tayoTFC: dear nairalanders... i would like to visit canada. i would like to know the process and document required for tourism/visit visa.
i am a regular income earner in an oil and gas company i believe i should have all the required docment.

dould i need invitation letter? or i can just do my itenery and hotel booking and schedule of place to visit..

bumdish: For the benefit of all, especially those at various stages of application, I have posted a screen capture of the online tracking portal showing the various status at each stage of the visa application. I hope this would help calm some nerves, quench some curiosity and inform altogether.

Pix 1: You'll see this once you concluded that application submission process. The process includes document pre-scrutiny, fees payment and application submission

Pix 2: You need to take chill pill to see this. Only God, CHDC and VFS knows what determines the waiting period, but generally, it takes between 3weeks and 4months. Also, I believe most people are handed their medical invite here.

Pix 4: Once you see this, start heading towards 16, billings way. Most people don't get to see this because it lasts only a few hours before the next update.

Your application reference number NGA/_ _ _ _ _ is now ready for collection. Please visit the the centre where you submitted your application with your receipt and identification proof

gini: Hi peeps, has anyone here who used a Sponsor not related to him/her ever been issued a TRV. If yes pls share your experience.

Also state if the sponsor was an individual or a company.[/color][color=#006600]

Obamacare: You are right to some extent but the truth is he can apply for a visiting visa and decide to change his status to study visa without leaving canada. What you do is apply from the nearest embassy to you which is in the US. This you can do simply by courier while your visa will be returned same way. A friend did that some time ago and it worked perfectly.

Finally I have collected my passport with my application granted that means CDHC don give me visa

bamshy: Questions 1 and 2 seem inappropriate here. Question 3: does not have enough information for a sound response. However, I think your status may be presumed to have changed since your last application & may be subjected to same scrutiny of a fresh application while keeping in mind your earlier reason for refusal. I'd say be patient and hopeful. With God and better preparation this time, Your dreams will come true.

The requested documents has been received on 23/05/2012 and has been resubmitted to the embassy for processing.
A mail sent to me reads
Your attention is needed at VAC at the earliest.
Pls what do these messages mean especially the portal message. I submitted on 30th April at VAC n it was submitted to CDHC on 2nd may. I hope this is not a denial as it is coming too soon..........guys fear dey catch me oooooo!!!

Congrats Bro! Am so so happy for you.Your gona enjoy the weather during the fall.Its summer right now,but its still cold in some cities in BC.One more thing,dont change most of your money @ the airport,you can do that later,its better,trust me.I did that mistake and lost couple of dollars to there bad exchange rate.

Guys, i got my visa today. My class start Sept and the xpiry on the visa is 08/31/2013. Issue date reads 14/05/2012.
I didn't have to pay tuition before i got the approval and my sponsors account read only M2.9 which is far below the ($12,800 tuition + $10,000 welfare), tho my sponsor has a good civil service job.

My sponsors letter to the cdhc has no court signing (affidavit) on it, Just a signature following a word processed letter i typed myself.

Well I have been off net work for a while
I got a frm CDHC exactly 10days after my medicals that I should get a new start date for them to continue procesings my application so I wrote to the school Stouffville college and I was told to the tuition first which did and I have submited to CDHC today so hopefully by God's grace b4 month end I will be granted my visa

Jasmine007: @all , My prayer is that good news from the Canadian Embassy concerning TRV and Medical Instruction notices should rush inn before this week/month runs out by the special grace of God (Amen). I understand why the house is so quiet (nerves) but the good news can and will revive every...Hope for the best and never you loose your head... God @ work noni ...
