Please guys, how true is this ;

We only need a draw with Argentina and it doesn’t depend on the result of the match between Croatia and Iceland. If Iceland beats Croatia with 10 goals, it doesn’t matter because they will only have 4 points and a draw with Argentina will give us 4 points then head to head rule will be applied and because we beat Iceland then we shall take 2nd position and qualify into the next round.
grin

Head to Head Rule - Chikena!

Some Dudes won't stop amusing you on this Thread. How are they so sure Iheanacho would bang the Goal had Musa passed to him?! Do they ever think he might yakubu the Ball?

Musa was in a better position to score than Iheanacho, and had he passed the Ball and Iheanacho failed to score, he would have been bashed beyond Redemption by the same set of Fans - for over-hitting the pass, made the pass behind Iheanacho and so on.

Iheanacho time will come, perhaps he's gonna be the shining Light against the Argies. This is Musa's Moment, we are all Nigerians and shouldn't be looking for any sort of flimsy Excuses to berate a Player's right Call on the Pitch.

Musa was never believed in by majority of us. Majority wanted him dropped, we condemned him, abused him, crucified him, unfairly criticized him - Alas! He saved us from crashing out prematurely, but some are finding the Victory tasting bitter coz it wasn't their Favorite who scored the Brace or at least a Goal?!

We get a bigger Game on Tuesday. Let's discuss our Chances, criticize the Lapses we saw in the last Match, and suggest the possible Solutions. I'm certain if at all the Coaching Crew are visiting social Media for criticism, they would surely jam this Thread too.

Iwobi doesn't have the lungs to run, tackle, track and mark for even 70 mins. He will leave lots of spaces that will be exploited. We need Etebo against Argentina to mark Messi, along with Ndidi and Mikel... Àbí you nor see wety Iceland do am.

We do not have enough creativity in midfield to overrun Argentina just like Croatia.

Leave the midfield as e de, na beg I de beg u.
grin

Tell me that's a Joke bro! All your Midfielders running after Messi...... LMAO!
Can you tell me how Croatia subdued Messi's influence and completely caged his magical Moments?! Did they attach Player(s) to man-mark him?!

We have to give him credit still.

He was the one that made us know 3-5-2 could work for us by testing it in friendly. Otherwise, we may not have thought we can play with such formation which is alien to our traditional style.
grin

Yes he deserves some Accolades too. Trust me Bro, we are smiling and happy now coz we won. If the Result is opposite, Rohr would be barbecued for more than a Week on this Platform.

By the way Rohr is still an average Coach. If at all he's gonna be retained by NFF, I suggest he goes for advanced coaching Courses after the Mundial.

Rohr simply danced to the Nigerian Media, Pundits and Fans tunes. He played the Formation, perhaps, to vindicate himself just in case we lost the Match.

I ain't gonna be sold yet on him, until he finally proves beyond reasonable doubt that he's up for the Tasks. Everyone expected Victory immediately we saw the Lineup, coz we believe it's all Eagles need to soar higher against any Opponent.

Prior to the World Cup, it was Evident during the Friendlies that 3 - 5 - 2 is the best Formation for the Team, however Rohr thought otherwise until he failed.

Idowu ain't needed in the Team in a 3 - 5 - 2 Formation, Ebuehi is better. Also I hope Iwobi is played instead of Etebo. Yes..... Etebo is workaholic and full of Energy, but we need creativity in the Final third.

If we wanna see the best of Nacho, then we gonna need to play Iwobi in an AM Position. Nacho was running into spaces but Etebo ain't creative enough to sight his Movements and the do the needful.

I need to commend the Trio of Balogun, Ekong and Omeruo - they were outstanding and dealt with Aerial Threats excellently. Also Uzoho is beginning to prove himself as the right Choice for Eagles No. 1.

Argies lack in Midfield and Defence. They are only good on the Wings and Attack. If we can control the Midfield, we gonna win the Match!

ChrisKels:
Alright bro. By the way wot do u make of the second half show?
It wasn't special to me, cos prior to the World Cup, especially during the Friendlies we are 2nd Half Team.

We were lucky to have Musa in the Game, coz the Vikings are weak already, thus Musa's pace was exploited positively.

Also I think the Pairing of Musa and Iheanacho should be maintained, Ighalo is kinda too slow for 3 - 5 - 2 Formation. Tyrone should be used as a RWB, while Moses is tried out as LWB.

How do we score with no shot.... Iceland looks like the team that would score.

@Oasis007... When I said ndidi is just a good tackler nothing more, I was criticised on this thread. Some were even saying he's better than Kante.

For me Etebo should come off for iwobi and nacho off for ighalo or simi.... More creativity in midfield and presence in attack.
undecided

Don't mind Peeps here jhoor! We too dey over-hype our Players. What does Rohr expect from this Lineup sef? You play Musa and Iheanacho upfront without Iwobi in the AM Position?! Who does that?!

I think we've always known that. He can't be blamed for our lack of penetration in the final third
Are you watching the Game at all?! He's playing ahead of Mikel and Etebo..... more like a B2B Midfielder.

Sometimes he's hiding from/for passes. He rarely comes back to help in building up play from Defence!

I swear..... no need to retain Rohr if we lose this Match.

you can say that about every single player on the pitch plus the coach.
We wailed Mikel offered little as an AM, but both Ndidi and Etebo are offering nothing as CMs in this Match.

Yeah.... the Coach seems overrated by many of us. Almost retracted calling him white Onigbinde, obviously he's an average Coach.

When the Midfield ain't tickling, what do you expect from other Positions?! No penetration, no cohesion, harmless crosses and so on.
