Waoh.. so indrive na salvation for another app... I was telling some people here. It's not by gra gra. The road show on 3mb had no effect on consumer loyalty.
Glithronix: I picked the trip order and wen I got to the PU, those ladies were in a lagride SUV. The lamentation was that the driver said no AC, so, they had to order another ride. No wonder the first thing they asked me when I picked their order was AC. It is well.
Much respect, baba.
You mean Lagride sef dey hustle Indrive. I thought it was only dose korope guys. Lagride need to go n learn from their masters.
dapotemi: Well, I won't totally agree with you tho, they have an advantage; roads are very very FREE!!! most of the trip usually end within 18-25 mins and the average is 6k...If I see this in Lagos, maybe I'll take it..Atleast 'cheerful' consistently preach here that distance does not matter but TIME.
What about fuel? Lagos has the cheapest fuel in Nigeria at the moment. Ehailing fares in Abuja is total rubbish.. There's a uniform price of spare parts. If a corrolla hub is 60k in Lagos, it can't be lesser in Abuja, yet they use the same Toyota corrolla. You are expecting AC at roughly 1k per litre.. I like Abuja drivers, they keep it real.
dapotemi: It's no longer anything close to luxury, just a basic tool that picked you from one point to another ...I have taken 19 trip on bolt within the last two week in Abuja, only one driver manage to switched on AC for me, and all the 19 driver ask that we convert to OFFLINE! I wonder how bolt makes money in this town sha...
Fares in Abuja is total rubbish. You got the service you paid for.
Bolt/Uber are the only transport operators not giving a commensurate proportional increase in their fares. Indrive seems to be on holidays.
I wanted to pick some items behind those mechanic workshop in kurata, behind agindigbi.
Bike from my house Bike My house to Fagba..... 500 ( previously 400)
Fagba to ogba keke .... 400 ( previously 300)
Ogba to Alausa ..........400 ( previously 300)
That's @ least 25- 33% increase...... at least an average of 30% across board I quite understand the reason for the increase....
My concern is actually those who earn meagre salaries n they have to transport daily to work If to and fro Alausa, from New oko oba, not even inner, inner Abule-egba cost 2600.. Those earning like 50k monthly, how are they coping?
If anyone is trying to start a business. The idea should revolve around needs.. basics, things people can't do without. E.g food business. With all the noise of high cost of flour. Bread is something people must eat everyday. There are several niches in the value chain. One necessarily might not need millions to start .
Kaymaxi2222: there is nothing like impossible here I know people that bolt takes 15% commissions from unless there rule of engagement has changed.....the more you are working on there platform and your acceptance rate and driver score is good they reduce there commissions on your trips. Go and verify it
Bolt is 20% actually, but in reality they deduct approximately 25%. That difference is for the govt, both state n federal Apart from the road tax collections by LASG, FIRs takes a certain collection from them, and it is drawn from the drivers . That's why Bolt keep insisting it is,20%. they expect you to figure it out.

On the % thing, there are different categories. It's actually 13% . And its not based on acceptance alone. The thing is, there are fleet managers in partnership with Bolt. They give out Bolt branded cars to drivers on HP, such drivers are on 13%, Reason for this discrepancy, this is my opinion. 1. To make the drivers easily pay off the steep weekly HP levies of the fleet manager, some pay as high as 60k weekly.
Checkings: You were already abusive by calling me a rookie which is dumb of you as I am obligated to air my complains after driving on the app for three years now. If bolt wants to award bonuses it should be subtracted from their commission instead while I get the full payment as the payment is even not enough. Imagine driving for an hour after showing 7k+ on the app I'm getting 6300 as the final fare which normally the 7k fare isn't even enough. Why can't I get the full payment from the rider while the commission on the trip is deducted without affecting the initial fare
You feel slighted when you were referred to as a rookie. The issues you raised are just too basic. Its only rookies that are bothered by such things.Every trip you take on an operator, there's a service charge deductible from the gross fare.. in this case, Bolt is your operator, so you are entitled to only 75. 03 %or so of the gross fares. It's always accurate.
Kaymaxi2222: the guy is actually correct to some extent and there is no reason abusing him abeg.......if your passenger gets discountI have calculated it and sometimes it eats into your earnings
donbrowser: Yes CNG is safer than petrol. You already have the stats steering at you. Only Africa and Asia are adopting CNG. Petrol is globally available unlike CNG. You should ask why they are not creating the electric version of these cars instead of petrol versions. You can say it has nothing to do with Nigerians yet but you have to applaud the FG for attempting to drift into something safer and more affordable for Nigerians who cannot afford electric cars.
Disclaimer: If there's actually no subsidy on CNG.
If after watching this video you still want to argue that CNG is not safer. Continue using petrol, it's your choice bro.
You are missing the point. He's saying, if renowned car makers ( with R& d arms who have budgets running in millions of dollars)side step cng and still churn out petrol fueled vehicles in 2024. Why should that be?
