Bonn2007: Just so you understand what I’m trying to say, you can call a million times, send a thousand email, or even write a billion letter to their post box, those people take their time, and they operate on a first come first serve basis, only on exceptional cases, of course they don’t see these applications as urgent. Now take a look at these calendars, the only available days you are seeing are in July with dates underlined, every other dates are not available, the last time I check, most of the now available dates in July was not available, I guess some persons may have canceled or changed appointment date. On a normal work day, these people goes on break by 12 and resume by 3pm, August is even the worse month as majority of them have gone for holidays, (dem no send you), the only few remaining staffs continue work with pace. They won’t let you even pressure them. The earlier you understand this, the easier your peace. Otherwise you will just be getting agitated unnecessarily. Again, good luck guys.

Bonn2007:Since you live in Germany, you should Atleast know better that things takes time, I advise the poster to be patient, while her husband can only send mails or call them after each time. I have been waiting for an appointment for PR for more than 3 months. The times you had yours was probably before the war started between Russia and Ukrain, since those times, appointments takes longer in most offices. However, Essen is a city filled with lots of foreigners adding to the fact that they are under employed, these are some of the reasons for delays. Good luck to everyone waiting. 2 Likes |

Those seeking for short visa appointment can drop their email, full name as starting with surname followed by first name and middle name and passport number here, I will try to help when I find one, I usually see appointments because I refresh the website while I’m at work at night. But which ever date I chose for you, you must be willing to attend it or try to cancel within 3days if you can’t make it. Ps. Do not dm me, I won’t reply, I am not an agent and I’m not charging anyone for this. And of course I will NEVER contact you. 2 Likes |

KingXXI:If you are going to submit the travel insurance in person, just take a plain white paper and write your intended travel date on it and attach to the envelope. If via email. Write the dates the body of the message and attach your travel insurance e.g Intended travel date: 30/June/2023. You must give a space of three weeks from the day you would submit to the day you are traveling. Good luck and congratulations |

dpamou: dpamou: dpamou: Most of the lawyers are now doing social work in the UK through study visa. Gone are the days when they have lots of lawyers available to take up the job of verification. Insecurities are also cause of delays too. If dem hold German lawyer for ransom na his family dey responsible o, not German embassy, so everyone is using their brain. The lawyer that verified me said he’s no longer practicing, he’s looking for visa to travel now. 2 Likes |

Mopricelezz: My case is similar to yours, you only need to give details of the last school you attended. Do not bother going to meet the school even if they are still existing, they will wil try to extort you like in my case, I left the lawyer to search by himself and when he could not, he reach out and I explained the school had relocated. He found the new address online and went there, the principal or proprietor request for 100k and the lawyer walked away. I got a verification email the next week that all was fine. 1 Like |

pseudonomer:Sir/Madam, why did you opt in for an integration course when you think you can do without German language ? And are you also going to write your exams and take your classes in English ? Don’t be deceived or try to deceive anyone. If you plan to have your life in Germany, you MUST learn German. And by the way, I have only been in Germany for 14 months and my language level is okay. My aim is to apply for a permanent residency before I spend 3 years here in Germany, therefore I’m currently attending a politics class. Don’t screw your chances!! 2 Likes |

JahBwoy:You are completely right. Until you find yourself where you would have to require adequate knowledge of German. Then you will understand better. Even if where you work they communicate in English, is your Arbeitsvertrag also written in English ? Have you been to the government offices? Did you find it difficult understanding the documents you were given to sign? Do you prove your rights in English ? I lived in Berlin, where there are a lot of foreigners and people who can speak English until I got a mouth watering job in a location where the people only speak and understand German. When I did my driving test, first aid training and other government lessons I have taken, I didn’t find it difficult as it could have been for someone without any German knowledge. 3 Likes 1 Share |

To everyone here planning to come to Germany, wether you require the A1 certificate or not, try ti be learning German o. You will still require both A1 to B1 when you arrive here, no matter what visa type you came with. You will find it difficult to work without knowledge of German. Everything would suddenly be scary to you. 3 Likes |

Akhinoz: I don’t know much, I only know I saved myself stress of carrying too much when I was traveling to Germany for the first time, you can carry any solid food items provided they are not fresh, they should either sun dried, fried or roasted. Package them well and you can travel with them in any bag you can check in, never in a hand luggage. But avoid liquid stuffs. That’s the far I know. |

