ijawcitizen:
There are better ways to register your displeasure but anyways, my apologies.

I just got the correct storyline from my close friend who is a Kalabari historian.

He explained that Calabar was mistaken named by a Dutch cartographer who plagiarized a map he got from Portuguese source and mistakenly labelled the Efik area as Calabar. Meanwhile, the area labelled as Calabar in the Portuguese map is the Kalabari area. The said dutch carthographer never visited the Niger Delta.

He further explained the distinction between Old Calabar and New Calabar as thus: Old Calabar was Elem Kalabari ( Obu-Amafa) while New Kalabari was Torusaramapiri which was closer to the coast and better position for trade with the Europeans.

So you see, I was correct in most parts of my earlier write up esp the part where the Obong of Calabar claimed that the name Calabar is of European origin.
.

Akwa Akpa is the name the Europeans met and not for one single minute has Ijaws ever settled in Akwa Akpa.

Kalabari Ijaws were the original aborigines of what is known as Calabar today.

The Portuguese met the Kalabari natives in the town when they arrived around 1473.

It was from Kalabari that the Portuguese derived the term Calabar, It was when the Kalabari natives led by Opukoroye moved back to Elem Kalabari that Elem Kalabari became known as NEW CALABAR (from the Portuguese term Nova Calabari).

The current efik people in Calabar do not even know the origin of the term Calabar. When the Obong of Calabar was interviewed, he claim that Calabar is of Portuguese origin, meanwhile the Portuguese records show clearly they met Ijaw people led by Opukoroye in Calabar.

PoliticsRe: Map Of The Mission Objective Of Eastern Security Network (ESN) by nsiba: 6:29pm On Dec 18, 2020
ijawcitizen:
Do not be surprised when it finally becomes clear that supleme Lida Namadi Kano's ESN militia is not intended to defend igbos, but rather the reemergence of the cowardly igbo biafra military which did not carry out a single military expedition against the North they were at war with in 1967.

This militia is not intended to protect anybody against Fulani herdsmen and terrorists as they claimed but they are the very terrorists about to be unleashed on the Niger Deltans in another salvo of territorial expansion similar to that carried out by Ojukwu and his biafran militia against the people of the Midwest, Old Rivers & Old Cross Rivers which make up the restored Niger Delta region.

Instead of launching a military expedition against the North from Enugu, as every one was expecting in 1967, biafran forces were attacking Niger Delta people who were not at war with them. Not even a single biafran bullet was shot in the North!

Do not expect anything different from these current bunch of ESN militia (cousins of Fulani expansionists) as the MAP BELOW reveals.

I strongly believe in the ability of our Niger Delta fighters, the very incarnates Greet Adaka Boro to put these pests in their place....

Fatbay, you are trying to learn but remain in stack ignorance. In your first foray into the crap about Eyo Ita, you claimed he was a speaker of Eastern Regional House of Assembly . Till now, you have not figured the position of Eyo Ita when the section of Southern Protectorate was not even a region. It is an irony you called out people who are ordinarily better than you as goats. It then means goat is better than you. Again Fatboy, what is your ethnicity? A person who is ashamed of the hallmark of his\her forbearers does not deserve a life.
.

That he wasn't BETRAYED by Tribal sentiments by the Igbo's after Azikiwe ran down to East after losing out in the west, is that a LIE or not?
PoliticsRe: A Question For All Niger Deltans by nsiba: 2:26pm On Dec 18, 2020
BigBabyJesus:
Nothing has changed and you igbo goats have not seen why you were rightly rejected by the so-called minorities in the defunct SE.

Because of Igbo arrogance and domineering tribalism, western cameroun opted to leave Nigeria all together.

Have you forgotten how Igbo arrogance saw to Eyo Ette being forced to resign his post so that the deflated and rejected Zik could get a position in the eastern house after Awo staged a cross carpet move to deny the NCNC leadership at both the western and federal house?

When the so-called minorities wanted their own region separate from you just as the then Mid West was carved out from the defunct western region what did you Igbos do at the eastern assembly ? Block any call for referrendum among the minorities which forced them to take their aggitation to the federal Parliament which both the north and western region were in full support to grant. So what did you fools do to prevent COR region from being carved out from the eastern region? You staged a coup that saw the assassination and removal of the then PM and the two premiers of both the north and western region. You then imposed an Igbo general on the polity who passed decree 34 that saw to the forces unification decree and abolition of regional governance . All this because your greed to control the newly discovered oil reserves in the COR region.

When I tell you judases that you are a million times worse than the Fulani north and Yaribanza for being the bloody hypocrites who ushered in the zoo republic you are all complaining of because you lost out from the power play.

Now let's move forward.

After destroying regional assembly and consiladating all power in the hands of an Igbo military dictatorship composed mainly of Igbos, the so-called minorities in the eastern region under Isaac Boro decided it was better to leave Nigeria all together than live under Igbo oppression which they had first hand knowledge of. What did you Jew rats do? Send a military force commanded by Ojukwu to squash the rebellion.

When the north displaced you in a dog eat dog retalaitory coup one would have thought you will accept your fate and lick your wounds quietly but No! What did you do again? You decided to leave the same Nigeria you wanted to preserve via military decree 34 which your Ojukwu welcomed when Ironsi annonced it to the world.

Now nobody would have been bothered if you took your current 5 contigious Igbotic states and left for good but your greed for Niger Delta oil will push you to forefully annex same Niger Delta you prevented from leaving the shithole eastern region and for some daft reason expected their loyalty and support?

50 yrs after the end of the civil war you fools are yet to see your mistake and continue in your annexation plan of the Niger Delta while ridulcing the good people of the region.

Do you see why the average Niger Delta man will never ever want nothing to do with you?

I challenge you to declare an independent iIgbo nation within your 5 blighted states and see if any one will be bothered .

Yeye.

Your state to state comparison makes me laugh.

Even Ibadan is more developed infrastructurally than Rivers or any other state in the SS.

Ogun state to Akwa Ibom statehuh
Infrastructurally Ogun state is more developed than any state in the SS.
I don't have to continue but the facts are there.
SW has always been the most developed part of Nigeria.
Even when Lagos was the capital of Nigeria,Ibadan became the richest and most developed place in Nigeria.

I'll give it to lagbaja. His music are more captivating, better beats and rhymes to put you in a dance mood. Even if you no dance you go dey shake head.

Give fela 10 mins to sing a song, he will use the first 5 mins for rythymless beats, 2 mins for lyrics wey no get meaning and the last 3 mins for another round of rhythmeless beats.

Lagbaja was way better in my opinion.
