So Atiku left Pdp for the ADC because he cares about Nigerians bah or about his political ambition.

Peter Obi can't get the presidential ticket under the coalition . That decision would be as usual highest stakeholders
Thank you for this comment. Most folks don't know this. These selfish politicians don't think of Nigeria or the masses, It's all about their political ambitions.

Back then I didn't feel pain so I didn't bother until now the pain got bad especially at night.

My neighbour said I should meet one baba to help me pull out the tooth. I don't know if it is a wise thing to do.

I currently don't have money for dentist. I'm managing the pain but sometimes it feels like he'll.

What should I do?
Pending when you have funds. Gargle that side of mouth using WARM (not hot) water and salt 10 times daily.
If you do it religiously, you will feel some relief.

This is not a treatment. Ultimately, you still need to see a dentist ASAP. Don't patronise any quack or local baba.

I have lived alone in apartment from 2019 to 2023
Due to financial struggles i relocated to my parents house 2023 since then i'm still with them

Now its 2 years and i have gotten financially stable and solid.
I want to leave but my parents are old and they want me to be around them at this stage of their life.

My parents are really old
My siblings are all married except me. My siblings are in different states far away from my parents.
I'm the only one closer to them

I'm the one taking care of the house and making sure things are in order.
But deep down i want to leave the house and go create my own family.

If i leave them and move out i fear that things will be out of order and disorganised due to old age.
Unfortunately no younger sibling to help look after them.

What should i do?
You are blessed. grin. Don't stay far away from your parents at this stage, since you are now financially bouyant.
Even if you rent your own apartment, make sure its not more than one hour drive from them.

Do this, you know your parents, there's a particular food or dish they like , it might even be an old school music recording,it could even be 100 or 200 naira mint notes ,maybe 7 or 8. you will be suprised at what shacks old folks. grin it might be individually.
Start preparing it, and when they want to thank you, jokingly, tell them to bless you.
Do this often, it will propel you forward, it's called, transference of grace.

Some will smirk at this key, grin. the current greatest world footballer lives with his Mother,.. he didn't just start, yes, he's good, he trains hard, true. But, there's a certain extra edge that pushes men into greatness.

.Trust me on this.

I support this. But again, Let's ask the most pertinent questions;

What measures have LASG put in place to ensure proper waste disposal in Lagos?

This man drove with the waste in his SUV all the way.....which means there was probably no place to dispose the waste properly around him.

Both the LASG and the man arrested are culpable. What is Lagos doing with all its taxes and IGR? A cosmopolitan city without adequate waste disposal strategies?

People who called Lagos a dirty ciry were not wrong after all
You don't live in Lagos. Each house is expected to have a Refuse bin and register with a LAWMA ( waste) operator..

The guy planning to drive at night. I will advise you to shelf that idea. As a newbie. 6a.m to 7pm is enough time to work.

The driver that was fatally stabbed at Obalende taking a trip from chevron. I think that was December 2024.
He is a veteran with years of experience under his belt. He belongs to our watsap group. We didn't even know it was him until his pictures started circulating across groups.
The case was so tragic at that time, the Lagos CP personally had to do a press conference on the case.

He left an aged mother, siblings ,fiancee and other friends in deep sorrow. Yes, the perpetrators were caught and they are still in detention. But, can it bring back that precious life ?. A young man full of energy.
Funny thing, the app companies didn't batt an eyelid. Business must continue. ..

Life is more precious than money. There's always another day to make money in ehailing.

I am sure apps have a reason why they don't allow the destination to be readily visible, so it is out of place for drivers to ask riders for this information until they are at pickup location and they shouldn't blame riders who don't provide this information.

It could even be a security exposure for me.

Now, I don't reveal my destination at all until they get to pickup location. Drivers should take it up to the app companies to add that feature

In this particular incident, the lady is not the only lover here. At least, the driver spent his fuel in getting to the location of the driver before cancelling. If he is too concerned about his appointment, then he should focus on it
The bolded is one of the things that made Uber lose market leadership .. 2021 till early 2022, Uber was still covering destination like a kindergarten keeping biscuit or candy wrapping foil. grin
This is Lagos, no driver is going to work like a Zombie.

What security are you protecting ? the algorithm pairs riders to drivers on a random basis.

The truth is for every location a driver is not willing to go to, there are other drivers willing to go there, if the fare is right. It's not an issue at all.

This is becoming a menace. These are not the regular ehailing drivers, they are cabals that have had a meeting within themselves to extort airport passengers.

