According to multiple reports, candidates who wrote the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, can now go ahead to check their reports.


This is very easy as The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, will email or send candidates’ results to their emails or mobile phones but you can still access yours online.


To access yours online, first, purchase the e-facility card and take these steps below.



1 Log on to JAMB UTME e-Registration Portal here: http://www.jamb.org.ng/eFacility.
You can use your phone to do this or a computer or visit a cyber cafe’.

2 Wait for the page to load and when it does, login in with your details, then click on the “Check 2019 UTME Examination Result” box.

3 You will see the score displayed on your device or computer or it will show you “You Do Not Have Any Result Yet”. If that is the case, please don't panic. Your result may not have been released yet as all the results may not be released at once. Do keep checking back. Good luck.

The Nigerian Custom Service, NCS, did on Wednesday, by 12 AM, announce it's portal is open for applications from interested applicants to fill for 3,200 vacant positions in the service.


This was made known on Tuesday in a briefing at the Nigerian Custom Service headquarters, Abuja by the Comptroller General of the service, Colonel Hameed Ali, rtd.


Speaking, the Custom boss stated that the employment exercise is in agreement with the demands of the Federal Character Commission, FCC, and it was approved by, Federal Executive Council, FEC.


“We are actively engaged with the Commission to ensure that the process will earn a certificate of compliance on merit,” he stated.


In view of this, the service has stated, through the Acting Deputy Comptroller General, Human Resources, Customs, Umar Sanusi, that the employment process will ensure that qualified applicants, notwithstanding their tribe, State or religion will be employed.


Vacancies open for employment in the Nigerian Custom Service include Support Staff for Superintendent Cadre category and the number of applicants required to fill up this position is 800. And according to the Comptroller also, Customs Inspector and Customs Assistant Cadre in the General Deputy category are also open for filling and they number required for this is 2,400. This brings the total number of applicants required to fill up vacancies in the service to 3,200.

Here is a breakdown of the three positions with vacancies to be filled.


Superintendent Cadre: These are senior ranking officers consisting of Assistant Superintendent of Customs.


Inspectorate Cadre: They, Assistant Inspectors, are mid-level officers consisting of Assistant Inspectors of Customs.



Assistant Cadre: They are junior ranking officers which make up of Customs Assistant.

Sad As JAMB Says It Won’t Release Results OF Thousands Of Candidates Due To This Reason

Reports arriving from the Joint Admission And Matriculation Board, JAMB, confirms that as part of the board’s strict measures to curb examination malpractice, many, in thousands, who wrote the University Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, will not get their results as the board will withhold them due to examination malpractice.



Professor Ishaq Oloyede, the Registrar of JAMB who has worked commendably to ensure everything went smoothly, made the statement in Lagos on Tuesday during the arrest of two children who are owned by a Lagos based owner of a Computer Based Test, CBT, center. The children were arrested for selling fake UTME questions and answers to which they pleaded guilty.


The center, known as Risk Global Company Limited, is located on 300, Ikorodu Road, Anthony Village and it’s owned by a former bank identified as Emeka Ukpai.

It was indeed a terrible day for an innocent Nigerian young man going his daily business as the untamed and brutal Special Anti Robbery Squad, SARS, who have since their invention from the Nigerian Police Force been acting like animals and untrained criminals, stopped him illegally for the purpose of their criminal activities.

The innocent guy was going his daily business at Oke Ira, Lagos State, and was stopped by SARS who searched his bag and couldn't find anything implicating and they still went ahead to ask him what he does for a living which he told them.

However, the criminal SARS officers were still looking for means to extort money from him or arrest him so they then asked him why he had two phones and told him to unlock the expensive phones for them to see what was inside.

However, knowing his right, the innocent boy refused and they criminals in uniform got angry and started hitting him with big sticks as if he was a criminal. The boy stood his ground and still refused go unlock the phones, shouting "I know my rights".

However, the criminals in uniform seized his phones as they beat him up, and told him to come to Alagbon FCIID Police station retrieve the phones

The highly anticipated Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, starts today across the country. The examination date which was shifted twice because of the general elections still clashed with WASSCE date. And it is obvious, as usual, that many of the candidates who registered for 2019 UTME did with the hope of using their WASSCE results for admission at the end of the exercise.

JAMB had clarified that those candidates awaiting results would be given the opportunity to register and sit for the examination as they are expected to upload details of results after examination. This is the reason behind the tremendous registration of candidates.


People have expected the two examination bodies to do something about the examination date which clashed with each other. However, the Spokesperson of WAEC, Mr Demian Ojijeogu told Vanguard yesterday that there is no clash in the examination date between both examinations.


He said: “There’s no clash, have you seen the timetable’’?



He however stated that the subject which clashed with JAMB is animal husbandry and it has a very low candidature, citing that you can barely see a student sitting for it.



He said: “When you check the examination time table, you can see first and second set for each subject. This first and second set means that if you miss the first, you can sit for the second. It is an alternative. It is only in Animal Husbandry, we don’t have first and second set.’’



