In the heat of the nation’s Presidential elections coming up tomorrow, former President Olusegum Obasanjo has come out to debunk rumors that he has fled the country.

Reports have been rife on social media that the former president who is opposed to the re-election of President Buhari, has fled the country.

Speaking to newsmen in Abeokuta, Ogun state earlier today, the former president said he would stay in Nigeria and vote according to his conscience.

As the international musician’s predicaments and woes linger, new reports and evidences are popping out to further condemn the star.

The lawyer representing a porn star Stormy Daniels in a legal battle with US President Donald Trump on Thursday, said his office has previously unreleased footage of R&B superstar R. Kelly having sex with a young girl, AFP reports.

Michael Avenatti said his team discovered the graphic tape as representatives of multiple clients linked to accusations against the American singer, who has faced allegations of sexual assault for decades.

However, Kelly denied the latest allegations on Thursday via his lawyer Steve Greenberg, who said “I have not been contacted by anyone connected with law enforcement, nor has R. Kelly.”

In a statement Avenatti said he gave the “new critical video evidence” against the artist to the Cook County State’s Attorney in Chicago, where Kelly, 52, lives.
“We will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that this predator is brought to justice,” Avenatti, 47, tweeted.

The attorney has become a public figure since filing a lawsuit for adult film actress Stormy Daniels in March last year seeking to invalidate a 2016 non-disclosure agreement over an alleged affair with Trump in 2006.

He said the events shown in the footage fell within the state of Illinois’ statute of limitations.

The state’s attorney’s office told AFP it “cannot confirm or deny an investigation” but The New Yorker magazine, citing a law enforcement official, said an indictment is pending and Kelly could face arrest.

The tape, which is nearly 45 minutes long, is not the same video that saw Kelly face 21 counts of child pornography charges in 2002, a case in which he was acquitted six years later.

CNN, which obtained a copy of the new footage, described it as “clear and explicit.” The network said two scenes show a naked man who appears to be Kelly engage in several sex acts with a female who calls out “daddy.” The audio captured with the images suggests the girl is 14 years old.

In a statement the artist’s lawyer accused women who have spoken out against Kelly of doing so to “make a buck” and dismissed the latest allegations: “Mr. Kelly denies that he has engaged in any illegal conduct, of any kind whatsoever.”

“He would like to be able to continue to write and sing and produce and perform,” Greenberg said, adding that Kelly is working on an album. In this age of hashtags we are too quick to rush to judgment simply because something is associated with a hashtag. A hashtag does not make claims credible,” the lawyer said.

For decades the artist – real name Robert Sylvester Kelly – has faced lawsuits and accusations over child pornography, sex with minors, operating a sex cult and sexual battery.

In 1994 he wed his protege Aaliyah, the late R&B star who was 15 at the time.
Kelly, then 27, had produced the teenage singer’s debut album titled “Age Ain’t Nothing But a Number.” Their marriage was later annulled, and Aaliyah died in a plane crash in 2001.

Despite unsettling claims against him, the decorated musician – known for hits including “I Believe I Can Fly” — has continued to perform and maintain a solid fan base.

But last month’s release of an explosive docuseries entitled “Surviving R. Kelly” has shed new light on the R&B luminary’s checkered past, while a #MuteRKelly movement aimed at preventing his music from airing has gained steam.
The artist’s record company RCA dropped him last month following the release of the docuseries.

High-profile women’s rights attorney Gloria Allred is also representing several women with accusations against the superstar.

“Mr. Kelly is a predator and a criminal who has preyed on young, vulnerable girls for far too long,” Avenatti said. “The time has come for him to finally be held accountable for his actions.

Will military be able to stop this terror?

“Of course, we are doing our best. And we thank the foreign countries, Europe and United States for training our armed forces and going to the front to see how they are performing after their training.”

A mother who told police her toddler son had been kidnapped is now accused of dismembering the child and incinerating his remains.

It's also been alleged that she carried some of little Daniel Griner Jrs body in her handbag by police in New Jersey.

According to the Vineland Daily Journal Nakira Griner, 24, has been charged first-degree murder; second-degree endangering the welfare of a child; second-degree desecration of human remains; and fourth-degree tampering with evidence.

Court paper released on Monday say the burned and dismembered remains of 23-month-old Daniel were found in a handbag and trash bags underneath a shed at the familys home on Woodland Drive early Saturday.

Police told the local paper that Griner had initially reported she was attacked Friday evening while walking with Daniel Jr. on the 200 block of Atlantic Street.

