PoliticsRe: 7 Annoying Things About Lagos by Novice1(m): 3:44am On Jul 11, 2012
Whats annoying about Lagos?

EVERY darn thing wrong with the black man:

Arrogance-even beggars
Cheating- down to the sachet water hawker
Deception- "Worship houses" fleece people with the promise of more wealth (sophisticated ponzi scheme).
Under-capacity in everything-roads, bridges, social amenities, eveeryhting

In an nutshell, it is a honey pot that attracts flies to their death.

Orikinla: 1. Filthy stinking streets.
2. Lousy motorcyclists.
3. Bad roads.
4. No Future Ambition (NFA) girls and boys idling away at viewing centers and on the streets and having carnivals that do not add anything to our GDP.
5. Noise makers from the mosques.
6. Overcrowded streets.
7. Hordes of dirty Hausas in Ijora.

Obinoscopy: This is very bad. Reminds me of the dark days when the likes of Harry Marshal, Bola Ige, Williams, etc were murdered in cold blood. I just hope we've not gone back to the dark ages.
Nigeria is in one of its darkest days ever. Superceded only by the civil war.
PoliticsRe: FG Sacks NNPC GMD, Others, Names New Boss by Novice1(m): 3:24pm On Jun 27, 2012
Beaf: @polokor60

I asked you for proof of Deziani's corruption and you rewarded my request with guesswork and and halftruths! Lol!
Don't you think its strange to insist that someone you accuse of embezzling would have been vigorously pointing at her source of loot and trying to convince the Nigerian public that it was a source of unimaginable corruption that must go? Lol! Come on on, bro! Even the most daft thief in the land would not point fingers at the place they constantly steal from. No?
Deziani was among the loudest about the need for the fraudulent subsidy to be buried once and for all.

Dude, the only reason there is a campaign against Deziani is because she was one of the loudest voices for the removal of the subsidy. Many dark forces see her as a huge threat to their chopping moves. As for the Nigerian street, they hate her for making fuel more expensive. That is the long and short, the woman has committed no crime; there is no evil worse than false accusation. Let it lay.
How much are you being paid for your conscience?
PoliticsRe: FG Sacks NNPC GMD, Others, Names New Boss by Novice1(m): 10:13pm On Jun 26, 2012
oddy4real: What would GEJ do that would ever please you? Appoint you as GMD of NNPC? And what exactly is Madueke's offence?
Good question. He should:

---Start to see himself as the President of Nigeria and not Bayelsa or the niger delta.
---Go to a good polishing school and work on his articulation, diction and grammar (to at least give some appearance of credibility to his sham PHD)
---Be sincere about corruption; exhume all the probe reports he buried, implement them, prosecute all the economic termites/parasites to the full extent of the law, no matter whose ox is gored.
---Appoint people of unquestionable integrity to sensitive posts that can move the country forward.
---Allow for a free and fair election in 2015 even if he is contesting.
---MOVE HIS F***ING A** AND START IMPROVING THE LIVES OF NIGERIANS.

Do you need more?
PoliticsRe: FG Sacks NNPC GMD, Others, Names New Boss by Novice1(m): 10:05pm On Jun 26, 2012
Window dressing by GEJ to give the impression of fighting corruption.

Soldier go, Soldier come. The replacements are part of the rot that has plagued NNPC for so long.
The New GMD (Andy Yakubu) has been there since 1980 (32 yrs)ANd most of the new GED's have been around b/w 20-30 yrs.

Nothing will change, just a new set of crooks to get their share of corruption proceeds.

AND WHAT ABOUT THE BIG ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM? (DIEZANI). The entire Management of NNPC is in her pocket, and unless she is removed, corruption has made NNPC and the oil sector its home address.
PoliticsRe: Gov Rochas Okorocha Buying Roasted Corn.(pic) by Novice1(m): 9:15pm On Jun 26, 2012
Publicity Stunt. I will not believe he is with the masses until he:

Buy that corn and eat it for at least one year
Use public transportation for the rest of his tenure
Send his children to the public school nearest to the Imo Government House
Henceforth he and his family get ALL their healthcare from the Government health facilities in Imo state.
Stops using generator in Govt House and depend 100% on NEPA/PHCN

Then, and only the, can he be truly with the masses.