AmisOsas: Tick yes for your answer. They won’t ask you for insurance certificate during interview, they will only ask for it when your visa had been approved, then you can get a 90 days visa and take up a long term insurance when you arrive the country. No one can legitimately live in Europe without an insurance and the embassy knows that. |

adeinfinit: An apostille is a document(certificate) that shows a particular document is authentic. If the document is issued by a Nigerian institution, I heard it’s done in Abuja, I’m my case, I got married in South Africa and my documents was certified by the directorate of foreign affairs. |

My advice is don’t don’t bother doing this, it’s a waste of money, either ways you will get the visa, in my case, my spouse almost did that, but the cost was just unreasonably high. Hence we skipped it. We ended up registering our marriage in our city when I arrived without the said cost. Like someone had said, it only changed the status from single to married and doesn’t influence or facilitate your application in any way. Sorry in my opinion I don’t see how it does. MolecularSponge:She doesn’t owe you that much explanation. People’s case differs, she tried to even explain this far, there are even possibilities that she could get German citizenship before her husband. The key thing there was translating her university documents and yes it was accepted by the German government as it meets a certain criteria for them and secondly she got her language certificate up to C1. Common, she gave it a whole lot and she got it. Some of us would have preferred taking up mini jobs and believing the 1,400 they earn is a jackpot. Such people ends up spending a longer time before qualifying for neutralization. 1 Like |

Mrbigman1:I have nothing to argue in this case, how many Cameroonian can you point that had their within three months? Let me show you also Nigerians that got their fast, the cases differs based on individual situations. I can also censor a chat with a colleague who had been fighting to get his Mexican wife to Germany for more than 2 years. Our government are behind those challenges we face. Mind you South Africans has a different case because they signed a treaty with the European countries on Apostille Convention that is The Hague Convention of 5 October 1961 (Abolishing the Requirement of Legalisation for Foreign Public Documents). Please visit The Hague Conference on Private International Law to read more. This is why it’s easy to verify documents from such countries, but in others cases, they have to send a representative to manually verify those documents like that from our country Nigeria. Pointing out to Nigeria alone makes no sense in my humble opinion. 1 Like |

mercy444:I have a colleague here in Germany who is from Tanzania and has been trying to bring his wife to join him, they face the same problem. Truth is Germany do this to everyone National that are not from the US, Switzerland, the UK and other European countries. It’s not just to Nigerians only. And it’s mandatory for other Nationals that are not native German speakers to undertake their integration courses before residing fully in Germany. |

Josinobirian:I saw a comment where someone said he or she got a contact that helped with fast track, that’s a big lie and potential scammer(s) at work. Do not follow up with such person, else you will lose your money. Some persons have contacted me to know if I did anything fishy during my time, I always make it clear, right from getting my appointment to lawyer visitation and getting my documents back with visa, I did not offer or find anyone who asked for money, not even the lawyer that visited, in fact with the lawyer I was even careful not offering him water to drink, for it not to appear like a bribe. My only worry was that they collected visa fee from me while my spouse was a German National. Which now doesn’t matter to me. Beware of scammers out here!! |

QueenieDar:With a visitors visa to Germany, I can’t really advice rather, I can encourage you to give it a try. I guess Germany tends to be very difficult in this case. Before I join my wife, I applied for a touristic visa three times between 2017 and 2019 with strong ties to Nigeria which includes but not limited to C of O to my house, my business and tax documents, letters of good conduct and recommendations from both my former bosses and socialites, a serving member of one of the political party in Germany who happens to be a member of my club (Rotary international) also gave me a letter of recommendation but they still find reasons to deny me the visas. Their reasons are always that they are not convinced I will return back. Since I joined my wife, I have not spend complete 8 months in Germany, so I don’t know what their reasons can be. They have coconut head. Just give it a try and stay on the positive part. Good luck. |

Richard00000:Two things are involved, have you relocated from the address you used when submitting your application? Are you using the same phone number? If you have moved and your phone number had changed, the courier will find it difficult to contact you. In my case, they called me that they’re on their way to deliver my docs. So be sure of these. |

Atopet:I strongly used the word FAKING, because a realized about 60 to 70 percent of Nigerians are anti-vac. And yes, I flew Lufthansa from Frankfurt to Lagos and Lagos to Frankfurt in September/October without a request for PCR test, upon return a passenger was held because she had a fake certificate with her. Well I don’t know what happened with her after all. But then you must realize that I am sorry don’t solve the problem when caught, that was what I heard her telling the police on that day. Mind you, I work in a Krankenhaus and I have heard of people who are not Nigerians reporting to be fully vaccinated, upon check, you will discover they have no antibodies in them. Hence I advice no faking, it’s safer to get the PCR test done. |
