Oildichotomy:If only we have a functional country and govt with people who put their integrity first and live up to their obligations, all this shouldn't be headache. Don't you think so too Sir? |
emmanuelewumi:The law is two-faced....
Nigerian Laws doesn't really make for good reading and understanding to be honest. They are not explicit and are always subject to interpretations and loopholes that lawyers can exploit and twist to their advantage. While a part of the law says things like either of the tenant/landlord shall not collect rent in excess of three months, another section 12 is ascribing time-bound tenants like monthly, half-yearly, and yearly tenants which pre-supposes that the payment schedule is actually at the discretion of the initial agreement entered by both parties.
|
emmanuelewumi:Very correct sir. |
stixz:I just learnt something new from your post now, is it "likely" or for certainty? If tenants are well informed, then they can take up the case when such matters arises, some people don't bother to read or sick advice before signing the tenancy agreement. Unless this happens, but lawyers can always twist the law to their favor and even cite previous cases. |
Oildichotomy:I noticed it too, why give contradictory statements in different sections of the law. More so the agreement part we talked about, without stating if the law supersedes the written agreement when there is a litigation and the tenant has already signed an agreement which may not be to favourable. In all, it is fair to both parties, I think Landlords who don't depend totally on their property for means of livelihood can easily evict tenants who default, if they stick to monthly or quarterly rent payment. |
tycoon3:It's good to come out Bro, you know if you don't shout help or signal that you're drowning, people might think you're one heck of a swimmer doing styles. ![]() I saw a 2yrs old post today which sisioge featured alot, and in less than 6months the said lady was hooked. You might be the answer to a lovely woman's prayer on here, and get your own prayer's met. ![]() |
Disneylady:That's true and it's a good thing. It spurs people who are in ghostmode to come out too. Hopefully we'll get to meet our special half once the pool is full. |
Sold! Sold! |
supersystemsnig:Sent you a Pm Bro. |
Disneylady:This is just one issue, where are these ladies exactly? It beats me when I get to read of decent ladies been scammed by through this "I'll marry you fraud". Like for real? And the real guys searching won't get to see them. Maybe NL is jus one platform where people can connect though. |
Disneylady:Are you telling me.... Everyday life takes a toll on someone. Just yesterday we shouted "Happy New Year", and October has finished, and we're still on the search matter. ![]() |
supersystemsnig:Ohdear only if I were in Lag, am in Benin... There are quite a handful, but then you know how it is. I used to have plenty boxes future Mrs ought to tick, but right now, the compromise is so high. |
Disneylady:Is it not thesame sun that shine on both sexes ![]() It's not easy at all o |
supersystemsnig:I know that feeling, I saw someone few days ago, before I got to the nearest U-turn and back, madam has disappeared. ![]() I go out, attend some church programs am not invited, even see movies on a solo, hoping to meet that someone that rekindles my splinter... Life is hard ![]() We shall conquer last last |
supersystemsnig:So I am not alone afterall... When you have honest convos with some people, they'd be like "Habaa, women are everywhere looking for cool guys like you now" and in my mind, it seems am blind or not within same zip code as the ladies.... I just tire! |
You see as a physicist, you can fit any box at all. If you can understand and pass all those laws, the sky is your starting point. The Civil Service does not discriminate against course of study, if you are fortunate to land a good job at a parastatal. Then there's the Investment banking, where your analytical skills can be put to good use and excel in this area too. You can venture into IT also, you may have to take some professional courses though. If you are good, there's lecturing too, though quite difficult to come by, but anything is posible. And the almighty Oil & Gas sector is there for you Bro, you have to ace their tests and interviews. But I must add, this country defies logic at times, apply for scholarships abroad and if you have a shot at leaving, pls do not look back, Run as fast as u can. Wish you the best. |
watchwoman:I knew it would transport issue. I see Goddy as a highflyer, but on that bus issue, Oga no try at all... |