However, a source from WAEC has stated that both examination bodies have met yesterday to resolve the issues and that no student will be hindered from writing both examinations.


She said: ‘’There is a lot of discussions going on between WAEC and JAMB. We have pleaded with JAMB to delay the paper slated for tomorrow (today) a little bit for us (WAEC). ‘’For Animal Husbandry, we don’t have option and we don’t want anybody to miss it because animal husbandry candidates are usually not enough.

‘’You know the kind of interpretation that will be given to it because we have had similar experiences like these before. Therefore, the only option we had was to plead with JAMB to delay their own paper for tomorrow. I am telling you because we don’t have anything to hide. Nobody will miss the paper tomorrow.’’

In his reaction, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB allayed the fears of candidates, stressing that they would not be denied the opportunity of writing the examination.

The timetable of WAEC shows to that students are expected to write Animal Husbandry today, April 11, Thursday by 9:00 a.m. This is just as JAMB candidates are also expected to sit for the UTME today, Thursday.



Benjamin explained that WAEC starts with practicals and that it has so many sessions for its practicals. Benjamin on Tuesday said the authorities of JAMB and WAEC had met and given assurance that the examinations would not clash. He explained that the WAEC Practicals are in sections, adding that there was no clash at all and that allegation of a clash in timetable is unfounded and baseless.



He said: “WAEC has given us an assurance that it has accommodated all the fears of candidates. That the practical subjects are scheduled in sections in such a way that there would not be any clash (between UTME and WASCCE) at all.“This is as a result of the meeting between the Head of the National Office of WAEC, Mr Isaac Adenipekun and JAMB Registrar, Ishaq Oloyede.“

The mother of a 41-year-old Italian man who murdered a 40-year-old Nigerian prostitute, has handed him over to the police in Pavullo, reports reaching us says.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has maintained in a new stern warning that it will not reschedule the 2019 UTME for any candidate who misses the exam.


This was disclosed by the JAMB Head of Information, Dr Fabian Benjamin, in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja while speaking to newsmen.



He went ahead to urge all candidates writing the UTME to print their examination slips before Thursday, adding that anyone who misses the exam would have to wait till next year to retake it.

In his exact words, “The examination will start on Thursday and we are urging all the candidates to ensure that they print their notification slips before Thursday. This is important so that candidates can know their schedules.

“This is because the board will not reschedule the exams for anybody.

“If anyone misses the examination, such has missed it till next year.”

“The board has not restored the 14 computer-based test centres that were de-listed during the conduct of its mock examination on April 1st.

This beating happened on Saturday the 30th of March, now In 12 years of marriage princess has never retaliated but due to the beating she received, she sent the pictures to her family, the next day which was Sunday, the siblings arrived and wanted to know why Odi has been beating up their sister all these years and Odi asked them all to get out and this led to a confrontation and they all started fighting, the elder brother to my friend princess is younger and stronger so he was able to overpower Odi. Now Odi had some cuts and bruises, I'm not supporting taking laws into your hands but the beating was just to give him a taste of his own medicine, now unfortunately after 10 days Odi died, we couldn't believe it bcoz the intention was just to beat him up so he won't touch their sister again. Alloy registered the wife in a gym as she was getting out of shape and the schedule was three days in a week. Since January this year she goes to the gym daily. This is a woman Alloy bought a 2013 Toyota Corolla sedan for and gives a handsome monthly allowance. She lacks for nothing. Monday to Saturday she’ll never be at home obviously staying away from the house because of Alloy’s older sister. Alloy had gotten an estate agent to look for a two bedroom apartment for her. Anyway on April 1st Alloy went to the gym to see her personal trainer and asked why the change of schedule and why the wife will be at the gym six days in the week. The gym management denied any change of schedule and insisted that she only comes to the gym three days a week.

When Alloy got home he confronted his wife.
” I was at the gym today and I was told you only go there three days in a week. Why are you lying? Why do you go the other days?”
“So, it has reached this stage where you are monitoring me?” the wife shot back.
“Tell me what’s happening or are you cheating on me?” Alloy angrily demanded.
“You’re calling me a harlot abi? You yeye man”.
The wife lurched at Alloy and held him in the neck and Alloy wriggled himself out of her grip and slapped her. Immediately Alloy knelt down begging her......

Speaking at the orientation programme for the pioneer Post – Graduate Students for the 2018/2019 academic session, the Vice-Chancellor, University of Benin, Prof. Osasere Orumwense FNSE, urged the students to be committed and focused so as achieve their desire of being forensic experts.

He noted that they are very fortunate to be the pioneer set while enumerating the effort made so far by his administration to ensure they get a world class standard of training.

Prof. Orumwense informed the students that himself and other principal officers of the university recently traveled to the United States of America and Canada to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Centre for Forensic Research and Education, Philadephia, U.S.A, Paleo DNA Centre and Lakehead University, Ontario, Canada.