These drivers will prevent other ehailing drivers from coming to the airport to pick the passengers at the app price.

I wonder why Bolt cannot send their undercover agents to fish these bastards out and block their sorry ass.

They did the same thing to my sister, two days ago at MM1. From airport to shomolu that app showed 6500, the driver forced my sister to pay 10k offline.

I mean, as smart as Bolt is, it should be easy for them to fish these criminals out.
6500 on Bolt to Shomolu from Airport is not fair to the driver. Less 25%, we are looking at 4600+.
Bolt/Uber/Indrive because of their selfish interest undercut fares at the Airport.
That's why the local operators @ MM1 also prevent Bolt from picking up at the terminal. It's not good, but Uber/Bolt/Indrive too all do crazy stuff trying to push out other local players.
So, I guess it's all about trying to survive.

IMO, Airport pick ups are not really worth the stress, no thanks to the undercutting fare tactics of Bolt/Uber/Indrive.

Good day my people, I just purchased a Toyota Corolla 2010 model for the purpose of InDrive/Bolt/Uber purposes. I want to drive it myself because am not okay with the comment about giving it out to.

Please am open to an advise on below.

Best time to start and close ( I am always free )
How often should i change the engine oil? ( when using everyday )
My driver Licence is not ready but i have a friend who has, can I use his info to register while I drive the vehicle?

Please advise me! I am open to it. Also tell me anything I might have forgot to ask.
My advice is, take things easy.
Why do you want to impersonate on registration, don't be desperate.
The other fellow advising you on WhatsApp is right.
Bolt/Uber will suck the juice out of your corrolla 2010. The fares are horrible now especially Uber.

Ask yourself, if it's a Tokunbo car. We are looking at 10-12 million naira current valuation. A 10 million naira car is too much for the hustle.

It's not about what you earn but what you can keep. The app companies are still the winners because they don't buy cars nor do maintenance

You won't fully comprehend what I'm saying until you are like 6-8months using the car.

1 Peckham (as you rightly said )

2. Tottenham (Haringey Borough and the North London axis , lots of Nigerians and Africans especially Ghanians )

3 Thamesmead (South East London) due to universities around the area

4 Barking & Dagenham (East London) Yoruba dominated

5 Woolwich (Greenwich Borough, South East London) has the highest number of Nigerian store, church and market

6 Edinburgh and Glasgow in Scotland and some part of Aberdeen . Those 3 have Nigerian presence ( Scotland)

1-5 are specific district .. No 6 is a city council due to the fact that they are mostly dispersed around the city.
Many thanks for this boss. Really appreciate.

Boss, Just right on time. I need some insights from you based on your experience overthere.

I need 4 or 5 districts where we have a high density of Nigerians in the UK. I heard Peckham should be on the list, I'm actually trying to narrow it down to well defined districts.

For instance, using Lagos ( though not a country) as a yardstick, South easterners often prefer Ago Palace, Festac, Mile 2 axis as residential hotspots.
While our Northern brethren favour Agege and it's environs.

Thanks. Boss.

@jozilin.
Seems the teacher needs the funds, if not, I will advise she withdraws from the service. The parents are not the serious type.

They would shift their responsibility ( getting the child prep ready everytime). They believe paying X amount of money will transform the child.
A child that can't pronounce 3 letter words wants to write common entrance. huh. Obviously, the child lacks foundation in a lot of subjects.

Why do some parents avoid taking responsibility.?
Which one is , "he wants to see what he is paying for "angry
Go and check, any child ( primary or post primary) that is doing well academically, one of the parents is fully involved in the academic engagements of such a child.

No child of mine will not take his/her studies seriously. Once, i notice any slack, I'm grounding all privileges ( No tvs, no cartoons, Ben 10 , Sophia, Infact ZERO screen time etc) with immediate effect.
That way ,they understand "consequence of not taking academic pursuits seriously.

It's a sinking fund bros... That's not even up for argument.
If I make 120k daily and spend 30k fuel to make it. I am never getting my 30k back. It's gone forever because my profit is not 120k but 90k. That 30k is gone forever. Tomorrow I will spend another 30k on fuel again.
Now imagine u can drive and make 120k without spending 30k on fuel***guy, d thought of that alone is what is gingering me.
The only discourage here is the high initial capital. If I can get this car on installment payment then I will dive in. Afteral HP for Naija used Corolla now is about 7-8m.