Griner said she had her other child, an infant son, strapped to her chest.

Daniel Jr. was in his pushchair, she had told police.

At the time, the paper said a complaint filed by Detective Veronica Cappoli states: “She stated she felt someone kick her; she fell to the ground and was repeatedly kicked on her right side and head. Nakira said when she looked up the stroller with D.G. Jr. was missing.

“Nakira was not able to provide any descriptions of the accused or her route she ran after the attack.”

Further questioning revealed inconsistencies in her story, the newspaper said.

Her home was searched and remains identified as human were found about 3am Saturday.

The mum later failed a polygraph examination with New Jersey State Police.

The affidavit Cappoli filed states that Nakira Griner admitted during the examination to having hurt her older son.

The paper said Coppoli stated the Nakira Griner said she left bruises on the boy's face and that he also had fallen down stairs.

“She told police she hit the boy because he would not eat or listen to her, according to the report.

“She then said that she left D.G. Jr., who was still alive, by himself on Devonshire Place because she wanted someone to find him and help him because no one would believe her,” Cappoli stated.

The police investigation is continuing.

Mui Thomas is a 25-year-old special needs teacher and rugby referee, with harlequin ichthyosis, an extremely rare, severe genetic disease that causes the skin to grow very thick, with deep, painful cracks.

A while ago, Mui had shared photos of herself as a baby and adult on Instagram. Someone commented on the post saying that her parents should have aborted her.

‘Should have aborted that thing Jesus Christ’ the user wrote.

Thomas then shared a screenshot of the comment on her page and wrote “It’s nice of some to think I, along with others with Ichthyosis should have been aborted”

Mui Thomas is one of the oldest people in the world with harlequin ichthyosis and the only sufferer in Hong Kong. British woman Nusrit Shaheen is believed to have survived it the longest, at 31 years old. Until recently, Mui and her parents thought she was the only one in Asia; they have now heard of other sufferers in Southeast Asia.

The name of the disorder itself, “ichthyosis” – which comes from the Greek word for “fish” – refers to the “scales” that cover sufferers’ bodies.

Babies born with the disorder often die in their early childhood without proper treatment. Fortunately, with medical advances – such as topical creams to keep the skin moisturised, and oral retinoids to slow down the growth of her skin cells – chances of survival have improved dramatically, and no one knows how long those with the ailment may live, or even if their lifespans are limited at all compared to the general population.

The Anambra State Police Command have commenced investigation into the cause of the murder-suicide committed by a man identified as Daniel Okafor after bathing his wife, Pauline, with acid on Tuesday at Nsugbe, near Onitsha.
According to reports, the couple had been having disagreement concerning the choice of their son as the next of kin on a land and a house which was recently purchased by the wife.

Pauline, a nurse, bought the properties from her in-law and named their son as next of kin but this didn’t go well with her husband who then decided to punish her. Pauline was in her place of work, a drug store, when the husband came in through the fence to bathe her with acid. She then ran out for help.

The suspect reportedly drank some of the chemical he had poured on his wife minutes after committing the crime. He was taken to the hospital but died while receiving treatment.
It was gathered that the victim was also referred to the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital (NAUTH), Nnewi, from the Immaculate Heart Hospital, Onitsha, where she is currently responding to treatment.

The Allied Congress Party of Nigeria has asked its former presidential candidate, Oby Ezekwesili, to return all the money generated during her short stay in the party or be dragged to court. Ezekwesili withrew from the presidential race on January 24th and according to the party, she hasn’t refunded the money generated for her campaign.

The National Chairman of the party, Ganiyu Galadima, made this known at a press conference in Abuja on Thursday February 7th. The party chairman said that from all indications, Ezekwesili did not have capacity to contest a presidential election.

Look at Omoyele Sowore, he publicly disclosed on a national TV recently that his campaign and the party had been able to generate N99m. In addition, he also told the world how the money could be traced. So why is there no transparency in Madam Ezekwesili’s project? That is the bone of contention. We are expecting that she will respond at the appropriate time but if she doesn’t, we may be compelled to go to court to seek for order of Mandamus”.

Well, as the season of love draws closer; as Lover’s or Valentine’s Day approaches, we have decided to put up this fact about why women cheat in a relationship and possible solutions to it.