PoliticsRe: Should Death Penalty Be Prescribed For Corrupt Persons? by Novice1(m): 4:26pm On Jun 14, 2012
Ijebulogic: Only God has the right to give or take life. Ans lets be honest, corruption is so endemic that the executioners will be very busy my dear friend. What will work however is the following: The worst thing you can do to a man who craves riches and relevance is to make him poor and irrelevant. Corrupt officials should get 21 years imprisonment and given public manual labour assignments so school children and tourists can come and watch former ministers and governors wearing LAWMA outfits and sweeping the streets. Sometimes death is to "easy" a punishment when compared to 21 years of public ridicule. Having said all the above, I still do not understand why for example, Bernie Madoff has been sentenced to life imprisonment while our corrupt bankers here plea bargained and are still flying 1st class and living a life of luxury? The system is beyond repair!
Most reasonable logic.
Death penalty is too lenient for people like, say, the bank thieves that have ruined investors' and despositors' lives; or the so called elders that fuel violence to serve their sinister agendas.

AutosRe: Understanding A VIN Report: A Detailed Explanation by Novice1(m): 4:03pm On May 31, 2012
Great work Inspired.

Fact is, to buy a blue title vehicle in the the US, import it into Nigeria and clear it paying all the legal dues, you cant sell that vehicle at prevaiing market prices and make a profit.

Additionally, some damaged/collision vehicles can be rebuilt to near-pristine situations.
PoliticsRe: Newly Transferred To Gusau In Zamfara State.. Need Help! by Novice1(m): 6:07pm On May 24, 2012
Garba Audu: Gusau, along Zaria-Sokoto highway, a typical northern town, small, less crowded, less ambitious easy going people, erratic power supply but less harsh weather than most northern cities. Didn't know much about it, i only stopped by on my way to Sokoto (more urbanized). But heard that crime rate is very low, only small time thieves/ burglars. You don't have to be scared of Gusau, only worry about the highway leading to d town. Though a smooth road, bandits are kings there especially during market days in some surrounding villages. Most of the robbers are herdsmen and amazingly ur southern brothers (apology). Though boko haram have extended their tentacles to Zamfara, Katsina, Sokoto & Kebbi, you should stay alert & watch ur moves in any part of northern Nigeria. Even though most of us (muslims) beleive that boko haram is more of political power play than religious bigotry. My advice to you, don't reject the offer. Give Gusau a 3 month trial, if its not ur kind of town u can resign & return to ur more turbulent south. Best of luck. Allah bada sa'a.
Couldn't have said it better. You, Sir , have earned my respect

PoliticsRe: Newly Transferred To Gusau In Zamfara State.. Need Help! by Novice1(m): 4:50pm On May 24, 2012
As long as you keep to yourself, and dont go out of your way to insult Islam/Hausas, you should be OK, because that is wht causes trouble to many non-indigenes living in the North.

As for a christian-dominated area in Gusau, I dont Know of any (and mind you, I know Gusau like the back of my hand. CHristians are scattered across the town because it is largely peaceful.

The few infrequent skirmishes happen around election times, even then only between opposing party supporters.

You might want to be extra vigilant/careful during election seasons.

bissalla: Whether walmart or Shoprite or what, I don't give a damn, as for us in Lekki Phase 1, its Ebeano Supermarket all the way. The guy who started in a duplex has opened the largest supermarket in the estate. With the opening of his new mega store, most Lekki Phase 1 residents are shying away from Shoprite cos Ebeano is cheaper.
I think we must encourage our own people to create jobs instead of bringing in these foreigners who will make our brothers and sisters slaves.

Ebeano all the way.
which one be ebeano again? I live not far frm lekki phase one and dont know of its existence.

parochial tribalism/sectionalism,
"me-first" syndrome
indiscipline everywhere
etc

mind you, these ills exist in other societies, but not to the scale and destruction they have in nigeria
