afrodoc2: Essien, Yaya, Okocha midfield has no stabilising force. Yaya and Essien can do job but they would be like Clark Kent. Move them to advanced midfield and they become Superman. ...even Mikel knows he was playing with Okocha inclusion. I lol'ed when I saw the lineup - like for real?! |

afrodoc2: Lol you know the answer. Essien and Yaya Toure are clear in that midfield. The fight is between Mikel and Okocha, and Essien and Yaya being both better in advanced positions gives the edge to Mikel who complements them better.
Put Mikel in Essien's position, move Essien to Okocha's position and slide Okocha out. Essien, Mikel, Yaya Toure would be a physically dominant workmanlike midfield but still have flair and creativity. Mikel doesn't wanna rìn asiwaju fin. LOL! |

Joezinho: Baba, today’s football is very physical and you won’t get away with just showing up with the intelligent long pass, free kick and dribble.
The same omonambala that loves gidigbo football and calls iwobi lazy wants nwakali in the midfield.
Perfect definition of “tell me you don’t know the game without saying you don’t know the game”. 😅😅
The sad reality is nwakali is not SE material but most people here don't want to accept that.
Can you recommend a player like nwakali in our man utd midfield with all his deep playmaking abilities and phenomenal set piece ability? ? 😅😅 ....how I wish one of Mainoo's parents or great grand parents is from Nigeria. |

Joezinho: Which nwakali? lol. Nwakali has regressed a lot since the U17 days.
That boy isn’t SE material. The day iwobi gets dropped from the SE, na that day una go realize say iwobi is one of our most crucial players. He is still a young chap bruh. Guess you remember he is same set as Osimhen?! |

charlesemeka85: no need of trying cus I don watch nwakali tire and he isn’t built for the type of football we play
Those who were not convinced abt Onyeka are expecting him to play like xavi and iniesta in 1 but turned blind eyes to his true qualities
Onyeka isn’t that gracious and creative midfielder we all yawn for but very good at what he does best which are man marking, covering ground, pressing and tireless work ethic in midfield ....you might be judging him wrongly though. I hope to see him play our next [friendly] match. |

charlesemeka85: If Nwakali no vomit blood trying to play this high octane football deployed by jpes mk I knw wetin cause am
He is too weak to play in a 2 man midfield. Na Onyeka go work tire 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I trust you ain't gonna disappoint. I admire your stanship though, coz you genuinely love Super Eagles unlike some folks here that their stanship be like our power situation.......LOL! BTW......we ain't gonna be sure except he is tried out. Some Dude never expected Onyeka to be rock-solid in the middle, today he is a bomb. Aina was once condemned, maligned on this same board, today he is one of our dearest. When Nwabali was invited to be our No. 1 for this tourney, JPes was roasted like Antelope, garnished with Cameroon Pepper then served with Ghana Jollof, today same Nwabali is our Hero. If Nwabali can do it, why not Nwakali?! |

Unpopular Opinion; Nwakali would have done a better job than Iwobi with 3 - 4 - 3 formation. Note he is naturally a deep-lying playmaker. He is capable of scanning every corner of the pitch and so good at long range passes. Osimhen wouldn't be that starved with Nwakali in the middle. |