There is a common misperception that it’s only men who step out on their partners, and that women are always faithful. To that, I say: Who are all these men cheating with exactly? Do heterosexual men only cheat with single women and each other?article continues after advertisement

The simple truth is that approximately as many married, heterosexual women cheat as married, heterosexual men. Research suggests that 10 to 20 percent of men and women in marriages or other committed (monogamous) relationships will actively engage in sexual activity outside of their primary relationship. And these numbers are likely under-reported, possibly by a wide margin, thanks to denial and confusion about what constitutes infidelity in the digital era. For example: Are you cheating if you look at porn? If you flirt on social media?

To help couples answer these questions, I offer you my fully functional, digital-era definition of what it means to cheat:

Infidelity (cheating) is the breaking of trust that occurs when you keep profound, meaningful secrets from a committed primary partner.

I like this definition for four primary reasons:

1. The definition speaks to the most basic element of what happens when we cheat on our partners. We betray their trust. In such cases, even more than our sextracurricular activity, it is the lying and the secrecy of betrayal that wounds a beloved and unknowing partner (male or female).

2. The definition encompasses both online and real-world sexual activity, as well as sexual and romantic activities that stop short of intercourse: everything from looking at porn to kissing another man/woman to something as simple as flirting (now commonly referred to as micro-cheating.

3. The definition is flexible depending on the couple. It lets couples define their own version of sexual fidelity based on honest discussions and mutual decision-making. This means that it might be just fine to look at porn or to engage in some other form of extramarital sexual activity, as long as your mate knows about this behavior and is okay with it.

4. The definition helps the cheater understand that the problem he or she created occurred the moment he or she started lying to accommodate or cover up his or her infidelity. The harm is not a spouse finding out the bad news — the harm is that it was covered up.

None of that, of course, explains why women cheat. Nor does it address the fact that women and men often cheat for very different reasons.

So Why Do Women Cheat?

Typically, females step out on a committed partner for one or more of the following reasons:

They feel underappreciated, neglected, or ignored. They feel more like a housekeeper, nanny, or financial provider than a wife or girlfriend. So they seek an external situation that validates them for who they are, rather than the services they perform.
They crave intimacy. Women tend to feel valued and connected to a significant other more through non-sexual, emotional interplay (talking, having fun together, being thoughtful, building a home or social interaction together, etc.) than sexual activity. When they’re not feeling that type of connection from their primary partner, they may seek it elsewhere.
They are overwhelmed by the needs of others. Recent research about women who cheat indicates that many women, despite stating that they deeply love their spouse, their home, their work, and their lives, cheat anyway. These women often describe feeling so under-supported and overwhelmed by having to be all things to all people at all times that they seek extramarital sex as a form of life-fulfillment.
They are lonely. Women can experience loneliness in a relationship for any number of reasons. Maybe their spouse works long hours or travels for business on a regular basis, or maybe their spouse is emotionally unavailable. Whatever the cause, they feel lonely, and they seek connection through infidelity to fill the void.
They expect too much from a primary relationship. Some women have unreasonable expectations about what their primary partner and relationship should provide. Three Nigerian men have been arrested in Cambodia for drug related offences. They were arrested by joint security efforts from security agencies from Canada, Japan and Cambodia. They’re are said to be the ringleaders of the drug cartel.

Instagram recently made some changes which made Tonto Dikeh lose some of her followers and she took to the platform to address the issue.

The actress said the loss of her followers affects her and she needs her followers back. She also revealed that she has a reason for following certain people and she doesn’t approve of Instagram making her lose those people.

A newlywed couple have become the couple with the most short-lived marriage after they divorced just 3 minutes after getting married.

Only seconds after they signed their marriage contract in a courthouse, the wife tripped and the groom called his new wife ‘stupid’ for tripping over. In tears, the bride demanded an annulment.

Local media reports that the judge officiating the ceremony dissolved their marriage on the spot. They had only been married for three minutes and this leaves them with the shortest partnership in Kuwaiti legal history .

Reacting to the divorce following what is now being referred to as the shortest marriage, social media users defended the woman and said it was no use wasting her time with a man who has no respect for her.

A 3-month-old baby, Mohammed Sani, was burnt to death in a fire outbreak in Kano on Tuesday February 5th.

According to reports, Mohammed’s parents lived in a two-bedroom apartment at Sheka Yar’ Kasuwa in Kumbotso Local Government Area of Kano where the fire started.

The mother of the child was the only one at home and had run out of the house in search of help from neighbours when the fire started. Unfortunately, the child died in the raging fire before men of the state fire service could contain it.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained
