The space between each brick would still fill up with sand and dust that could support weed growth.
The sequence you stated is the usual way interlocking bricks are laid.

Another issue, would ordinary interlock be too porous to be sealed with sealant just like stamped concrete?

I understand we've discussed the feasibility of painting interlocking sometime ago but I will try to respond to the best of my ability.
In as much as the interlock bricks are on level and stable ground, it can be filled with admixtures that would further minimize the inevitable thermal expansion of the bricks under hot weather.
I've supplied a contractor that used floor paint on interlock brick and it covered the space but I'm going to go a step further here.
Filling the space in between the brick is akin to concrete driveway or concrete surface repairs.
The space in between can be filled with a mixture of smooth sand with low clay content and cement. The water used to mixing it should be mixed with acrylic binder in a ratio one to three.
This would make the set admixture a bit flexible without easily cracking.
The paint or sealant could best be incorporated with anti growth additive in substantial quantity so that if there is a micro crack, weed would not be able to attach on the floor surface.
I handled the renovation of a cracked floor and repainting some years ago and I posted it in one of my threads here: https://www.nairaland.com/2797941/renovation-pictures-recreational-courts

Nice idea, flexibility is the key to prevent cracks. I am more keen on dry mixture that will fill in the cracks first then bonds and seal the crack on watering. What acrylic binders are available in the market that can accomplish this? Price would be important. Thanks for your suggestion.

With the cost of stamped concrete above my budget (550 sqm), I am going with interlocking paver. Before I do, I would I need feedback on certain things about interlock.

After interlock bricks are set and compacted, is it possible to fill in the crack with a dry mixture of cement and fine sand (1:10)? If the land is solid, there shouldn't be movement leading to cracks. The whole idea here is to prevent weed from growing in between the crack.

Can interlock bricks be washed and sealed like stamped concrete?

Any suggestions or ideas would be appreciated

Prof, I am reposting. Thanks for the taking your time to educate some of us here about generator. You are doing a good job. These are my questions: Is Maxi generator 80EK (8kw/10kva) capable of producing 10KVA output? Why is Maxi 80EK going for N210K (Fouani store) while Elemax of the same output is going for more than N1 million (Konga)? Your input will be appreciated.

What is a good diesel generator 10- 15kva?

Anybody have experience with kitchen cabinets made from solid wood. It used to be done by old fashion carpenters but now all I see is HDF and MDF. I would not mind using HDF for inside partition but for the face (Outside covering), I am looking for solid wood made from Masonia, Mahogany or oak wood. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Forget about the Nos. It should be a certain quantity, so they have to count how many you need. Its not a brand name but the type of item you need. Contact Allcopacetic herw for his catalog for "what you see, is what you get". Get familiar with the item before your electrician get you banktrupt.

Hajji M.

Thanks Oga Haji. I will contact Allcopacetic.

I don't like to talk about politics but since this is about property tax (land use tax), I will chip in my 2 kobo.

The government should be careful what they wish for. Collecting taxes from people is the easiest way of engaging the people. For so long, people don't feel that the people in government embezzling money, is stealing their money (that has been the attitude). The problem with many third world countries is, they don't pay taxes. Not paying taxes is equal to the same as you don't have vested interest. When you start taking money from people's pocket, questions would be asked. If care is not taken, revolution would follow.

Quick question for the house. What is the going rate for an expert plumber installing new construction bathroom with fitted pipes? Installation involves toilet set and shower fixtures, no tub. Just toilet seat and tank, basin and pedestal, shower mixer and standing shower pole. I would appreciate a hint.

@nwaorlu,
Screw the wc to the floor and use silicon to seal the round bottom edge, that is the professional way.
Although some plumber use little cement to hold it

Quick question for the builders in the house, how are the toilet seats anchored to the floor? Cement on the bottom? Gum?

sliding bathroom door with book shelf .

What all these pics have is attention to detail. You will learn when you start building. My advice, create a 3D model of your building and have the architect and builder see it before the foundations are dug. You can get this done cheap on fiverr.com

The hall way is around 10 ft wide. These are just examples ,But I like modern version.

Nice. You better make sure your Builder/Architect is aware of this because going by your plan, it is all walls.
