Daejoyoung: l gave you categories of Nigerians in Ghana who are industrialists and businessmen, even your Ghanian reports have it that Nigerians are the highest investors in Ghana from Dangote to Coscharis to Banks, even Globacom sponsored your league at a time, and Aiteo(which sponsors CAF, was almost called upon to sponsor your league as well). Globacom also made your actors and actresses ambassadors together with Nigerian actors(without segregation), and nollywood exposed your movie stars to the world such that they are also worshipped by Kenyans. Apart from us having Ghanian teachers in the eighties( due to the fact that many Nigerians abandoned teaching for other higher paying jobs then) can you tell me what Ghana has ever done or is doing for Nigeria? FYI your people are also criminals here, just that in Nigeria except you are white you are almost not easily seen as a foreigner, so the media in Nigeria hardly takes these things into account, but this is not the case with your media in Ghana. The Ghanaian former president used a nollywood actor to campaign for his election.. hahaha |

emeka1101: All these stu.pid Nigerians on this thread trying to involve their masters(Ghanaians) on this thread should stop because there's nothing POSITIVE on earth than nigeria is ranked ahead of Ghana apart from GDP( GdP has nothing to do with the welfare of people living in a particular country and even the GDP of nigeria is as of the result of the huge oil revenue they get and its huge useless population#PERIOD)
Comparing a useless poverty infested zoo like nigeria to Ghana is an insult to Ghanaians.
Ghana is like America to nigerians. It's the dream of every Nigerian to travel to Ghana. They call it THE GHANA DREAM!!!
Nigeria's gdp per capita is also higher... Nigeria is the 3rd largest foreign investor in Ghana by some measures.. from banks to telecoms
I will advise you guys to concentrate on your Mumugeria(nigeria) - Kenya discussions and leave Ghana out of your stupidity.
(Kenya is far better than nigeria though)
Any sensible person will choose Kenya over nigeria #FACT.
Anyway these are some of the things that Nigerians are doing in Ghana
#LEAVE Ghana out ,your smelly mumugerians Nigeria's gdp per capita is also higher... Nigeria is the 3rd largest foreign investor in Ghana by some measures.. from banks to telecoms |

Nigeria helps our west Africa brothers providing aid(cash and relief materials) and militarily support. We've helped end civil wars in west Africa and help to install presidents |

Your leaders can't Demand any payment because they can't live up to the contract they signed, that's how useless your country is . Don't want to seem like a hater... I think Ghana and Nigeria are brothers... I've heard Ghana has stable electricity now... congrats Notwithstanding Nigeria is the 3rd largest foreign investor in Ghana... Nigeria is a way more powerful country in the region than Ghana.. The other day Ghanaians were complaining of Nigerian cement imports to Ghana... Just recently Ghana is hoping to import refined oil from Nigeria.. Ghana previously had an aggressive plan to attract Nigerian businesses to Ghana Although Nigeria might be more powerful and richer than Ghana, Ghana beats Nigeria in electricity, education, and poverty reduction.. |

kikuyu1: Lets recap what we've learned! Firstly Dangoteland's GDP per capita nominal based on a pop of either 150 mn-180 mn and a GDP of either 200 bn or 250 bn$ varies from either 1300-1400$ bn. That tallies with everything else we've seen like HDI and consumption data. Secondly,rvp20182,you're a very very rare breed! You have intelligence and wisdom which are not only closely related but mutually reinforcing. There are many definitions and imo here are the best. Obviously, you're educated but unlike most you're not mediocre-you look beyond the surface, which is what the average analyst, consultant, manager or researcher does. Copy pasting vitimbi and oloriburuku BS from wiki about a 6000+$ per capita for MNCs who rush to invest and fall flat on their faces.

You've used your natural wisdom to apply learned skills and abilities to break down the Dangoteland Giant Myth. To reveal how puny all its national sectors, diminutive its economy and hilariously fake all the overblown stats. Truly, you're a credit to your employer if not self employed-in fact any org would be overjoyed to have your cognitive abilities and the sense with which you apply them. Btw,everyone else,do you realise his posts here can be used as a resource for a bright student to write a paper called: The Mystery of Dangoteland's Missing Billions Finally Solved. Rvp20182,I know you're busy but seriously at least consider blogging or vlogging-we all need sense!

