aryzgreat: @ Ntom and Justwise, please when did they put hold on the federal skilled worker's program? am about applying for it. I have gone to canadian embassy in lagos but was told to go to Accra Ghana, dat Accra handles such visa for west Africa, please if its true it has been put on hold, kindly respond this comment so i won't waste my money going to Ghana. Thanks i appreciate u guys. Curiously waiting for any reply from forumites.
It has been temporarily suspended till January Next year,so don't waste your money going to Ghana, and more over it is not in Ghana that you will submit your application. You can only go to Ghana when they must have approved your application and it is them that will direct you to proceed to Ghana for your PR.

efosa12345: I would say unequivocaly that, that guy got trv because he were self sponsored, but in dis case dad is sponsoriing you, and dad should have enough cash in his account to take care of ur education and other pple afair, and dad should have huge amount to solve other issues if arise. Pls my advise is 6m and above is reasonable.
I didn't quote you wrong,i was just emphasizing for the fact that someone also with dad"s account of about 10m was also denied, and a self sponsor of 5m was also denied, what matters most is the source of income and availability of the money not even 10 to 20m in the account and the dependents too as i said earlier. Some one in this thread has been told also by maple that the sponsor should have up to 10m in his account before they can assist him in visa packaging but the guy later seek advise from here and he got his trv.My advise to you is that if your father have a reasonably amount of money in his account and the best will be his salary account too as a civil servant, you stand a better chance to be granted but try as much as possible to reduce the number of his dependents and better prove of other ties too
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 3 by Noswaa: 3:16pm On Sep 13, 2012
efosa12345: Hi dude, though Maple has told u the right thing anyway, not withstanding, from 6m above is quite enough to present to cdhc, and the inflow and outflow of the account determines the viabilty.
I have seen a self sponsored that got trv with 3.5m,so it matters on the source of income and availability of it when needed, they may also consider the sponsors dependents, even without properties and this just happened of recent. My advise is try as much as possible to boost your account to the best of your ability.

My CEO is my cousin and he did his PhD as well in Canada,he tried as much as possible to prove that to them but because of the way this people regards we Nigerians, they hardly believe u,and my appointed time to be in Canada may have not yet to come,so my husband is going to sponsor me next time. For those that are telling me take heart, yes it is painful for any failure but i didn't see this one as a failure because they stated what i should provide to them to grant me my entry so i don't think that i need more of sympathy than to do what they told me and get my visa.

efosa12345: @Noswaa, do you work with the company? And hw much do you have in ur sponsor account? This pple brain dey skip well well
my brother, yes i work with them and they gave me every thing i need,i know what CDHC need and i promised to give them next time.Thank God that my gap is not wide to fill.Since they did not mention that am not a bonafide candidate and out of the five or more stipulated reasons to deny entry, they only indicated just 2 out of them,i think my gap is not much for the next application. What they need from me is just to provide a good sponsor that is all.

roadmap001: My Dear, I would firstly tell u dt all that I would tell u here is the gospel truth en anything aside it may lead to what u would always regret in life! Abt ur visit visa pls don't come here with visit visa if u don't have R10000 for ur study permit which include ur deposit at the home affair en I promise u would nt have ur sticker till u leave this country all u would get is an acknowledgement receipt showing that u av applied. This is my advise. Get admission from nigeria in a college or university here I can help u get that if u av what it takes, then apply for ur study permit in nig cos it more easy en cost less or better still come with a visitor visa en mk the asylum paper here which would allow u work en study en pay same tuition fee like citizen.
pls bro,i wish to come and do my masters programme, how possible to get a job no matter the pay atleast to assist support me a beat, after graduation do u know how easy to get a good job there.thank u

I believed that fhemmmy have said it all,you should have make a statement and attached to it why you were unable to to provide the receipt from your school but i strongly believed that the unavailability of it can never deny you permit because they still have access to communicate directly to the university whether you submit it or not.

