentage of Yoruba people migrate to the East compared to Easterners who migrate to the South West? This is the kind of biased rhetoric that has been handed down endlessly and which make the illusion of a united Nigeria ever more fleeting.

The other parts of your comment are just laughable, "accommodation, friendliness and peace"? I'd like the views of the guys at Ojo Local government yesterday on this, or those of the guys who suffer regular attacks on their property at Ladipo and Alaba International, etc on this. Let's not even go too far back in history for other examples.

My advice, don't comment on stuff you have no knowledge of.

Eagba:
please I want to know if a landlord can draw up a no contest agreement with a tenant that stipulates that the tenant/ a third party can't Sue him for forceful eviction on expiration of his rent after due notice.
Hi, I'm not sure I understand your question fully. On what grounds would the tenant /3rd party even be able to sue if there was "due notice" as you say?

If it's about the forceful eviction then the landlord really should not forcefully evict a tenant whose rent has expired and has been given the correct notice, he should use the machinery of the courts to evict the tenant and not take laws into his own hands. That would be self help and in such a case, the tenant should be able to sue for the appropriate reliefs regardless of any "no contest" agreement you may have signed. This is because you have a constitutional right to seek redress for wrongs done to you which overrides any other law, you are also entitled to approach the courts for the protection of your fundamental human rights.

Hope this helps.
PropertiesRe: My Landlord Gave Me 6months Quit Notice When My Rent Will Due In 6months Time by normac: 12:51pm On Mar 09, 2021
xodyq:
Good morning guys. Is it right for my landlord to give me 6months quit notice (on 8th march) when my rent will be due in 6months time (31st August)??
Hi OP, please do not listen to those confidently misadvising you. A preliminary point to note is that it is actually during the lifetime of a tenancy that a landlord should issue a Notice to Quit so that the notice expires at the same time as the tenancy and you do not stay beyond the end of the tenancy. Landlord must not wait until tenancy ends to issue quit notice

Your first port of call should be your lease agreement, that is what governs the length of notice required. Where the Lease Agreement is silent on the issue, then you can fall back and have recourse to the provisions of the law on length of notice. The rule is if you are a yearly tenant (i.e you pay your rent on a yearly basis and not weekly or monthly for example), then you are entitled to six months notice which is to expire on the eve of the end of the tenancy) for example, if you pay your rent yearly on January 1 of every year, your 6 months notice must be such that the 6 month period ends on December 31 of that year.

In your own case currently, if there is nothing different in your lease agreement on length of notice, I will say that your landlord has not issued you with the proper 6 months notice as required by law. What he has actually issued is 5 months notice and same does not even expire on the eve of the anniversary of the tenancy as stipulated by law. As your tenancy expires August 31, he should have given a Notice that will lapse on August 30 and must be 6 months in length, in other words, he should have issued it no later than February 28, anything after that is not up to 6 months notice.

This being said, my humble advice is for you to start looking for alternative accommodation as even if you are able to successfully challenge this notice and stay beyond the date given, once your tenancy expires, you will still be liable to pay the landlord on a pro rated basis, for however long you stayed extra in the property. So to avoid issues you may start looking. However, the choice is entirely yours, seek advice from a good lawyer and do you, all the best.

Its so sad that 4 years later, in 2019, we're still being faced with such uninspiring choices for the highest office in the land. I remember in 2015 it was "a choice between a former dictator or a failed president" and I recall asking rhetorically, "what if the former dictator is also a failed head of state?". Sadly Nigerians went for the former dictator and we can all see how that's turned out. For me, the most worrying part of the article is the end which says the economy is unlikely to improve regardless of who wins - this is truly frightening. God save Nigeria

PoliticsRe: Ajayi Boroffice: Buhari Cannot Be Cloned by normac: 8:56am On Nov 27, 2018
For the record, I DO NOT believe for one second that there is any Jubril or whatever his name is in Aso Rock and I know its the same Buhari elected in 2015 who currently resides there. However, the Prof seemed a bit too eager to display his qualifications and his knowledge of the subject and quite unlike a PhD holder, was too impatient to analyse the stories and tailor an appropriate response. Perhaps the routine misuse of words by many Nigerians is also a bit to blame here. What I've always heard re the Jubril story is that he's an impostor from Sudan who's undergone extensive surgery and tutoring to look, talk and act like Buhari (again I am not saying this is true). However, cloning if I am correct has to do with using a living thing's DNA to create an exact replica of the original. This is where Prof Boroffice's thesis would have been very apt as the clone would require a normal growth and development pattern to reach adulthood.

Nnamdi Kanu and the peddlers of the Jubril story have never said (as far as I know) that Buhari's DNA was used to clone Jubril, rather, Jubril was supposedly found and altered physically to look and act like Buhari.

PoliticsRe: Ali Baba Speaks On Kemi Adeosun’s Resignation Saga Over NYSC Certificate Scandal by normac: 8:56am On Sep 17, 2018
This is the problem you end up with when a comedian wants to dabble into politics that he knows nothing about. The sad part is that this indicates a lack of basic comprehension skills and not even the ability to undertake any major analytical thought. The operative part of the NYSC Act simply states that "with effect from 1st August, 1985, a person shall not be called upon to serve in the service corps if; at the date of his graduation or obtaining his diploma or other professional qualification -he is over the age of thirty...". For those like Ali Baba who cannot comprehend, the important point is at the time of graduation or obtaining his diploma or other professional qualification. Thus, if you are below 30 years old at that time, whenever you decide to work in Nigeria (even if your are 70 years old then) you are required to serve. Oga Alibaba, nobody said she claimed to have served, she had also not "clearly passed the age to serve" as you erroneously state because she graduated at 22 by her own admission.
All the other categories of people you refer to would be liable to prosecution if found guilty, by all means prosecute them if you are able to, this fact does not take anything away from Kemi Adeosun's guilt. Stick to comedy
