InvertedHammer: / Believe it or not, all hope is not lost for naira.
But it will never get to pre-Tinubu level again.
The USA side of US$ support is almost over. The Fed Chairman Jerome Powell signalled halt on rate increases since inflation is gradually decreasing. Expectedly US$ has started and will continue to soften baring any fundamental event like major war. Nigeria needs to get her house in order to tap into this US shift in monetary policy. If Nigeria can't in this period, then it is really over for naira.
/ I don't understand this. What's has this got to do with appreciating the Naira? |

DeepSight: I am tired of people referring to a one-sided annihilation process as a war. In a war, you see two sides fighting. Correct me if I am wrong, but since October 7th I havent seen Hamas engaging Israeli Troops as would be the case in a war. I have only seen the IDF raining its retaliation on Gaza relentlessly, without further response from those it is "fighting."
Yeah, we can call all that has gone on in the last few decades broadly a war, but this retaliatory action of Israel, I find hard to call a war when the opponent is invisible and unresponsive. 5000 rockets wen Hamas fire nor reach to call am war? Na slap be that? Do you know what will happen if 1000 rockets make it through the iron dome? Una go just dey talk anyhow because the Israeli spent billions of dollars to protect themselves. Hamas needs to be wiped out because funds are not unlimited. Next they will fire 10,000 rockets and una go still dey talk anyhow for Nairaland. |

43Ronin: Isreal will not forgive hamas. You took hostages of beautiful ladies, Raped and killed them because they refused to marry you. You must all die. Ayotollah will also not escape. This is why hamas & UN have been cajoling the world into not entering rafah because IDF will discover mass graves of the hostages. IDF on your mandate I stand gidigba Na that one pain me pass. Just kidnap another person daughter, wife, girlfriend and mother come dey rod am anyhow you like. Absolutely no right to violate a woman like that. Rapists annoy me to the bone. PrimadonnaO: Fable-like as it may sound to most of you, I do not doubt that it may indeed be true.
Once upon a time, I was very low on funds, and on thar particular Sunday, I thought of how much little I had to get me through the rest of the month until salary, so I wanted to reduce my usual Offering.
But the spirit in me said no. I told myself that God's portion won't be the sacrifice...so I sacrificially, yet cheerfully gave the regular offering I'd have given if I had enough cash.
That month, nothing that I should have spent money on ran out.
The units in my prepaid meter should have exhausted within that week
My cooking gas should have run out
Foodstuff should have run out entirely.
But in the strangest of ways, these items stayed for the next few weeks.
My light & gas got exhausted same day my salary came.
I had shared this story with my praying sisters.
They didn't think I was being ridiculous. They know me better than that.
But more importantly, they've seen the hand of God in varying dimensions. So there was nothing to jest about.
***** Guys, God will always meet each person at their point of need.
One person needs 400 naira for tfare Another may need 500 million to close out a deal.
So long as their hearts and eyes are stayed on Him...and those are their needs, He'll meet them accordingly. 👍👏 |

Dogalmighty17: The government lacks direction of any sort. There is no noticeable development plan. The president, suffering from dementia related aphasia, clearly seems not to be in control of his own government.
Every development indice and index keeps getting worse. Nothing has improved. Clearly, the president is incompetent and lacks the ability to move the country in the right direction. This government is the worst in the history of Nigeria. His Dementia was obvious during campaigns but hey, this is Nigeria. |

idahme: Men should know that women are hypergamous aka gold diggers if you put yourself in a position where a woman's stays is higher than yours your relationship is practically over. They look up to another person whose social stats is more than theirs, this is the way majority of women think. Don't be the fool to be scammed this way, always develop yourself to an extent where the woman always sees you as her hypergamous entity that will come and rescue her out of her misery else she will leave you alone.
Don't you ever sponsor a lady to be the dependent, go your journey and establish yourself before thinking of how to bring family over if you can stand the risk ... Very very well said. Always remain on top in every relationship. If she has no more use for you, that's the end. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Nigerian Pastor Stops Offering In His Church Until Price Of Petrol Comes Down by NothingDoMe: 9:23am On May 18, 2024 |
michlins: offerings were never part of the Bible. The early apostles collected offerings so as to help the needy and cater for the full time workers in the church.
Right now, it's different. Pastors are now richer than the church and probably don't need the money again. So this is a step in the right direction to take off the burden from the members Offerings not part of the bible yet early church collected it. Lol. |

This is a felony or misdemeanor offense, as defined in Section 427 of the criminal code act. The offender may be imprisoned for up to 14 years for the offense, or fined, or both. The length of the sentence depends on the type of offense. Nor be shalaye matter be this. Na prison dey look that girl so. |
