OP i spoke with one of the people in the know About buharis coming government and they say that Gen. Buhari has been advised to keep people that will largely want to use his presidency for a revenge mission away from position of powers. He said that Amaechi is one of those politicians that fall under the category that may want to use the incoming Administration for revenge on his perceived enemy and that the kitchen cabinet of the general are on the watch. 7 Likes |

Kogi state has witnessed a spontaneous growth in a span of 3 years under leadership of Captain Idris Wada, whose administration shall complete four years in office by 27th January next year. His government began its actions by setting up the think-tank committee. The committee came up with fashioning the road map network in the region improving the means of administration in the region. The government has also successfully involved the people of Kogi in the development of Kogi, and this has enabled the region to develop fast and successfully. Since when the captain took office, he has kept his promise to the citizens that he would complete all the development projects laid down by his predecessor, and has been up to his promise. For instance, he has been able to complete the great Lokoja water works, confluence stadium, state secretariat phase 2 and the new confluence beach hotel He has also begun new developments across the state, especially in the agricultural sector and Health department. For instance, In the health department, he has renovated all the general hospitals, established new cottage hospitals and a modern diagnostic centre at the Special hospital in Lokoja is almost complete. He has also dug several boreholes across the state. Currently, there is an ongoing project, redesigning and constructing the IBB way from Zango-Daji to international market in to a multi lane dual carriage way with street lights. There has also been strict financial discipline in the public service, lowering the cases of corruption. Mike Onolemenmen, the Minister of Works in Nigeria, has said that reconstruction of the Lagos-Ibadan road is going on well so far. The minister said this after inspecting the reconstruction works, noting that about 30 kilometers have already been reconstructed, which was perfect for the project. He said that this expressway reconstruction project may be even delivered before the estimated completion period, which is a 48 months schedule, due to the use of improved financing mechanism for the Lagos-Ibadan expressway. Private finance initiative would see through the reconstruction of the Lagos-Ibadan road by providing 70% of the funds needed, he said, adding that the federal government was responsible for rehabilitation of the 30% of the cost. He also said that there are 25,000 kilometres of fair roads in the country, with 10,000 km outstanding. He further explained that the country is undertaking 184 projects, hence demanding a portfolio size of about N 1.7 trillion, and there was a fair balance in sharing the projects among geo-political zones. He also confirmed that President Goodluck Jonathan’s government commitment to delivering good projects. He said projects would continue despite a drop in oil prices. The minister has said that the country would have a standard means to manage the roads network like happens in developed countries, once the National Assembly enacts the federal government – approved Road Reform Bill. He said the country was in plans to link the six geo-political zones with dual carriage ways. “What we used to call the missing link road on our route A2 from Warri port to Benin City,is already dualised. The missing link is now from Benin-Lokojaand work is going on in this missing link and the dualisation is in progress,” He said.