Don't forget Toyota n co also produce for African firms and corporations. Na individuals dey buy tokunbo. Most solid firms buy brand new cars for their executives.
Barbiturate: Hhhmmm! That means 22k half tank fuel would fetch you about 110k. Deduct 25% and fuel, you have about 60k.
Omo bolt fit try but with indrive, I don't think it's possible.
I use 14k a day and make btw 40 to 45k on indrive. Now it will be 20/21k a day. I don't know how much this can make now, but I'll try bolt tomorrow and see
I already mentioned Bolt n only during high demand periods
pope191: Boss if you buy half tank of pms for 22k, what’s the return you have in mind at least to see the hustle as profitable.
Let's do the maths .. an average driver uses 20-25 litres on a typical workday. So there's a 6000- 7500 deficit to cover @ 300 extra markup if bought @ 920 per litre.
Mostly surge trips ( trips less than 8km) n long trips with minimal traffic will do the trick. This strategy will work only on the Bolt app. Its bound to fail on Indrive n particularly on Uber.
donbrowser: Follow trends, the world is moving to green energy. That's why Elon Musk tagged his electric vehicles (cars for the future).
Nigeria has not resolved electricity problem, also electric cars are expensive. We have gas in abundance which will equally reduce the CO2 we produce. It's a good option for a country like Nigeria.
Are you also aware that CNG is safer than petrol?
Really, I'm sure you heard of the sad incident at a fuel station close to Alausa.
Let's say, he uses 60k fuel weekly, that's 240k monthly and 8 months have passed in this year, that's 1.9m in 8 months just on fuel.
That fuel matter no really dey pain me cox we use it to make money but you see engine oil, that shit is going up every week, they now sell total 20w-50 for 22,400, I'm pretty sure it must have gone up to 25k like this.
Tinubu is a curse on us
How can you be bothered by engine oil? Service is monthly if you drive well. Fuel cost should remain tops in your cost input.
donbrowser: The government has to be transparent on the bolded. They need to tell us if there's subsidy on CNG now. Not that in future, they will do us the kerosene and cooking gas treatment.
My question has made you to have a rethink of your stance?
Checkings: My problem with bolt is the fact I can't choose the amount myself. Most annoying part is seeing them give the rider bonus and still charging you commission ontop
This shows you are a rookie. . Some old drivers share the same sentiments. I 🤔 wonder, what's your business with rider bonus, the most important thing is for your own money to be complete.
Pearl1910: Do u see how upset you are because Pope insulted u... That is how upset a lot of people were when u said Tinubu has not changed anything that people have been suffering since 19kokoro. You touched nerves and that was very insensitive
A little self retrospection would have helped u talk better and be more sensitive of people's plight. Everyone is taking on d challenge of surviving and moving forward in these hard times, however they want to vent and lament allow people to express themselves. In one breath you are saying u are still struggling in another breath u are saying Tinubu govt is not affecting you. Well that's your opinion, albeit, it is clear its a false one. If what u post here is true, I remember u were adding 1 car to ur fleet yearly between 2019 and 2022, u have also been on a building project for as long as I can remember. You always buy toks, but today u r asking questions about Naija used car for 2.5m and builder is giving u 22m to do block work and roof only. Before 2019, 22m will build u two houses and 2.6m will buy to a sharp toks RX300 or Toyota Camry Muscle. I am pretty sure your salary + income from side hustle has not increased by more than 50% of what it used to be but every single thing in the market has tripled since 2019 till date. So is ur suffering now not higher than ur struggles before? How can u in your own right personal judgement, sound the way u sounded and expect people to tell u well-done. Except u never had or acquired the things u say u did or u are plaqued by the sickness of tribalism and bigotry. U may not want to accept it but that's the truth. Nobody is upset with u for supporting Tinubu, some may be disappointed, but largely people are used to it, however u where inconsiderate to what people are going through and the reality on ground today.
By calling someone an ordinary driver when u urself are one.. . is evidence that u may probably not be mentally stable. The house u have not started, many drivers on this thread have completed their houses long time ago. There is nothing u have, that a driver in this thread, have not achieved in life. I did ACCA far back in 2013, PMP in 2014, CBAP 2017. What makes u think in your tiny brain that u are even an inch better than an average driver. Is it because u have a 9-5 job, u travel on office paid trips around Nigeria and that u are building a house Even your MD/CEO is lamenting about the economic situation if not openly but silently and is probably considering how he will downsize to remain afloat and u are here ranting about getting a job and insinuating that somebody that has a job is devoid of complaints and is financially free. Sorry to burst your bubbles but u are on an imaginary high horse, u are still on the same class like the ordinary driver, trying to spite Pope by calling him a driver is cutting off your own nose, it is self destructive. You aren't any better, so humble yourself and think like the educated man that u are. This is not about politics, the urge to feel better than another man or the need to put another man down is witchcraft.