[quote author=ancient1]Mr obama, yes I quite agree with u that if you were d vo u would most likely deny me, reason being that you probably wouldn't go through my application at all. Whoever said I was going in for an msc again, I thought I said mba...they are two different qualifications. If the vo had issues about my qualifications and why I intend studying I would have been refused for not being a bonafide student ......or don't u think so. Secondly , of course I have other accounts but I didddnt think I needed to submit more than one since I'm not even sponsoring myself, the most reasonable one to submit would be the salary account since I claim to be working....I know of people who did not even submit personal bank account at all because they were being sponsored or they were even unemployed I know someone else with salary of 64k that got the visa so what r u saying? I know i have a pretty good profile and I would get d visa eventually. I need to show stronger ties to my country, that I would do in my next application . I studied and worked briefly in d uk and I left voluntarily with over a years residence permit on my passport . I did not like d place and I left and I came back and got a job. I thought that should show d vo that im not desperate to live abroad. You cannot predict these people , just package your application well.

Infact you are more than qualified, your chosen course is also in line and the documents as well is ok,just give them a good home ties, definitely you must scale through, make sure you back it up with prayers.wish u gudluck,

Obamacare: @Noswaa: Long time: Let me ask your opinion on this. Is it advisable to submit an old passport together with a new one when applying for study permit? Also what do you think is the chances of getting a study permit when one has been refused visiting. the person was refused over 2years ago though?
Thanks your inputs are always genuine.
Yes brother,Submitting an old passport with visa on it whether expired or not will be an advantage, some embassy do make it compulsory unless otherwise, but i will not advise you to submit any old passport with visa refusal.Denying of visit visa have nothing to do with your study permit decision.I understand that Canada visa decision is quite different from that of most embassies in Nigeria, since your are able to provide the necessary documents,i don't see them denying you visa.To my own understanding, this people are more interested on how you are closely related to your sponsor and if you are self sponsored, you must prove to them that you are capable and back it up.
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 3 by Noswaa: 5:44pm On Jul 22, 2012
galala123: @Obamavare, thanks for the advice. Hope to reapply but, at a higher educational level after collecting my transcript. I thank God it was rejected coz, the September timing is coming much faster than expected and it would have been difficult to go.

What good reason do I have to apply for visit visa? Will they not think I am planning to take off? Especially having applied for study permit EARLIER which prima facie establishes a case that will not favour me? If a visitor visa application is turned down, it may affect my next student visa application adversely.
I will advise you not to apply for visit visa because if they turn it down again, your chances of going to canada will be narrowed.Just get another admission like Msc or professional certificate programme, and reapply. With the info that you got here,i believe you will fly.I feel that your earlier chosen course is what make them think that you are not a genuine candidate and thereby suspending further processing. You have more than expected requirements to secure trv but you only lack proper documentation, and i strongly believe that as soon as you follow this thread till you submit your visa application, you must be 90perc sure of you trv.

bancan: hi guys,I hope you guys still remember my case. Anyways I went to the embassy on monday but got there around 2pm so I was told I can't be attended to at that time again that I should come around 9pm d next day,d next day I wasinformed of a job interview of a job I applied for that will take place on thursday and I will need my original docs,so I rushed to d embassy on tuesday morning to withdraw my application,I filled d form and wrote there dat I don't wish to withdraw it but I need my docs tomorrow for an interview,I also went further to explain my case well in d additional information column.the form was taken in and after waiting for over an hour I was called via phone from inside to come back by 3 that they want to process my request and give me my docs so I went to a fast food and sat down from 11am till 2.15pm,i returned to d embassy gate at about 2.30 I was called on phone almost immediately to come inside .I was relieved at last that at least they'll give me my application back and I'll stop d tracking madness since the intended travel date have passed. When I got in I was told to go for MEDICALS with my baby I was given the medicals envelope and told to go for it as soon as possible. I couldn't believe my eyes.I was like sorry my name is so so so so and I'm not going to study(thinking they've mixed me up with a student) but they were like we know you are the one. I am so so happy and grateful to Jesus cos I went there to withdraw but got medical request.thanks to all that encouraged me.
I think i told you that you are expected to apply for reunion that it may be the cause of the delay but you neglected my advise, congrats

