Atopet:I strongly used the word FAKING, because a realized about 60 to 70 percent of Nigerians are anti-vac. And yes, I flew Lufthansa from Frankfurt to Lagos and Lagos to Frankfurt in September/October without a request for PCR test, upon return a passenger was held because she had a fake certificate with her. Well I don’t know what happened with her after all. But then you must realize that I am sorry don’t solve the problem when caught, that was what I heard her telling the police on that day. Mind you, I work in a Krankenhaus and I have heard of people who are not Nigerians reporting to be fully vaccinated, upon check, you will discover they have no antibodies in them. Hence I advice no faking, it’s safer to get the PCR test done. |
Akby:Offer to resume work or school? They are both different things entirely, I and others may need clarity to advice where possible |
heybaby12:Except this changes came effect since Nigeria was declared a high risk area, but on my last trip in October, I boarded from Lagos without PCR test result, just my vaccination certificate was checked, I also did not get to fill out passenger locator form. Travelers are always adviced to check with their airlines when booking |
arsenalthugangel:Until now, Fully vaccinated passengers “DO NOT” need a PCR test to enter Germany. As long as your vaccination documents are authentic, you don’t need a PCR test. The border controls verify you certificate if it’s not issued in Europe. So please avoid faking it. That could lead to harsh punishment |
Richard00000:If you call the embassy they will tell you to contact the courier, when you call the courier, they won’t be able to help you without your tracking number which even if you still have it, it wont be valid anymore since it’s more than 6 months. When you are too in a hurry with hot blood, you can visit the embassy during working hours so that man at the gate can give you cold water to drink. But in all, I got my documents back within 21 days after submission. My advice is just be patient. You can book your ticket when you have gotten your visa. Your visa is usually 3months visa. |
Richard00000:This man be patient, the embassy needs 7 days to dispatch your documents to the courier without contacting you, your documents must have been with the courier, you just have to wait till they contact you. At this point, the embassy May not provide you with further information even when you email them. Just be patient. This was exactly my case. I had to relax till the courier called me. |
Josinobirian:You are only required to book for at least 90days |
Josinobirian:I used axa mansard insurance, it’s relatively cheap and also has offices in Germany. Good luck |
Chinny22:You are safe, they probably noticed something unusual with your first one. I had same case, mine was that my father used a signature different from what he had on his ID when the lawyer visited him during verification, so they sent me a mail saying it was fraudulent, I replied them to correct the mail and change their choice of word. Yes they did and requested a new affidavit, this time my mother made the affidavit as my father passed on few weeks after the lawyer visited him. So fear not, just get one of your parents to get you a new one. |
bamdexfarms:Relax, they will contact you. I had same case, and it too the embassy about two (2) weeks to contact me. |
Richard00000:It would be sent to you via courier with the self address envelope you submitted with your application. You won’t be allowed entry when you go to the embassy without any invitation. Start expecting your documents after seven working days from the day they received your passport and insurance. |
Atopet:1. You can’t convert your certificate anywhere, except you have taken the vaccine in that institution or hospital. 2. You can google certified translators in Germany. There are a lot of them. |
Josinobirian:They don’t accept soft copies. You need to send them the certificate issued from the Goethe Institute when you have it. That’s what they want. |
Josinobirian:I once had this problem in January this year, I had to travel to Turkey for the A1 exam, but the embassy sent me a mail when I arrived that they have arranged for me to take the test on a particular date at the Goethe institute in Lagos, I declined since I was already in Turkey. I booked for 3 exams for different dates in case I don’t make it in the first attempt in Turkey, luckily I passed the test on the first attempt there and forgo the others and then flew back to Nigeria to get the visa. Try and find out what options are available for you. In my case, it has felt like the embassy don’t even want me to make it to Germany because the conditions on their website states that if your spouse is a German, there’s an exception to A1 certificate requirements, which was my case, I drew their attention to that paragraph but they insisted. I wish you good luck in your try. |
curious123:It was basically all they asked for on the checklist, pictures of us together, how many times we have met in the past, copies of her visas and travel stamps, my employment documents, marriage certificate with apostille, translated copies of marriage certificate, and so others |
monchat:You can apply for it, but my advice is to use other Schengen countries, German has very strict rules for tourist visa these period. Especially now that they have started lockdown in most areas. |