In his welcome address, the programme Coordinator,b Centre for Forensic Programme and DNA Studies, University of Benin, Prof Edeaghe Ehikhamenor while congratulating the students added that the Centre undertakes Post-Graduate Diploma in Forensic and DNA Analysis (PGD Forensic) as well as other training such specialized short certificate courses in areas of DNA analysis and forensic science .He also added that the centre shall also provide services in DNA technology and forensic specialties for other departments within the University and other service/research Institutions of Higher learning in the country.

The Dean, School of Dentistry, University of Benin, Prof. M. Sede gave a brief lecture on Career in Forensics alongside lectures by sub-unit heads on DNA Analysis, Forensic Law, Toxicology, Digital Forensics, Forensic Accounting, Forensic Document Examination, Forensic Social Work and Forensic Nursing.



Some of the students expressed readiness to acquire all the necessary skills and assured the Vice-Chancellor that they will do the university proud.
Present at the event were principal officers of the university as well as staff of the centre.

A total number of 45 students were admitted for the programme which will run for 9 months.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB has in a new update, urged candidates sitting for the 2019 United Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, to adhere strictly to the printing order of their examination slips, to avoid unnecessary issues.


This strict warning was part of the board’s weekly bulletin tagged ‘JAMBULLETIN’, signed by the Head, Media and Information, Dr Fabian Benjamin.

As contained in the bulletin, printing of the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, notification slip is ongoing, as the board has since made it available for all candidates who registered for the examination.

According to a report by the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, more than 1.8 million candidates registered for the examination which has been scheduled to commence on Thursday, April 11.


“The notification is to allow candidates know their examination schedules, which includes time, date and venue of the examination.

“Candidates are therefore advised to take the printing order seriously in order for them to have an idea of the location of their centres, well ahead of the examination.

“It is also to enable them prepare for all necessary logistics of being at their respective centres on time,” the bulletin stated.


It added that the e-slips of the candidates had been placed on their JAMB profiles created at the point of registration.

NYSC To Increase Allowance - See Details
“For those who are unable to access their slips through their portal at www.jamb.org.ng, the board has provided a step by step process of making the printing easy.

“First, they should go to the official JAMB portal:

“Next, candidates would be required to enter their registration number, telephone number used in vending the pin at the point of registration or email in the appropriate column and follow the next command,” it said.


“Candidates are advised to print two copies of the examination slip in full, as one copy will be submitted at the centre while the second copy will be kept by the candidates for reference purpose,” it said.

The bulletin added that it was important to note that there would be no rescheduling of the examination, no matter the reason.

It added that all candidates must ensure that they are verified using the Biometric Verification Machine.

Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson, has approved a 100 per cent upward review of the monthly allowance for corps members posted to the state with effect from April.


Dickson announced this yesterday when the Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Major General Suleiman Kazaure, visited him in Yenagoa, the state capital.

He urged the NYSC boss to complement the efforts of the state government in fishing out those who manhandled corps members during the 2019 elections.

Special Adviser to the Governor on Media Relations, Mr. Fidelis Soriwei, in a statement quoted Dickson as describing corps members as “critical national assets that need the support and protection of every right thinking individual to enable them carry out their assignments effectively.”

The governor commiserated with the NYSC family over the killing of two corps members at Swali, a suburb of Yenagoa, two weeks ago, noting that the state government has already begun the process of bringing those found culpable to book.

He promised to complete the ongoing NYSC permanent orientation camp at Kaiama, Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area of the state before leaving office next year.


To enhance the safety and security of corps members, he said government has already provided special communication line to them for prompt response in the case of any emergency.

Earlier, the NYSC DG said he was in the state to inspect facilities at the NYSC Orientation camp.

Professor Ishaq Oloyede, Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) conveyed shock over the attack on two workers of JAMB in Lagos on during the mock exam that held today, monday, 1st of April. He disclosed that the JAMB officials were attacked at the Lagos State Polytechnic centre of the JAMB mock examination.

According to Oloyede, a swift intervention was responsible for preventing the officials from being set ablaze. He stated that It has not yet been ascertained why the officials were attacked but they were wet with petrol and they were to be set ablaze.

He said – “We have sent a rescue team and they took them to the hospital. We are still looking into what happened, but we have evacuated our staff from the place.”

Recently, the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari signed and approved a bill endorsing the minimum wage at N30K per month for Nigerian workers.

On the part of the increment of the allowance being paid to the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC members, the Director General of the board, General Suleiman Kazaure Friday assured that the increment of the NYSC members allowance will soon be done by the Federal Government.

He made the statement in Abuja during the swearing in of 3,022 Batch A corps members into the Federal Capital Territory, FCT orientation camp. He assured that there is still hope from the Federal government as they await them to review the allowance for the corpers as has been done on the minimum wage.

Kazaure said, “Allowance for corps members will be considered as soon as the minimum wage increment was sorted.



“The newly sworn in corps members should conduct themselves properly while in camp and shun drugs.”