sucre cruz: Hello All
I am happy to see the vibrancy in the house for those that got their TRV and medical call up congratulations and also those that were refused TRV also congratulations because CDHC refusing now gives more reason for you to get it right next time there is nothing like failure it only exist when you decide to remain down with it but my fellow comrades I have come to discover that with right packaging your TRV is sure I have been here for a while now and I have seen so many unqualified people here but only God knows how they got their TRV well I see it as hope for those aspiring to come never give up if you dont get your TRV now you will get it later I prefer to see the cup half full than to se it as half empty . Most importantly let us know the details of what you sent to CDHC that will only help to know where you didnt get it right and we will all put our heart and soul together to fix it right.

@Newacca and winwin I am waiting for you guys to come to SC so we can laugh over this whole stuff
Pls drop ur email to me at bestfrank44@yahoo.com,

Sir P!:
@josh I don't think you can sponsor yóurself, because CDHC will be wondering how your 2nd,3rd and 4th year fees will be paid. Unless you have fees and maintenance for four years + as an undergraduate what kinda job do you do that will generate so much? Those are ?'S you should ask yourself
good one

As of July 1, 2012, CIC has temporarily stopped accepting applications for the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP). This temporary pause does not apply to those with a qualifying job offer or applying under the PhD stream. We will likely start accepting applications again when the revised FSWP selection criteria take effect. Proposed FSWP changes should come into force in early 2013.http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who.asp

galala123: @winwin123.... Not funny @all. 14 weeks now and still counting!

@newacca...thanks for the info. Some of us waiting for long found a lot of comfort knowing dat U still got called for medicals after months of waiting. Were U invited for interview or did you gate crash the interview?
During last year,it took longer time to call for medicals but for this september academic entry has changed, almost every self, parents sponsored applicants receives medical call up within 1month of submission.
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 3 by Noswaa: 7:43pm On Jun 29, 2012
galala123: Self. I paid 1 semester tuition initially and the tuition for the second semester last week as the whole tuition was due on the 27th
your case suppose to be given adequate attention because the people the use to delay their application is those that are been sponsored by distant relatives,i dont know what could be the delay,i suggest you should update them with the second tuition payment receipt and inform them the reason why you did that so that it will not be as if you are desperate.
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 3 by Noswaa: 7:18pm On Jun 29, 2012
galala123: Thanks Noswaa. I am aware that no answer on this forum per pending applications is cast on stone. Just making guesses and was hoping for a start to find some people who recently got medicals invite after months of waiting @ least to comfort those of us in that category!

I also hope to find out from those whose applications were turned down after waiting for months if CDHC actually worked on them after such a long time.

I read on this forum about an applicant who was denied after 3 days but got his package back about a month later.

Remember days of US visa denial Stamps in passport? Eventually the practice was stopped as people complained. If you deny me a TRV, @ least release my PP as soon as you deny me to carry on my other activities and explore other opportunities.
who is ur sponsor
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 3 by Noswaa: 7:00pm On Jun 29, 2012
galala123: Thanks a lot. I was beginning to wonder if my question was ignored coz it is silly.

My application has been with them for over 3 months now! I hope we will eventually get answers to my second question viz: if they intentionally delay returning the application package to VFS after refusal.

Thanks Sir P and all.
No body is exactly working with CDHC to give u accurate information. This thread is all about information on likely things not exactly but what i know is that there is a little change in the CDHC service regarding to medical call up,bf it takes months to call for medicals but now is weeks and know body knows why.According to ur qtn what i know is that if you submitted ur application through VAC,it will be return to them as soon as they are through with it whether refusal or granted, then VAC will contact you for collection. No body can tell you if they are intentionally delaying to return your application or not.Gudluck
