ikooko:In my opinion, I think it doesn't matter who drums this into our ears (be it the devil himself) since it appears we have become dull of hearing! kulutempa:I do get your point , 'Individual brilliance and collective stupidity' (Shakes head!) Sometimes I still do wonder in my own fantasy, isn't all we need just a group of renegade politicians whose sole allegiance is to the welfare of the people? I mean like , just chance upon that 4 year mandate and step on whoever's f***in toe you need to step on, and fix just one bloody problem , say power, for instance. Heck , ! and this has to be so difficult! My apologies, just fantasizing. |
The irony never ceases to amaze me. On the one hand, you have the hardworking, resourceful, never-say-die Nigerian. On the other, you have Nigeria: a country so inefficient, bloated and inept! How it is the resourceful Nigerian and the inept Nigeria can't get things working continues to puzzle me. It does appear the average Nigerian is often ahead of his society. Well, we just might have to make a mental note to distinguish between Nigerians, and Nigeria as a country. Still doesn't explain the disparity though. |
"Perfume is a dish best sprayed cold" - Roja Dove My pick: Green Irish Tweed (GIT) by Creed. [This is the one some claim Davidoff copied to produce the ever popular Cool Water.] Eau Sauvage by Guerlain Azzaro pour homme by Azzaro Vetiver by Creed Cigar by Remy Latour Anyone who's really into perfumes can check this website:http://www.basenotes.net/content/ Here you'll get to meet some real perfume aficionados, or do I call them connoisseurs? |
To be honest, I think this is a fairer pic of Omotola without make up. I mean, you cant compare Gene, looking all tidied up (out and about for the evening), with omotola, clearly on set for a movie, who's got God-knows-what smeared on her face , ?! My vote: Omotola = more beautiful Gene = more sex appeal

JeSoul:While the Scottish accent may be one of the most 'unsexiest' around, it happens to sound quite funny (that if you understand what they are saying). I bet they'll make good comics ![]() |
[flash=480,390] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PzbvPa5npmo&feature=player_embedded[/flash] Saw this video on fb, and since then, I've watched it over and over - can't help but laf at the humour. ![]() |
Well, not too bad. Guess it's because I'been in Aberdeen for about two years now. Still, I find the Glaswegian accent kinda thick. LOL , ! |
[quote author=Musiwa, link=topic=683039.msg8455150#msg8455150 date=1307212318]because most members of the nigeria army support my plan to save life. look they are the one who are going to victim of this. and they will kill him if he does not play along, they dont give a poo. because he is risking the life of 150 million in a civil war. You see over 70% of nigeria are lock out in this show. and many of them are upset. the 3 major tribe are yorubas, igbo, hausa/fulani, which are over 70% of the nigeria population. and they are all piss off at this moment. and when a president have the confident of less than 30% of his nation. he lost out. that why I can tell you some people ran for election that knows me. so that it will be easy to pull this said area out of nigeria. to show you. every state governor in edo, delta and yorubaland will agree. I know so. You can see what they are doing to the governor of ogun state, a supporter of Jonathan. he ran away. most of the supporter of jonathan already ran away. because people are mad at the moment in Nigeria. and other governor too. It boils down to either his selfishness or the life of millions of nigerian. It is a hard decision, but he has to make it, to remove edo, delta and yorubas , if not the north will never agree to the satellite picture. you can see them bomb people. I can tell you. like BBC said. those bomb came from members of the nigeria army, I am 100% sure. that why the Yoruba members of the nigeria military also are reading this , they also took this picture to show solidarity to my causes to save the lifes of 150 millions. it is tearing the army apart. 99% of the Yoruba people in the army seen the satellite pictures, will never support Jonathan Goodluck one Nigeria. Igbo in the army 99% will not support jonathan One nigeria because of the satellite picture. 99% of the hausa/fulani. will never support one nigeria. This satellite pictures are tearing our lifes as a people. I am telling you, the Yoruba in the nigeria military took this pictures to prove a point that the USA went to space. May be Obama can take Jonathan to the space centre and see for himself. You see in nigeria, they do not believe people can go to space. they think is Hollywood film. this is why we have problem. the nigeria army are going to be victim of a civil war. do you know anyone who want to die for Jonathan or one nigeria. Nobody. if he does not remove edo, delta and yoruba, the military has no choice than take over from him. Because he will be failing to protect the life of civilian 150 million. it is a hard decision to take.[/quote]Coherence? Dont quite get it but it sure does crack me up! ![]() |
Wetin no dey cause cancer? microwave ovens, burnt toast, even garri!!!!! ![]() |
Not bad! not bad at all!!!! |
Well, you guys should be rest assured there'll be enough space for new peeps. My dad and a couple of older senior CBN staff are retiring this month, infact, he has been on leave and is due to retire as soon as he resumes on the 18th of june. All things being equal, successful candidates may likely be called this month, or thereabout (this is pure speculation on my part as I have no privy knowledge of the recruitment process.) |
Dear Lord! saw the news on Channel 4, dinn realize she was even Nigerian , ! Too bad. |
violent:Well, it might be easier for you to believe if you get to know a thing or two about a thing or two. To quote the OP, he says when Mutallab was subdued, he 'offered no resistance and was docile.' The dude was apparently 'staring into nothing' while his balls were on fire! Now, who in his right mind does that? Add that to the fact that, as it is claimed, the dude got on the flight 'without a passport'; eye witnesses reporting that a man actually stood up and 'videotaped the entire thing, very calmly' and the dude's insistence on defending himself, then you probably might get the tingling sensation of a set up. Ever heard of Project Monarch? or Project MKUltra? if you have, then you'd probably understand what is called 'mind control' and why Mutallab was 'staring into nothing'. 'Trauma based mind control' is real and has been admitted by US govt. agencies through declassified US govt. documents (just google 'Project Monarch' or 'Project MKultra' , voila! welcome to Alice's rabbit hole.) When you begin to understand the evils and capabilities of mind control, then you'd probably realise movies like the Bourne Trilogy (Bourne Identity, Bourne Ultimatum and Bourne Supremacy) and 'Shutter Island' are actually depictions of reality. |
Okay, lemme awaken an old thread. Jedi jedi is systemic candidiasis. You can google candidiasis/candida symptoms and see the similarities. hmmm, now I realize candida not only prevalent here in the developed countries, but in Africa as well. , just happen to make the connection! |
@iz2much, hold on strong Pardner. your visa is the next to be celebrated on NL. and soon after you've settled in the UK, you'll totally forget the whole visa wahala. we got ur back bruv. |

