Any known issues with the car? serious buyer |

Those figures are almost always an indication of engine displacement in litres (and hence power). so for instance, u can have a Honda accord 2.0 and the same model/year another Honda accord 2.4. The 2.4 will have faster acceleration and greater speed, but will consume more fuel under same driving conditions. hope this helps. |

Yeah, the first novel I read in my life was "The Blackmailers' written by one Joseph Mangut, given to me as my school's speech and prize giving day as the best student in English Language, JSS 1 1986. In a way that book was my appetizer to become the voracious reader I am today. |

The tragic story of Nabiha Jassim, a pregnant woman who was killed by US troops as she rushed to hospital to give birth.

B/3-187 reported that a white 2X door hatchback vehicle entered the coalition forces (CF) only lane in close proximity to the OP inherently forcing soldiers manning battle positions (BPs) to increase their force protection level to safeguard personnel and equipment. B/3-187 reported that the soldiers graduated their levels of response to the threat perceived by the vehicles movement toward CF resulting in disabling shots being fired to bring the vehicle to a halt before it could reach CF positions at the BPs and within the OP.
This is the US military's record of the death of a pregnant woman shot by its soldiers at checkpoint while on her way to give birth at a maternity hospital. Nabiha Jassim was 35 years old when she was killed in the town of Samarra, 110km north of the Iraqi capital, Baghdad. She was being rushed to hospital by her brother, Khalid, when their car approached a US military checkpoint and observation post that had recently been set up. It was a journey the family would never complete. The Iraq war files reveal that US troops manning the checkpoint believed that Nabiha's car posed a threat. As the vehicle carrying the family approached the checkpoint, the soldiers opened fire. Nabiha was killed in the hail of bullets that ripped through the car, shattering the windscreen and leaving Khalid badly cut. Her cousin, Saliha Hassan, 57, was also shot dead in the incident, which left the road covered in blood and broken glass. Nabiha's body was rushed to the hospital in an effort to save her baby, but the unborn child died in her womb. Had she reached the hospital safely, she would have given birth to a boy. Her story is just one of the hundreds of human tragedies that are catalogued in the Iraq war logs, which reveal that over the course of the conflict, almost 700 civilians were killed in more than 14000 violent incidents that took place at US military checkpoints. These so-called "escalation of force" incidents follow a repetitive and deadly pattern. An Iraqi civilian approaches a US checkpoint, fails to understand soldiers' demands to stop, and is shot dead after being assessed as a threat to the platoon manning the checkpoint. Just as repetitive is the US military response to such incidents: they are put down as a sort of collateral damage, seen as part of the inevitable cost of conflict, as victims of the accidents that happen under the fog of war. After Nabiha's death, the military said that the vehicle had entered a "clearly defined prohibited area" when they opened fire on it. The war log makes no warning of any warning given to Khalid as he drove his sister and cousin towards their deaths, and he has said none was given. "I was driving my car at full speed because I did not see any sign or warning from the Americans. It was not until they shot the two bullets that killed my sister and cousin that I stopped," he told the Associated Press news agency, shortly after the incident. A brief statement was issued by military authorities in the aftermath of the incident that said: "US forces killed two women by mistake, when they were heading to a maternity hospital." At the time of Nabiha's death, US soldiers in Iraq were facing intense and regular attacks on the country's roads. Checkpoints had been targeted by gunmen and suicide bombers on a regular basis. There is no suggestion that her killing was anything other than a deadly mistake. But for the friends and families of the innocent Iraqis mistakenly killed at US military checkpoints, knowing that their deaths were not intentional is scant consolation when such mistakes were repeated again and again. Expressions of regret from the US military, however well-intentioned, are worth little to ordinary Iraqis if no lessons were learned from mistakes that had such devastating consequences. Inna lilLahi wa inna Ilahi Raji'un. May his soul rest in peace. He visited our school in those days when he was minister and even went to my class (I was in SS3 then 1991) In fact, we shook hands and he patted my head as he did to many other students. We will remember you Prof. Babs!!!!!! |
