Politics › Re: South-south Results All But ENDS Peter Obi's Chances by NothingDoMe: 9:36pm On Feb 27, 2023 |
LegendHero: Even if they upload the result immediately as you said, it is impossible for Obi to win a national election.
I am not saying he is weak personally, he performed fantastically well, but the problem is that you need the North alliance to win election when you are facing the West. He depended too much on Northern christian and ran the most religious bigoted campaign ever but I don't think the Northern christians have that much numbers to offset the Northern votes.
Imagine Atiku/Kwankwanso is not on the ballot, Tinubu would have been getting millions of votes from the North by now. Three muslims shared the vote and they still had excess.
That is why I always tell people, any candidate that run a religious bigoted campaign will never win Nigeria whether he is a muslim or christian. Peter Obi was too confident and threw caution to the wind with the kind of divisive campaign he ran. Even Tinubu with muslim-muslim no do 1/100 of that divisive campaign. This is grammar. The only strategy in Nigeria is rigging. QED |

Even if Obi was with Atiku there was still no way to guarantee victory. How many of Atiku's brothers delivered for him in the north? Look to Atiku for his own failures. Upworkwriter007: FCT is considered a state. The provisions of this Constitution shall apply to the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja as if it were one of the States of the Federation; and accordingly - (a) all the legislative powers, the executive powers and the judicial powers vested in the House of Assembly, the Governor of a State and in the courts of a State shall, respectively, vest in the National Assembly, the President of the Federation and in the courts which by virtue of the foregoing provisions are courts established for the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja; (b) all the powers referred to in paragraph (a) of this section shall be exercised in accordance with the provisions of this Constitution; and (c) the provisions of this Constitution pertaining to the matters aforesaid shall be read with such modifications and adaptations as may be reasonably necessary to bring them into conformity with the provisions of this section It didn't say Abuja has transformed from FCT into a state. It says Abuja will behave as if it's a state. Let me highlight it : The provisions of this Constitution shall apply to the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja as if it were one of the States of the Federation; and accordingly - You see the clause? Na here lawyers take dey chop money. cc ihordspy |
Politics › Re: APC Desperate For 25% In Abuja by NothingDoMe: 7:37pm On Feb 27, 2023 |
lhordspy: Go and read section 299 and stop fooling yourself. So? Abuja is a state. Does Abuja functioning as a state change the requirement? Did it change its name from FCT? As long as 299 did not overwrite 134, then 134 still stands. Abuja is a state and still the Federal Capital. lol. |

Politics › Re: APC Desperate For 25% In Abuja by NothingDoMe: 7:13pm On Feb 27, 2023 |
lhordspy: Oga. This thing was straightened out by Femi falana himself. Go and sit down. Femi na supreme court? You should say that the supreme court has ruled that the FCT is not a requirement. Not Falana Section 134 of the constitution states that a candidate will be declared winner of a presidential election if he has “(a) he has the majority of votes cast at the election; and (b) he has not less than one-quarter of the votes cast at the election in each of at least two-thirds of all the States in the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory, AbujaIt's there in black and white. Make I translate am to another language? |
Politics › Re: APC Desperate For 25% In Abuja by NothingDoMe: 7:06pm On Feb 27, 2023 |
lhordspy: Hmm. How many times will i school you guys today?
You dont need to get 25% in FCT to be president. FCT is considered a state in the constitution. You just have to have 25% in 24 states, including FCT or not. Then get majority vote across the nation, then you are good to go.
Even going by the screenshot you posted, it shows you dont even know what is 25% of total vote cast. If LP is having 111k votes as the leader, then the second 61k with one LGA to go. it means the total vote cast is not much.
Children just full this forum, reason why i spend more of my time on twitter these days Incorrect. INEC has refused to clarify that even when lawyers requested it. You must win FCT. It's clear in the constitution "Incluing FCT" The or not you added is not in the constitution. Pray hard. lol |
