Politics / Re: Babatunde Fashola For President by oamon: 3:59pm On Dec 03, 2009
KnowAll:

Fashola can never be President,

1. He is not a member of a National Party

2. AC will probably capture Lagos State and maybe Anambra State if PDP don’t rig the election for Soludo. I am actually struggling to mention a 3rd State AC will win.

3. He has chosen the part of opposition and whoever choose the part of opposition will not taste power nationally but only regionally like Awolowo no wonder the younger Awolowo’s embrace the ruling and national party.

4. The SW has already produced a President.

5. Amongst the heavy weights who are in opposition he comes after Buhari, Atiku, his boss Tinubu , Bafarawa. Any chance for Fashola getting the Presidential  nod over the aforementioned after his stint in Lagos State is minimal.

6. If you don’t play the lottery u don’t win the top price and since Fashola does not belong to PDP, I cannot see how he can be President, I will bet my last penny that individual’s like Fani- Kayode will probably get the top Job b4 Fashola.

I think you are right to some extent. But you know we make a change. Remember the beneficiary of election rigging are the "rigger" they make use of people of low intellect. If you and stand by our vote and inform the 'rigger' to  refuse to be  bribed then, we can put the evil cabal to same

Thank God for the prayers of Nigerians who wish him well. This is his third chance! He should consider it as a Grace of God for him to appreciate those who prayed for him by resigning and be a hero like Mandela. He should not follow the example of the greedy African leaders, if he does not want the wrought of God.

"If you dont know that desperate situations like wars or the threats of wars drive global technological advancements then you need to go and sit down." I totally agree with you.

"Many people actually forget that the japanese did not invent anything. They actually copied and maybe still copying these technologies but adjust it to there own systems"
Today the Japanese are the best in Electronics.

Why can't we too steal those technologies according to you' instead of stealing our own money and stacking it away in Switzerland. @ Asha If your Father is a politician tell him to change his orientation.

@THE-AMAKA
your problem is that you are too myopic, bias, to see reasoning you just talk b'cos pple talk. point out one black achievemnet thats not from white. Is it frm Soyinka, Philips A, Chimamada?

I am not saying that we are inferior to the white, but we don't make use of our opportunities well. Nigeria prior 60s is better than what we have today. What we have today is corruption stilling what belong to you. Thats what I call Slavery Mentality

Nairaland / General / Do We All Need To Be A Member Of Reformed Nigeria Network (rnn)? by oamon: 2:19pm On Nov 17, 2009
[b][b]I believed every Nigerian need to be reformed, that is the only way this country can truely attain its level as a true giant of Africa.

I honestly believed we all need this reform because:

-Almost all Nigerians still place monetary reward above everything  else. It's common to see people saying they want to establish  business this day because they want to make money, even the  educated ones forgeting the No.1 factor for establishing business  they were taught in, intro to Bus.
-Most our political leaders today are in power for personal  gains.Thats why the so called Sen Mark believed Prof Iwu is the  best INEC Chair cos he has benefited from his WURU election.
-A lot of Nigerians still believe more in self interest, self Ego, more in material of Ostentation to intimidate or impress/suppress others. Thats why you  see a family of four, H&W with 2 teenage kids having 8 cars in their garage wonder why the Naira keep on falling against the dollar.
Recently Sanni may have somehow denied his team mate gold just b'cos he wants gold for himself.
The selected political leaders don't rig election themselves, they use Nigerians who for monetary gains don't mind the bad road they will suffer and lack of social amenities they are denying thier ward, local Govt, State even the Country at large. The list is endless, we can go on and on, Do you know that Gov. Babatunde Fashola, with his achievement in Lagos may not win if he wnats to contest for the presidency of this country?

If you are convinced that we all need to join RNN/NRN, please don't hesitate to do so, membership is free. Just tell the tout, police,PHCN staff,Politician etc that they should stop stealing by trick and you a member.

These are my take what is your opinion?

Family / Re: Must The Husband Be 100% Responsible For The Family Bills? by oamon: 10:53am On Nov 11, 2009
I think it is one of the duties of the Man. However, the Woman shouldn't see it as the sole responsibility of the man, likewise the way the man must not see other duties presume to be the woman's as her sole responsibilities. It should be a mutual thing, thats what relationship is all about, symbiosis not para Opinion lipsrsealed