Five members of the National Youth Service Corps, four female and one male, were last night, at about 11.30 pm, abducted by unknown gunmen at Corpers’ Lodge at Unuogha Community Secondary school in Omuma Local Government area of Rivers State. Gov Rotimi Amechi, Rivers State governor. According eyewitness account, the gunmen who arrived in a Sports Utility Vehicle, stormed the Corpers’ Lodge, shot sporadically into the air to scare people and abducted the corps members. They also made away with valuable belongings of the Corps members. Immediately after the Corps members were abducted, the kidnappers put the Corps members on phone to announce to their colleagues and relations that they are holding them. At the time the operation was on, the Police were contacted and immediately mobilised to the scene but only succeeded in pursuing them into the boundary between Abia and Rivers states. The Rivers State Police image-maker, Mrs. Rita Innoma-Abbey confirmed the kidnap when contacted and said that the Rivers Police command is working round the clock in conjunction with the Abia Police Command to ensure the release of the victims unharmed. In his reaction, Blessing Wikina, the Acting Chief Press Secretary to Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, told that “it is very sad an unfortunate that at the time corps members are serving their fatherland they could be kidnapped. The state Government calls on the kidnappers to release them forthwith as they are of no pecuniary value.” He also called on the police to ensure their release unharmed.” On 10 August, this year, during a Town Hall Meeting with the people of Omuma Local Government, the governor pledged to pay N1 million on each kidnapper arrested by the villagers to stem the tide of kidnapping in the local government. As a precautionary measure, P.M.NEWS learnt that the rest Corps members are being evacuated from their lodge by the government. http://pmnewsnigeria.com/2010/09/17/5-youth-corps-members-kidnapped/ |
Les Goldstein, a plumber a hero "I I plugged the leak oil" Les Goldstein, a plumber who claims to have invented the cap The plumber Les: "So I locked the flaw "My project has saved BP so far no recognition " DAMIANO Crognale MIAMI (Florida) "Everyone is entitled to her fifteen minutes of fame," said Andy Warhol. Plumber Les Goldstein happened yesterday, when he got up like every morning to go to work reading the newspaper and discovered that British Petroleum had developed his own idea of the cap, which was painstakingly managed to deliver to the offices of the oil company to block the leakage of crude oil. Without a degree nor a wealthy family, the plumber Les was still able to win a slice of well-being thanks to his genius and his ability nell'idraulica. He also won some award for the best inventor in Boca Raton, the rich and middle class town 40 minutes from Miami where they normally reside in Florida wealthy families who prefer to grow your family away from the bustle of Miami. Les had understood that his skills as a plumber could be helpful to the important oil company. As the days passed and the problem was not solved as soon as he heard that the oil company asked for advice outside the company to find a solution to the problem, not whether you have repeated twice and sent an email to the oil company asking information on technical details. From BP, rather than helping the volunteers who offered their help for free, they withdrew to curl behind the secrecy. Les still managed to get some more information than read newspapers with the help of a local politician, the representative of his constituency Maria Sachs in Florida and sent the prototype of its multinational cap "plumber" to close the leakage of oil. The day after hearing the news on the news that the leak was finally closed, after almost fifty years, has had his fifteen minutes of fame. After remaining for ten minutes, open-mouthed when he saw in the newspapers that the prototype cap was just what he had advised the BP Sachs called Mary to tell her what happened. She informed the governor of Florida eyewear Christ and the local authorities, then like wildfire the news came to New York to the headquarters of NBC, which was located in the early afternoon with his truck under the house of our plumbing, first a number of other local television stations, all in a row for an interview and a practical demonstration of the functioning of the cap from this unusual hero. Eventually NBC and WSvn, local television in South Florida, have interviewed him. BP "has denied any link between their invention and design of Les Goldstein," says the NBC, but did not contradict the relationship of letters. Les in the exclusive video for LaStampa.it showed us how the cap and how the cards sent to the British giant coincide with the prototype developed by them. http://translate.google.com/translate?js=y&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&layout=1&eotf=1&u=http://www.lastampa.it/redazione/cmsSezioni/esteri/201007articoli/56795girata.asp&sl=it&tl=en |

HATERS!! HATERS! HATERS!!! CAN'T YOU GUYS DO SOMETHING WITH YOUR LIVES INSTEAD OF HATING? |
I am not trying to scare you or be unpatriotic, but investigate well from other Indians who have been in lagos before. The life here is hell, except you want to live in ikoyi or victoria island, and that will erode all the perceived incentives because things cost triple what they cost in the out-of-bound slums. Besides, you face the constant threat of area boys, kidnappers, suicidal commercial bus drivers and many other prils too numerous to mention. Anyway sha, best of luck. |
