One thing I know for sure is that the embassy is following the queue accordingly, except for few cases. Secondly, your new passport won’t be a problem, provided you go along with your old passport which has the passport number that was used for your appointment booking. Without your old passport, you will be asked to cancel and rebook your appointment. Good luck omoniyi289: |
My spouse is a German living in Germany, I haven’t heard anything from the embassy since my verification was done. My spouse has also not been contacted. I think there is a backlog or reason for delay. However, I am waiting patiently. buckkie: |
Ajereh01:You may need to change your wedding date and leave it opened, your visa application take between 3 to 6 months before you get a decision from them. |
Yes you need to go with the verification and visa application fee all in cash. Only 500 and 1000 denominations are accepted. Ensure you sort all your documents carefully and make wo copies of each before going there. You don’t require a travel insurance at this stage, the embassy will contact you if they need you to provide one in future. Good luck to you. Richard00000: |
Thank you very much Knogbu for this information. knogbu: |
Hello please for those who’s documents have been verified, did it take a long time before you got the verification mail and please did you get any mail regarding the return of your original documents? |
Hello please did you submit an A1 certificate on your appointment date? I’m wondering if they will process the application of those who’s A1 certificate had expired or had not taken the exam or they would place the application processing on hold for this reasons. brendybliss1: |
They will accept your application without the A1 certificate, but will ask you to provide it on a later date. Richard00000: |
Verification successfully done, those waiting for theirs should be well prepared for questions when a lawyer visits them. Good luck guys |
Yes it is, as long as it is valid. Firstlady001: |
Ooops...I guess some questions we ask here and response we get here are too sensitive and probably against the rule of this platform. I observed nairaland deleted some questions and responses recently made here. Apologies to the authorities. Good luck to all applicants. |
Hello Nolia, did he call you before coming to you? I’m just wondering when he would come, I just wish I will be at home when he visits for verifications. Please what were the questions he asked or what did he do when he visited you? @nolia66 |
You can apply, but the issue is your husband’s financial state and his accommodation, those are key points the issuing authority looks into before granting such visas. So think twice before giving it a try. amygal01: |
Please note that if your passport is reissued for any reason, the number changes, since the embassy always take a copy of your passport, I suggest you start necessary step in making corrections, and also mention it during your interview. Good luck to you Acisky: |
No contact has been made yet. Not to me nor my spouse. I have no idea when contacts will be made. knogbu: |
It’s advisable to say unknown, however no one knows when the visa application review will be completed, it’s also expected that the applicant don’t know if he or she would want to stay less than 24 months in Germany. Irunma: |
They collected all of mine, Except for my driver license and international passport. I don’t know when they will send them back to me. buckkie: |
Swear an affidavit for a missing original copy, then go with the Print-out copy you have. Mind you, they do the verification on WAEC website with the information provided. Fabulousaify: |
Come to think of it...it’s even better you get an appointment date, submit your application before seating for the A1 exams, because if you go for the certificate first and then your appointment comes a year later, the certificate becomes automatically invalid again. Ah being a Nigerian is stressful ooo ![]() |

He will guide you on how to should sort your documents, but ensure you have made all necessary photocopies and go with your self addressed envelope from DHL, if your documents are not complete, getting them from those guys there will cost you a lot. And oga Paulinus might give you an extra time that may not favor you. But if all your documents are intact, you will get a smooth sail. They will collect your application even if your A1 certificate is more than one year, but you will be required to rewrite the exams knogbu: |
Thanks for this information, I always roam when I’m not in Nigeria. So I am on the safe side. Ahmed4002: |

Yeah You are right. Do you or anyone have an idea with regards to how the layer will contact me; will he or she call or send an email? Do I need to be at home if he will be visiting? As I will be making an international trip on the 4th of August. As I just don’t want to frustrate my application and verification process for any reason. Ahmed4002: |

There’s no other documents other from the ones stated on their websites, however, I was issued a single entry tourist visa before and now I applied for multiple entry visa and I was issued with a 1 year multiple entry visa. Just tender the documents listed on their website and wait for positive result. Good luck sirrotex: |
