Tracking day 11, working day 7. Still got my fingers crossed, hoping for the best, gram:hmmm, situation sounds precarious. 10yrs ago is just 1999. that they dont still have records of 10 yrs ago, ? I wouldn't bet my best pair of boxers on that. See, the British and indeed all western countries are kind of meticulous with records, yeah, they dont joke with it at all! I remember a lady had the same problem when I was applying for the new passport. Her passport had been sent to Nig Immigration because BHS suspected her of impersonation. She claimed she had visited the Uk often and wondered what the P was. It was only after she left that the immig officer explained that several other Nigerians would hav the same problem. Reason is because most peeps had used false info on their previous passports and only come out to regularise the info with the advent of the e- passport. this discrepancy however shows up on the British database. How do you think they get to catch long time criminals after so many years? You should be a lil careful oh, no be naija system we dey talk! |

Bleeding gum is definitely the beginning of gum disease (periodontitis). Its called gingivitis. Believe me, I had this condition for quite some time. It got so bad that at times while talking people would ask what the problem was with my gums, as it would bleed. First things first, you need to see a dentist weneva u can. then make sure you use a soft brush with round-ended bristles. Most people erroneously think brushing with a hardbrush keeps the mouth cleaner. You should also make sure you floss at least twice daily - preferably before going to bed. Flossing helps remove plaque (that creamy film of bacteria that usually stick to the teeth) in difficult to reach areas. Your gum should bleed the first few times u floss but subsequently, with consistent flossing, the bleeding would stop. You should also use an antiseptic non alcoholic mouth wash. personally, I wouldn't use Listerine. I learnt this the hard way. The alcohol content is just too much. It ends up drying the oral cavity. You wanna know what that amounts to? Halitosis! bad breath to the power of ten!! Do you stay in Nigeria? It shouldn't be difficult getting a dental floss in Nigeria; any good pharmacy should stock 'em. I personally bought the one I am using in Abuja and I've seen them in departmental stores both in Abj. and Lagos. I guess these few tips should help. |
@kadman, thanks for ur earlier reply. I actually had N1.4m in my own account- which is just a little above the required maintenance fee. I've included my dad's statement with it; it's a little above N4m. I guess that would suffice. Okay, so I submitted my visa application on Thursday, 3rd September. Its been 4 full days and 2 working days. Guess I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed and wish the Abuja application centre would be faster than Lagos. Hey! is there a direct flight to Aberdeen, ? or do I have to fly to London and then pick a train to Aberdeen? Just feeling confident my application will come through, you know? a mans gotta be prepared now-with the cold weather gear and stuff- u know what I'm saying, *grins* |