Information is key bro. It's just a matter of time, u can see Lagride has EVs in its fleet now, some other companies are entering the industry. There is an EV charging point by Sterling Bank on Adeola Odeku by Idowu martins.
How do u know companies haven't adopted it yet? Someone just said he knows a company running EV fleet for taxi. I have seen many EVs on d road, and some cars are EV but u will not know cos it doesn't have d regular robot design.

There are many things that affect the decision of companies, many companies now don't even want to own official cars, they use Bolt and Uber for all office admin, marketing and logistics runnings, they hire other companies for their supply chains. If u were on Bolt management u would have discouraged them from doing
The guy said they don't have fleet cars again in d bank. All their waka even to collect one sheet of paper from island to VI is on Bolt. He said in a day he does at least 6 return trips, he was lamenting that he wished d bank can just pay him half of that money and tell him to find a way to deliver all those parcels. That they had cars before but management vex and sold them off cos drivers were taking advantage and defrauding the bank.

Get information and run with it, don't be static in "this is d way u have been doing it so that's d way
it will always be". Don't say why are they not buying EVs or who will buy toks EV for $7k. That's myopic, think about what will work for u and do it, dont say why are others not doing it.
Sincerely, the only reason I haven't done CNG is because I still feel what wasn't designed by the manufacturer shouldn't be installed. I don't even put those white halogen lights in my cars cos I feel the wattage wasn't accounted for in d fuse and sensors when the car was designed.
You bought 20k fuel.with the cash in your hand You came back home with 50k... how is your fuel a sinking fund? huh

You actually believe banks don't buy brand new cars again for their executives.

You cited LASG buying electric cars. grin , you are using a state govt with deep pockets that can make a political move by buying a couple of EVs rather than a business move ..

You mentioned charging port @ Adeola odeku that has been there for over 2 years. Let me ask you, how many cars have you seen there charging since you have been passing.

Ok. I hear you.. 2nd electric vehicle for ehailing in Lagos. That's too expensive.
BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by northbird: 7:48am On Mar 03, 2025
Pearl1910:
1. A full-time ehailing driver currently spends between 500k and 900k on fuel every month.
Meaning in a year I spend at least 6m on fuel and u are telling me EV is not sustainable 😱
I will give anything for this running cost to be eliminated or reduced to a bare minimum.
2. EVs don't have combustion engines so nothing like monthly oil change and injector servicing. Every month u spend around 30k for oil and filter plus workmanship.

Better begin to see it o, cos joy is coming,
If u are talking about sustainability then EV is d way u should go. Nobody knows what the price of fuel and gas will be tomorrow.
Wait make the car land for Naija first.
Your analysis is flawed. They get back the returns on fuel,so it's not a sinking fund as you suggested.if you put in 10k for fuel, you are getting 10k+ X, back , X being your net income. X >_10k

Who will put down 7k dollars to buy a second hand electric vehicle for the purpose of ehailing.?
You are talking of no oil change. Is that the only issue?
There's no bank in Nigeria that has bought an electric vehicle into its executive fleet.
Banks like optimising cost. and you believe ehailing will adopt electric vehicles with the ridiculous fares flying around. I wonder why you argue against what is so glaring.

Let's wait and see what will happen in the next 6 months. Time is a good judge.

Taxis are generally expensive in Owerri. They have a vibrant taxi /car hire system on ground before Bolt came. Fuel also is not cheap in the east, the local operators won't subscribe to the nonsense fares Bolt might be proposing.

SUPERPACK:
The expulsion was not only because of the assault on the lecturer but the fact that the lady was unapologetic to her action. Even when students were telling her that the man he was heating is a lecturer she refused to let go of him. She even stood her ground because her mum was also a senior lecturer in the school.

It's left for her to appeal the school senate judgement and seek for a suspension or drop a session as punishment.

But regardless her stay in that school is a danger, all lecturers will not hunt her by all means because this is a fight against all.

I will voluntarily drop out than stay back.
Exactly, infact if she had immediately knelt down in apologies to the elderly man. I'm sure the outcome wont be like this . But, she was too proud. How do you strike an elderly man? and rip his clothes. Even if he was not a lecturer, by virtue of the age difference.
Where I come from, there's a kind of reverence given to elders.

The moment she tore the lecturer's cloth and bit him. There was no going back. I knew she was going to be expelled.

Try and do a role reversal. Imagine another scenario where a male student rips off a female lecturer's shirt and inflicts bite wounds on her shoulder blades.

Infact, the male student in this hypothetical scenario won't only be expelled. I'm sure he will also face criminal prosecution.
