This is how it starts...as a rumor. Next you will hear him saying people are calling on him to continue on his third term. O God Almighty....... we need your intevention in Nigeria. |
Richfella: Bro your argument is very lopsided. So our government officials do not watch DSTV, buy rice, cement, kerosene, pay rents etc. And of course they don't make phone calls too.I get what you are saying, but if you are an average Nigerian like me, you pay for all those services from your pocket/salary. But those guys? the govt pays for all these,so they dont feel the pinch. It is only the flights that eat into their pockets because of their constant junketing all over the world. |
Why do you only hear these govt officials barking when it is about a matter that concerns them? What about the exploitation by telecoms firms? What about DSTV? What about cost of rice? What about cost of cement? What about astronomical rents? what about dangote's monopoly? Fuel price nko? kerosene fa? All this one is not of concern to them, they are shouting themselves hoarse over flight fares. Wetin concern Agbero wit overload? fm7070: make this boko-haram no give US change to come nad loot our oil ooooooooooooYou say? What do you think they have been doing for over 50 yrs now? With Exxon and Chevron? Of coure with connivance of unpatriotic Nigerians. |
The American, nay global film audience is so sophisticated and discerning that mere shooting of Drama (nollywood style) will not go anywhere on the world stage (I agree some west Africans "appreciate" nollywood. So to do real film production, u have to spend real money. Take the example of James Cameron's "Titanic": He had to build a 3/4 scale model of the ship, construct a big water tank/ pool by the beach to accommodate the ship, hire hundreds of stunt men and even sponsor a research expedition to the depths where the original Titanic lay in the bowels of the North Atlantic, not to talk of restoring the prop Titanic to near-1912 decor, at times using actual items recovered from the original ship, and contacting actual companies that manufactured some of the items in 1912 (some of the companies were still in operation as at 1995-7, during the shooting of the film). Thats how Oscars are won. |
@ OP: Are u looking for that job? |
Why do you guys think Nigerian masses had to pay more at the petrol staion at the beginning of the year? They need to generate more money for their luxury!! |
Obviously fighting to retain his seat because of the impending cabinet reshuffle. At times it seems Nigeria is cursed with the shallowest of brains in leadership positions. |
While not condoning the despicable act that happened 29 years ago, I want to ask the OP why it took her this long to expose him: 1-Is he now a very rich man (politician, corporate/religious leader, etc) and you want a very big settlement? 2-Why give us information piecemeal, that you will later publish his name, facebook details, etc? a blackmail/bargaining chip to make him pay you a huge amount? |
TOM & JERRY is the cartoon of all time!!!!! |
amtheone:AND truth be told, you dont need to get vaccinated to get a Yellow Fever certificate in Nigeria. Just send the necessary naira and your certificate will be ready. |
Unfortunately in Lagos/Most of Nigeria these days, smart = dishonest, lying, ready to grab undue advantage, ability to take wht is not yours by conning, swindling, and ability to steal govt/ corporate funds undetected. |
shagaman:I thought as much. This boy is a good candidate for future armed robbery, yahooism, cultism, and everything that is a product of bad parenting. |
It is just a sign of mental deficiency. They think they have to make others inconvenient for their worth to be established. And we have ineffective laws/enforcement to stop it. |
sunkoye:How do you compare that to the billions being spent on criminals in the name of militants? |
HATERS GONNA HATE!!! YOU CAN HUG THE TRANSFORMER, JUMP INTO THE LAGOON, OR BETTER STILL, INTO YOUR CREEKS ![]() |
Why lash at the poor soul after his death? is he the only person that "will twist the truth and distort reality in order to achieve his goals"? Tell me how many business/political leaders are exempt from this? very few. It is an undisputable fact that Mr. Jobs revolutionalised the tech industry along with his colleagues at Apple, introducing game-changing and paradigm-shifting gadgets like th iphone, ipad, etc. I sense a smear campaign from either or all of Android,BB and Symbian Chaps. Allow the man to rest in peace, jare. |
This thing called toto, The downfall of many great men. |
This woman has completelty rubbished herself. From a superhero anti-fake drugs darling to a political underdog trying to reap where she did not sow. Anty dora, go back home, take car eof your husband and children, and maybe establish a corner store chemist to keep busy ![]() |
ochukoccna:And Dora Akunyili Reuben Abati Jega |
yam:Typical street upbringing. I will not dignify your posts with further responses. |
Arupu:Not all Malams are born equal gaddafe:My brother, that is how I see it. Lets not forget in a hurry how the likes of Dora and Abati joined thegovt and transformed overnight. And come to think of it, was Ribadu not used by the Ota Baboon to witch hunt political foes during his tenure? |
bucho:It may interest you to know I am not interested in those "positions". I am content with just being myself and impacting others positively needing only DIVINE rewards. and for you and the holder of that "position" you worship so tenaciously, will the "position" make you immortal? |
Sentiments aside, the man's words have some substance. We tend to "deitify" some people unneccessarily b/c they achieve a status many could have achieved given the same opportunity/circumstances. Take the average deprived Nigerian child off the streets and take him to a functional society and expose him to world-class education, he may turn out better than some of the guys we "deitify". It is a case of the one-eyed man being the king. |
Why all the grammar? Just say you have "come to chop", Nigerian politician style-- AGIP (Any Govt In Power) syndrome. |
moremi2008:NO, THE REAL SHOCKER IS HOW HE GOT EMPLOYED IN A JOB AS CRITICAL AS A MEDICAL DOCTOR IN A GOVT INSTITUTION WITHOUT BEING DETECTED |
consultans:Go to Qatar and become a slave labourer on minimum wage and maximum disgrace: squalid living conditions (up to 30 people to a flat), zero rights, threat of deportation at the slightest provocation, treatment like rubbish by indigenes, etc. |
Ikwikwikwi:Seconded. They are just a bunch of over bribed, overfed, ego-bloated illiterates not far from NURTW touts. Most of the NUPENG leaders are just after bribes and settlement. I speak as an insider. Last Year my company's truck was arrested by LASTMA. I approached the NUPENG excos to intervene and they demanded a bribe of N 100k to intervene in the release the truck from LASTMA. ANd this is not to talk of an assortment of obnoxious levies/fees they levy on members everyday (enforced by threats/intimidation) |
executinal:I have decent parents that gave me excellent upbringing; I dont engage in insults. I am above that. ![]() |
executinal:why all the tirade against "Abokis"? Are you not ashamed that at the slightest provocation, you find a convenient bashworthy group of people to descend on? Get a life, man. |
He looks like a beggar beside the Emir of Kano |
