Sooo ? What about India, China, USA and Indonesia. They all export far more good than us.
Nairaland is the only place in earth were somebody can claim that population of a country impedes export of good.
I was only informing you of your mistake... About 90% of Nigeria's exports is crude oil, which is rather abysmal... Nigeria has the potential to be a huge manufacturing base for the African continent as well as the world... We need the right leadership to unlock this potential...
Look at Vietnam, they're rapidly industrializing...
What Nigeria needs is to build large free trade zones all over the country(similar to what China did) connecting to rail, deep seaports, and those zones to have electricity...
What I'm talking about is concentrating infrastructure in an area. Nigeria doesn't need to build infrastructure all over the country(It would take too long).
Nigeria just needs to concentrate certain infrastructure in certain area(constant power, water, rail,road...etc)
For example why can't a city like Lagos have 24/7 power and other amenities that would attract investors...
Investors know Nigeria's potential and they want to invest , they just need the right environment.

This is a displays of limited knowledge, it is even inappropriate for us to be having a discussion on this blanket, baseless comparison because what it does is to create the impression that we are a homogeneous country and that all conditions in Ghana are the same as the conditions in Nigeria”. both are not industrialist nations simple.Do not create the impression [that] because Nigeria produces more oil, they have done something extraordinary than Ghana .Ghana also has fantastic gold mining industry .And however this not make the both nations an industrialized country. no develop nation actually develop on raw material or cash crop production .Ghana quite has a smaller economy but the development in their economy has greater impact on the lives of their people than it is the case in Nigeria..
Never mentioned that any nation was industrialized... I just mentioned how one country manufactures more than the other... Just like South Africa manufactures more than Nigeria(and also has a smaller economy than Nigeria)

Nigeria still remain the west Africa economy power house.and this is due to her population and oil wealth.she is not in anyway industrialized more than Ghana .but when it comes to good governance and democracy.Ghana is clearly a top notch in west Africa and among the top 4 in Africa. this had help Ghana economy to grow as well. but all in all much need to be done.
Nigeria has a bigger manufacturing industry than Ghana.. and i believe manufacturing contributes more to Nigeria's GDP than Ghana... so in theory Nigeria is more industrialized than Ghana

hahaha you're the one embarrassing yourself here China has the largest population in the world but is the world top exporter, in fact your larg population is an advantage to be used as labor.

Top 3 exporting nations in the world (China, Japan’s and USA) all have larger populations that Nigeria.
Nigeria's population is bigger than Japan..

your gdp per capital is still below standard

http://data.devinit.org/country/nigeria
the Nigerian state spend just 704 dollars per person in Nigeria yearly
youre free to play around with that site
of course, Nigeria's gdp per capita is wayyy below standard... then again ghana's gdp per capita is lower which begs one to ponder why such a country that has more stability and less people than Nigeria is behind Nigeria in gdp per capita...

We shouldn't be comparing with Kenya my guy, it makes no sense to be happy that Nigerian is doing better than Kenya. l understand when it's vice versa and the Kenyans are happy but Nigeria being ahead of Kenya is nothing to be proud of.
We know we should be doing better than Brazil and Singapore at this stage.
No doubt

Here are the Nairobi city commuter train system(Metro) schedules and routes
The Metro route is serviced by the MADARAKA EXPRESS train
U clearly are confused.. metro is transportation within a city.. The one u just showed me is transportation to different cities..

Unless you show me a working metro train system with passengers in it in Abuja, i will gladly share ours. I want its operational route, ticketing system and daily operational routine. Not this stalled metro system and prototypes that you are showing. Isnt it the same metro system that was over valued and ended up stalling due to ineptitude?
It was just commissioned today...
waiting for a Kenyan city metro to be commissioned..

Nigerians please jealousy is a sin.... Just accept Kenya is on another level. Imagine a country that has no natural resources but using its citizens as its biggest resource. No wonder Nigerians are flooding our country in droves with there dirty behaviour.

This is a city metro rail meant for transportation within a city... not rail connecting different cities like the one in Kenya. There are 12 stations and this is just the 1st phase of the Abuja Metro... I've only showed 2 stations out of 12

They are regressing - I think at some point they were at highs of 40M metric tonnes production - now it's down to 20M metric tonnes - with consumption at 18M metric tonnes. If the trend continues - they'll soon be at 10M metric tonnes - despite their urbanisation levels nearly twice kenya.
Dangote alone produces 20m metric tonnes of cement in Nigeria... where did u get ur stats?
