Wow! Thanks for tagging me. Now I need to check out "We Bled Together".
@Nuges
Larry is right. You have a beautiful perspective, a poetic heart, and you write wonderfully. The creative flow of thought is lovely. You are a romantic at heart. smiley
Even the technical makeup is precise. You told us what you were going to say. You told us, in a charming way, what you wanted to say. Then you told us again in your conclusion.
Brilliant! It is a pleasure to read your writing. I look forward to reading more from you. smiley

Thanks a bunch Texanomaly. The title of the story is 'We Bled to get Here', and there's a few others you might enjoy.

Nuges, you write so beautifully ('We Bled Together' is a collosal masterpiece). And I love your perspectives about things. I marvel at the clay by which your intellectual idol is moulded.

From what you've scribbled here, I can safely say that you're not only a brilliant writer of prose but also someone with deep poetic sense. I'm sure awesome poets like OMA4U and Texanomaly would agree with me.

Bless you, sir.

Cheers! smiley

Wow....these are the best words anyone has spoken/written to me in a long time, and coming from a man I respect so much makes it all the more amazing. Thank you Larry, thank you very much.

Theres beauty in every color. I don't have a favorite. Its the reason I enjoy graphic works (digital & every art) at my leisure

Thank you. My point exactly. I still don't understand how anyone can have a favorite colour when there's a myriad of beautiful ones

Most times when someone asks what my favorite colour is, I bend my head sideways and with a sheepish grin I say green. But almost right after that I’ll start feeling guilty. I mean, not that I don’t love the alluring beauty and tranquil serenity that exudes from green nature (and of course I’m proudly Nigerian), but who wouldn’t love the dark orange colour of sunset, or the refreshing deep-blue colour of the ocean.

I’m a man – yes, but I still find myself being immensely awed by the brilliance of the red colour of the Rose petal, and when I see how the sunflower glows when it catches the rays of the sun, I fall even more deeply in love with yellow. I love the sweetness and seeming innocence of pink, the sight of purple calms my nerves any day, and I could stare at white for the rest of my life because I find its purity contagious.

Unless I’m ready to part with my skin or at best ‘Michael Jackson’ it (I really hope my poetic license covers using his name as a verb), then I’m stuck with brown forever, and, say what you want about black, I actually find that colour deep. Yes, deep. It gives this impression that you could keep tearing through it without reaching its end, even when its painted on paper I still see it in 3-D. For me that signifies endless opportunities, limitless discoveries. Believe it or not, that colour actually forces out the adventurer in me.

This is why I don’t have a favorite colour, there’s just too many sweet ones to pick from. I’m something of an Oliver Twist when it comes to colours. Colours are beautiful, I believe they are the best things that ever happened to the world (after salvation that is). I have a crazy imagination, to some extent, but I just can’t imagine a world without colours. I say God bless God for making the world a colourful place.

I can’t say for sure, but it seems my irreparable inability to stay in one place without getting bored is beginning to take its toll on me on a larger scale; or maybe my insatiable gluttony eyes just crave new diet. One thing I know for sure however, is that I really dream to travel round the world. It makes me sometimes wish I had superpowers, maybe one that could make me go anywhere just by thinking about it. Trust me, there’s no limit to what I’d do if I had that power.

I’ll definitely swing with a rope all around Europe, but I won’t leave without leaving a mark in Denmark. I’ll probably obtain a gold chain in Britain, and I’ll really love a chance to take a glance of France. Sure I’ll play in the rain in Ukraine, maybe hook up with a pal in Nepal and endure the pain of a big stain in Spain.

I heard you can never have amnesia in Indonesia, some say you can’t go hungry in Hungary, they say it doesn’t rain in Bahrain, they even say you can’t sing a song in Hong Kong. I hardly believe them, but trust me, when they told me about Iran, I ran.

I’d love to take Kate and Dora to Andorra, go to Bolivia with Olivia, dance in my pyjamas in Bahamas, sing with Style Plus in Cyprus, and when I start feeling down, I’ll pick up what’s left of my zeal and head to Brazil. I’ll party with girls in Monaco, Morocco, Puerto Rico and Lesotho; wait, did I just leave out Kuwait?

You want to know if grease is really made in Greece, if Ayuba is in Aruba, if they sing fuji in Fiji, or you just want to know what exactly a barber does in Barbados? Oh I’ll tell ya, but first let me rob Gabon with a gun and run off to Djibouti with the booty.

Well, I’ll party in Haiti while I can, but I hope to dine with the Pope in the Vatican, and if I should pick up as much as a catarrh in Qatar I’m just gonna fly off and hope I land in Ireland. I’ll live quietly in Italy as long as nobody eats turkey in Turkey, everybody wears a tie in Thailand, nobody smokes tobacco in Tobago and everyone is a virgin in Virgin Islands.

Yes I want to travel round the world but since I’m still stuck here in Nigeria for now, all I can do is wish, and wish I will.

You can say we met in the oddest place
But these days, there aren't places like that anymore
God took a rib and gave you in its place
Truth is, I'm willing to give many more
You came like dew on a sunny day
Ignited my feelings in a funny way
I'm not a bee
But i'll do anything to make my honey stay
Amidst life's rife strife I found a wife
Call me lucky, but I've been waiting all my life
Let wishes exude flares and burn with the snares of mercy
So I can glow with this love, this love called Jeci

Let me, I pray thee, fly with the fishes
I dream to have a swim with the birds
Fill my ears with words about how it's mere wishes
To me, it's all story for the gods
Coz when you're in love, the top of Everest seems just a leap away
You're scared to rush, so you only kiss a lip a day
Like drugs to infants
Do me a favour, warn these hoes to keep away
Same day the dame came sparked a flame all in love's name
And since then the feeling won't leave, it's literally gone lame
Let it be known and get the word sewn on the hem of my jersey
So I can be dressed with this love, this love called Jeci

This is one very interesting story, although not with the kind of ending I expected from the beginning. Not even close. Great twist.

I however noticed the last few episodes didn't sound quite much like Mazi.