Daejoyoung: Here is from the Facebook page of Strive Musiyiwa( a Zimbabwean telecom entrepreneur) on Nigeria....
The day I discovered the true wealth of Nigeria
__It's not all about oil!
When I first arrived in Nigeria to set up the country's first GSM mobile network, Econet Wireless Nigeria (now Airtel Nigeria), I had to serve as the company's interim CEO for about six months, until we appointed someone substantive. This meant I practically lived in Nigeria for most of that time. It was a remarkable experience, and one which will remain with me all my life. Nigeria is one of the most exciting countries in the world, and could be the next China before the turn of this century.
I just want to share with you one particular incident which led me to that conclusion: As many people know, today Nigeria has over 120m mobile phones users. To imagine that I made the first ever official GSM mobile call in Nigeria on 6th August 2001 seems almost unbelievable...
Our company Econet Wireless Nigeria was in a race with MTN Nigeria, the only other operator at the time, to meet a deadline set by the regulator for 8th of August. We beat the deadline and MTN by two days, and as Interim CEO, I had the privilege to call the regulator to tell him we were "Live"!
What a moment in my life! It's something I'll always cherish. I don't really care whether I own or don't own a mobile operator there today. My success will always be measured in terms of my small contribution in kick starting the largest mobile industry on the African continent, and it is Nigeria.
Several months before the launch deadline, I'd arrived with over 100 engineers and technicians, drawn mostly from Zimbabwe and South Africa. At the time, since Nigeria had been delayed by the military governments from acquiring GSM, it was one of the last markets without this new technology. President Obasanjo, who had just won the election two years earlier, wanted to change that and had issued three licenses, but one had been delayed.
This meant that when we started operations, Nigeria had no homegrown engineers or technicians with experience in GSM mobile technology. (Today it has more than Southern Africa combined!)
So whilst setting up the network to meet the deadline, we used expatriates from other African countries that already had GSM. We also began the process of recruiting Nigerian engineers and technicians who we would retrain for this exciting new industry to take over from the expatriate team, which wanted to do in the shortest time possible.
We had literally thousands of posts to fill.
In one instance, we placed newspaper adverts in all leading newspapers asking for people qualified in electronic engineering, at degree level, and with minimum five years relevant experience. I'll never forget the response. I came into the office to find sacks piled up to the ceiling full of applications!
"I only want to see the applications from people who meet our requirements, and not from chancers who aren't qualified," I complained.
"Sir, these are the ones we have vetted."
"What?! You mean there were more than this?"
"Thousands, sir."
Then I came up with an idea: "Why don't you separate for me, the most qualified academically. Set aside people with MBAs, and even PHDs."
A day later, a sack was delivered to my office. I was staggered!
There were thousands of people with qualifications in just this one discipline with MBAs and PHDs! Many had qualified in the best universities around the world. There were also GSM-qualified Nigerians working internationally, including in America and Europe, wanting to return home!
I was blown away by the qualifications. I thought to myself: "You can start almost any business or industry here. I wish investors would one day discover the wealth of this nation."
Whenever I hear people talk about the wealth of Nigeria in terms of oil, I shake my head to say: "You have no idea what you're talking about!"
The true wealth of Nigeria is its extraordinary human capital, and passion for education. Unleash that and no one can stop them!
Taysermahiri, rvp2018, this is what I'm talking about. The system in Nigeria wasn't working, and the educational sector had nothing to write home about, there was a repressive military Government, but that didn't stop the Nigerians who loved education from going all around the world to get educated, and so when the opportunity came there were thousands of qualified people to take over the telecoms sector, if this wasn't the case maybe foreigners would be the ones dominating those jobs from that time, but there was no chance for that right from the beginning. Stories like these make me weep... Out all the African countries, Nigeria has the most potential... Sadly we're not utilizing it |

rvp2018: You're talking about Stanbic PMI - That index is not absolute (but with you poor Nigerian education, you won't know) - yeah big boys like Dangote who build their own power stations - thermal/coal & are connected with Central Bank - are still manufacturing and selling expensive cement to you. The bulk of manufactures who depend on NEPA or whatever to get reliable power & banks to get forex - if we believe SuffernSMilling - are moving in droves outside Nigeria. I personally would do the same. You have worst logistics & your banking is crap - can't even float NAIRA freely. Not freely floating was a result of political issues not the banking sector... Nigeria's banking sector is bigger than Kenya's... but one issue we have is that the interest rates are super high.. which discourages manufacturing and ultimately the growth of the economy |

rvp2018: Listen to fellow Nigerian - INNOSON doesn't ASSEMBLE SHIET
Let us not be patriotic to the point of foolishness. A discerning mind will surely know that Innoson is a coupling plant and no where near an assembly plant talk less a manufacturing plant. It is the same concept we have with motor bikes. The components are made, packaged and brought to Nigeria for coupling. Simple. It is no where near the VWON and PAN we had in the 80's. However, this does not negate the economic derivatives like employment and technological knowledge that come with this venture. It is also necessary to compare the cost of importing fully built units of these vehicles to the coupled ones so that we dont cheat ourselves.
https://www.nairaland.com/1893524/inside-innoson-auto-factory/3 For a company that has more than 7,000 emplyees and still emplying lots more.. that's sure a huge "coupling" company Like i said nothing can said to change ur mind.. even facts... so we might as well end this issue |

rvp2018: Now that we are ready to discuss Automotive Industry in Africa (specifically SUB-SAHARAN) - definitely South Africa - has Africa most advanced car industry - producing I think more than half a million M cars annually - mostly Toyotas & BMWs & VWs.
I am not sure btw Kenya & Nigeria (ignore Innoson) who comes second after RSA - my bet is kenya - with production capacity of around 15,000 cars....a far cry from South Africa.
Outside sub-sahara - Morocco & Algeria - trail South Africa & produces lots of cars mainly for Europe Market. I am sure desperate Nigerians on leaky drowning boats across the Mediterranean can attest to seeing Moroccoan made cars happily swimming to Europe Although i disagree with you on innoson, only time will tell.. hope this thread is alive till then How many cars does South Africa produce |

And its time you folks get some nerves to challenge Dangote. No wonder they call you Dangotelanders! And his plant is just being constructed not yet done so wait until it manufactures actual something. Well if Dangote is built the largest fertilizer plant, petrochemical plant, refinery in the world, who the hell is going to challenge him... Dangote is richer than everyone else in Nigeria... So do you manufacture fertilizer or you blend as well? We proudly manufacture The plant, with a production capacity of 1.5 million metric tons of Urea fertilizer, is considered the world’s largest single-train Urea plant.
The plant, which has a production capacity of 4,000 metric tons of nitrogenous fertilizer per day or 1.5 million tonnes per annum, was built at a cost of $1.5 billion dollars by the Indo-Nigerian company. http://www.theafricancourier.de/business/nigeria-commissions-worlds-biggest-fertilizer-plant/There is also another fertilizer manufacturing plant built by Dangote at $2 billion-- biggest in the world again We blend as well |
