He is the only box to box player in that team, he has the best work rate. He knows how to dribble, he knows how to shoot.

In totality, he has at least a bit of every player except a goalkeeper. From mad tackling to explosive pace. Is this reason enough?
grin

My Brother from another Mother won't kill me tonight with Laughter. Are you saying you need Box2Box Midfielder in a 3 - 4 - 1 - 2 Formation.....?! LMAO!

The 2 DMs are meant to shield the Defence and cover for the overlapping Wing-backs, thus you do not need a B2B Midfielder coz you play more on the Wing, occasionally through an AM who plays free-role with major responsibly of linking the Defence to the Attack, as well as creating Goals if Opportunity beckons.

Mikel can't play for 90mins Bruh, hence your favored Player (Etebo) can come in to replace him or Iwobi in the 2nd Half. Moreso, Etebo thrives not as a DM or CM rather as a RMF, LMF, SS, RW, LW - in short he's utility Player. He's simply a makeshift DM/CM in GWG just like Shehu as a RB.

Senior Bruh.... Guess Madam is offline at the moment?! We all know for Rohr to play to the Team's - 3 - 5 (4 - 1) - 2 is the Answer. Swiss played 3 - 5 - 1 - 1 to good Effect Yesterday too.

Mujtahida:
Nothing pained me more than the bolded. With all their star studded team, they played nonsense. We scored for them. They won with that kind of lacklustre performance from stellar players. It felt like cheating
Bruh..... what Rohr did against Croats can be likened to what Mourinho did against Sevilla in the UCL. Sometimes a Tactician shouldn't play his Tactics to nullify your Opponents, rather play to your Team's Strength.

I swear it's never lost for the Eagles. I had to re-watch the Combo of Mikel and Onazi at the 2014 World Cup with Babatunde as a No. 10, and what comes to my Head is; Ndidi and Iwobi are a bit better than Onazi and Babatunde of 2014.

Pair Mikel with Ndidi, let Mikel plays as a deep-lying Playmaker cos he gets eyes for long, decisive and accurate passes. He can shield the Ball, cool the tempo and coordinate the Defence.

No one tackles better than Ndidi in the Squad, he's young, athletic, fit and can tirelessly cover grounds like Kante. With Iwobi as an AM, he's definitely gonna create something from nothing.

Also we need to play with 2 Strikers - Ighalo for his better and proven Holdup plays and Iheanacho for his decisive off-ball Movements and eyes for Goal.

Tyrone and Moses should play as Wing-backs, with the Trio of Ekong, Balogun and Omeruo as CBs. I didn't include Ogu in the Defence coz I ain't sold he can play the CB effectively in a competitive Game.

3 - 4 - 1 - 2 Formation is all what Rohr needs to bring out the best in the Boys. I hope he listens to ex-internationals, Pundits and Fans who are clamoring for the Formation to be played in the next Game - cos if he fails with the same 4 - 2 - 3 - 1 with Mikel as an AM for the Team - Lord...... he's gonna see the other side of Nigerians.

The Dude just pressed ignored Button. Prior to the Match, Jay Jay said every Nigerian is a Coach...... he's right after all.

The last thing that should ever come from certain Monikers is calling Rohr an ineffectual Buffoon or calling for his Sack. The Monikers that could die for Rohr few Weeks ago?!

I was never sold on Rohr if my Records on this Thread are to go by. I love Siasia a lot and always come to the Defence of late Keshi anytime he's accused or under-appreciated.

So telling me Rohr flopped with the Lineup, Formation and Tactics shouldn't be born out of Emotion rather with Facts.

Some Monikers really amazed me. I thought they religiously believe in Rohr, trust his Project and ready to stand by him even if he fails at this World Cup.

They preached severally to us not to be fickle-minded, just in case things go south at the Mundial. They tagged Rohr the second coming of Messiah, and the best thing to ever happen to Nigeria Football - post-Westerhof Era though.

Alas! They keep wailing more than bereaved. They keep lamenting, gnashing Teeth, ready to tear down Rohr and his Project. My Point is; why are they preaching what they can't practice?!

Some Monikers are looking up to them cos they are Homies on this Thread, but they've failed those who believed in their loyalty and patriotism.

TheSuperNerd, Michael2, Mujtahida, Tbaba1234, Joseph1013, Komekn, Icon4s, Forgiveness, and some other notable Monikers weren't as well happy with the Result, but didn't discard Rohr, the Project and the Players because of the Match.

They analyzed the Match, where it went wrong, and suggested tactical Solutions to avoid another negative Result in our next Game. They ain't cursing or insulting Rohr or the Coaching Crew, they picked the talking-points, analyzed it, debated it and already move unto the next Match.

Pls Eagulians, enough of wailings. Let's go back to pre-world Period. Let's believe again...... coz in a Game of Football - Nothing is Impossible..

Fellow Eagulians, we got what we deserved in the Match - 0 Point. We played nothing, we didn't play like Professionals at all. It was like Rohr just picked 11 Players and asked them to win the Match on their own.

There is nothing Positive to pick from the Match except we wanna fool ourselves. We need to compare other Teams with us, it's like Oshodi FC locking on with Arsenal FC - we are indeed disorganized as Javier Pointed out.

We were harmless, toothless and careless. No zeal at all from the Players to win the Match. No cohesion, lame attacking-threat, shambolic Display, poor positioning and off Ball Movements; Nothing really is positive. The worst part is Mikel; he was lost, completely lost and couldn't be found.

Mujtahida was right, we played Naija Team, not a typical Nigeria Team. The Croats locked up the middle, and no one in the Midfield could unlock it. Had Iwobi played as an AM, he would have been positive for the Team.

Everyone knows what's good for the Team, except Rohr. I hope he tweaks his Philosophy as TheGoodJoe opined, otherwise this World Cup gonna be worse than the 2002 Edition.

Yeah.... he's not but with little Changes in his Backroom, he's gonna get it right. I implore NFF to draft in Siasia as Assistant Coach of the Super Eagles, and a Coach of the Home-based Eagles.

Salisu is already appointed as U23 Team, thus he's not needed in the main Eagles coaching Crew anymore, and I wouldn't mind him to be assisted by Kalika.

I advise we lower our Expectation on this Team and hoping for a Miracle to happen against Iceland and Argentina.

There are lots to pick from the first Match;

1 - I want Rohr to be retained not sacked no matter the outcome of our performance in this Competition.

2 - This should Competition should be the last Appearance for Mikel, Akpeyi, Echiejile, Ighalo, Ogu, Shehu, Moses, Idowu, Onazi, Musa, Balogun and perhaps Ezenwa. They should retire from International Football honorably after this World Cup.

3 - Ebuehi and Aina should be our RB and LB respectively, then we can scout for their Backups.

4 - Nwakali Brothers, Tosin should be drafted as Midfielders. Eze, Oyenkuru, are needed as Wingers in the Squad.

5 - in the striking Position, only Kayode I hope he becomes an integral part of the Team.

My Post-World Cup List for the Eagles;

1 - Uzoho
2 - Ebuehi
3 - Aina
4 - Ndidi
5 - Ekong (C)
6 - Omeruo
7 - Moses Simon
8 - Etebo
9 - Kayode
10. Nwakali K.
11. Oyenkuru
12. Adarabioyo
13. Musa Muhammad
14. Iheanacho
15. Awaziem
16. Alampasu
17. Eze
18. Iwobi
19. Ryan Sanusi
20. Nwakali C.
21. Amuzie
22. Kehinde
23. Okoye

Mind you........ this is strictly a Suggestion, pls don't come for my Head, just wanna divert our Attention away from the Loss.