@everyone: Big thanks to all those who've made useful contributions. I think I'd just go with the Lebara mobile. makes a lot of sense if you really look at it -international calls are cheap and, with the number of friends currently on the network, the free Lebara to Lebara call is absolutely a slice of heaven, !? @kadman: thanks pardner. always timely wit ur posts. you wouldn't remember me now, would you? Well, you replied a post I made in the General UK inquiry thread. I had asked if I could apply for the visa without paying for accommodation and with just about GBP5490 in my account. you asked me to top up the account wit just a lil more sterlin notes. Well, I added my Pops statement of account and, voila, I'm in the UK now. |
So should I just ignore the Contract thingy? You guys seem to have ignored it completely. Someone was doing a good job trying to sell the idea to me , talk of some 300 or 600 free minutes or so, whats the deal? ![]() |

Why dont y'all hit the brake on these tribalistic gibberish. I dont give a rat's ass where anybody comes from, Abeg! this thread is meant to constructively discuss the whole Ibori bruhaha and not to engage in verbal kick-boxing. If u really get pumped at what anybody posts, then u can vent ur pent up tribalistic angst elsewhere. Lets sanitize this thread, ha ahn! ![]() |

justwise:Thanks man. I'm currently using a PAYG service from Nomi mobile- I actually had the SIM waiting for me in my Uni room. So far, the tarrif is okay. Its only 1ppm more expensive than Lebara- for calls to Naija, that is. Cant complain though. Or should I? Was only wondering if there was anything attractive in a contract line. overheard someone highlighting the seeming benefit of going for a Contract rather than a PAYG. Cant remember the details now. Just wanting some more info. |
So we finally got our visas, and now, we are in Her Majesty's territory. We then realize we've got lots of calls to make. yeah! international ones at that! So wat network's got the best deals? To wat sort of service do we subscribe, Contract or pay-as-you-go? If contract, do we subscribe to a sim-contract? or, will a phone-contract be our best bet? Nairalanders already in the UK, abeg! we need your informed advice, |
buteh:University of Aberdeen. Studying Oil and gas law. |
