Good day fam, my visa was delayed in lagos embassy yesterday 19th October, 2018 and below is my transcript.
Please advise and correct my flaws. I'm open to any form cos am already sick. Though, I intend to reapply soonest.

VO' Hi, pass me your i20 and passport
Me- Good morning, here you go
VO- why are you going to the US
Me- In going for my master's degree in Sustainability management at Illinois institute of technology in Chicago
VO- How do you intend to pay for your tuition cos it's expensive
Me- I have been working for 3 years. so I have savings and my uncle who is a successful poultry farmer and also a major distributor of poultry farm products in Ibadan, Oyo State will cater for the rest
VO- even the average American citizen can't foot the bill
Me- told her well, with my uncles sponsorship and my savings, I can afford it. She didn't request for any bank statement or anything. She replied I'm ineligeable for visa.

Sorry about that. But how much was the tuition fee on your I-20?

Hello all, I have good news. I haven't checked my visa status in a while, I decided to do so yesterday, and my status was 'ISSUED'! I equally received an sms and a mail yesterday asking me to go pick it up in dhl wuse 2, which I did this morning. I am short of words because just last week it was on REFUSED and today its been ISSUED. Thank you so much to everyone who gave me a listening ear on this platform. I really appreciate... PS: I'm going to the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, anyone there could chat me up.

I actually just finished booking an appointment date and i just noticed the school address i submitted during the ds 106 is different from the address on my I-20. The address i submitted during the Ds-106 was the address of the graduate admission of my school which is different from what i just noticed on my i-20.
This is the only thing i noticed and i dont know if it will have effect. If the VO ask during my interview, I'll tell him/her the truth but I'm scared becasue of the mistake.

Please can anyone share some light? Can this really have effect? I had every other thing correct.

I think you should be fine. Since the address you used is not of another school!

I called, and I was asked to send a mail. I did send a mail, and I received a response stating that my visa was refused under section 214(b) ( no close ties to home). I wasnt even asked any question in that area.
I was just asked 2 questions, and that was it. It's so unfair!

Don't let that weigh you down, try and reapply so u can still make spring semester.
Majority of people that got their visas has been denied once or twice before .

Hello all, I attended my F1 visa interview today. The officer said she was going to hold on to my passport and financial statements. Barely 30mins later, I checked my visa status on the site, and it showed refused. I'm confused because she still has my passport and documents.

My passport and statement were also collected in Abuja for verification and they issued it the third day

Bowie state university hardly gives funding, besides it doesn’t require any standardized tests so I doubt they will even give any funding without already being a continuing student

I wasn't given funding, but they said I can apply to be considered for in-state tuition!

Bro,you talk as If you are a student in that school.i got admission there without any hassle. So what are you talking about. If you apply there and you meet their requirements you will be admitted.
Stop spewing what you don't know.
You can only say this if you are a student of that school

This Is for every F1 applicant planning to go through Abuja embassy.
The new policy now is that they verify all bank statements before they issue visa. Please don't go with fake bank statement,it's an automatic 10 year ban.

Picked up my passport last week.

Mehn I fasted and prayed. Even though I stammered a bit at the beginning, I still got my point across.its just grace.
I dey always hear say people they deaf when they approved their visa. Omo I deaf straight immediately for like 5 seconds . Hopely this helps someone.