Bro you have not explained anything, you have only tried to share your experience. I am privileged to have been to some African countries including South Africa, I have as well been to Turkey in question. I have been to the UK and by virtue of my residency in Germany, I have as well had a regular visit to some of the Schengen states. Non of these places has an easy life or easy opportunity for anyone. You still have to look out for what works or what favors you. Turkey for instance, I have a guy who comes to my lodge to cut my hair, he is at least living better than he could have if he was doing same in Nigeria. I know a few other guys who works at the mall, at least life seems better for them than it would have been in Nigeria. You were probably wishing for magic and when it didn’t come within your few months of stay, you got angry and labeled the country a bad choice for anyone. Let’s not talk of those into crime or prostitution there, I never encourage that. I speak of the few I know that are living out of their hard work. So let whoever wants to go there go and see for themselves. My best wishes to anyone no matter where you chose to migrate to. And yes, I have family members too who are better off living in Nigeria than overseas. Cheers feelgoodstuffs: |
ogify1:There’s hope, and chances for both student and touristic visa applicants, but avoid adding any fake documents. I have been to Turkey several times, I have never used a travel agent, not even for once, mind you my statement of account was not bogus but simply transparent. You can start building your statement of account with a borrowed fund for about 4 months and print your 6 months statement of account for your visa application. The embassy grants visas at their discretion. |
Prospective applicants must be careful of those redirecting them to chat personally on WhatsApp. Since this year, Turkey embassy in Nigeria has reduced the rate of visa approval wether for tourism or study. The rate of refusal is much higher than approval. No matter the packaging. I guess for internal reasons, they have chosen to deny a lot of Nigerians visa. Don’t let anyone cheat you. The success stories I have heard of are people who said they applied from other African countries. I don’t know how they did it. Ya all must protect your money from dubious people |
DHA10:The person can use Mowisa from Germany or AXA Mansaard, I used to think it was owned by GTB until I saw their office here in Germany. The health insurance can be for a maximum of 90 days starting from your day of departure from Nigeria |
Bonn2007:For language reasons which is a major issue in Germany, I would advice the UK. Haven been in Germany for about 2 months, I can say it’s not easy for people who don’t have comprehensive knowledge of German or don’t anyone who do. As all paper work done here are in German language. |
I understand that since the documents you are using to support your application are issued from Nigeria, they are most likely to send a lawyer for verification. Germany like most other countries don’t trust anything from Nigeria. They will check the neighborhood you grew up from and schools attended just to prove your identity. Good luck EkeneMiriam: |
pidgintutor:From my experience and that of persons I know, your passport is ready for collection, usually the embassy fix your visa to start counting on your travel date, so even if you get it now, you can’t travel until that day. Send them a reminder mail or call before 11:00AM on official days |
beatemp:If it’s more than 10 days since you submitted then your documents is either sent out via the courier envelope you dropped or waiting for you to pick up. Write the embassy to know about your documents, they will reply you. Send them a mail between 9:00AM and 11:00AM. |
beatemp:If the embassy actually made this appointment for you then you are lucky. And if you are sure of being in Berlin on that date, I advice you to take it, as I did not get a date on time, the appointment are quickly booked, accept it to avoid delays. Goodluck |
If you write them to ask if they received it, they won’t reply, but if they did not get it, you will surely get a reminder email from them in due time. Just relax and be hopeful. But in most cases, they receive every email sent to them. Good luck pidgintutor: |
beatemp:Yes it’s only your departure date you need to give them, but your departure should be minimum 7 days from the day you would submit it. |
Her expired passport is not a valid document, that man at the gate will show her pepper if she goes there with the expired passport. It’s a short term visa she’s applying for, so they would need to hold the passport, and it has to be valid for minimum 6months and with at least 3 empty pages. Sullyheart: |
The only way you can solve the A1 issue is to read and work hard to pass the exam, there’s no back door to it o. Work harder, you will make it. Richard00000: |
If you live in Lagos, then it’s better you take your documents to them yourself as that makes it faster for you. Congratulations because the last email you got from them was an indication that your visa has been approved, you are given your passport and insurance to get your visa sticker. pidgintutor: |
If it’s convenient for you, you can drop it off yourself that’s if you reside in Lagos, otherwise, it’s also safe for you to post it to them, I strongly advice you use DHL or UPS so you can conveniently check to know when it has been delivered, and then you can write the embassy to inform them that it has been delivered with date and who name of who received it. Note: write your intended travel date on any available space on your travel health insurance but make it like 2 weeks ahead considering that they need minimum 7 days from the date your passport was delivered and also consider the days it would also take for the courier to deliver your passport. Then also look out for your passport as the embassy would also send it back to you via the courier envelope you submitted during your application. Congratulations pidgintutor: |
Fabulousaify:I always advice and chose insurance providers from company in their country, it made it easy for me to getting the covid19 vaccine here. Find below the insurance company I used now and during my first visit to Germany. https://www.mawista.com/. |
