You are not sure because of your limited knowledge of the matter. Unlike Rohr who is up close with the players, has insights into German football and is in camp to judge the player.

As an Advocate of Drills, nothing more can be said Dude.

Iheanacho as a Seventeen years old did better than most experienced City players during City's American tour. He was not as experienced as the older players but he was better. So experience in no way means better.
grin

You just nailed it Dude. His lack of Experience made him to play better and outshone the Oldies in the Team because he thought his Future depends on it and wanted to impress the Manager.

Who take Pre-Season serious, except Newbies. Even if Messi was in the Team, Iheanacho would outshine him too.

However, why didn't he cement his Place in the Team since he was the better one? Why did Pep return him back to Drilling School?!

This is where Experience comes to play.

You have not watched Osimhen to know how good he is. You have watched Kayode and judging from one view. Unlike Rohr who has his strategy and will screen both players. So he is in the best position to choose who is better.
grin

I have not watched Osimhen because his Progress was hampered by Injury and when he returned, it was on the Bench.

Therefore, how are we so sure he's not match rusty?! How are will so certain he's fit and deserves the Call up!

He should have been allowed to go on Holiday to recuperate better and fully prepare for the next Season.

Ezenwa can not Outshine Enyeama in training because he is not better than Enyeama. These drills are in series and clearly shows the better keeper.

If Ezenwa outshines Enyeama, it means he is better and he will get my nod. However, it I most likely that he will not Outshine Enyeama in camp.
grin

There was a Time it was reported that Alampasu outshone the rest of the Keepers in the Camp, yet he couldn't get the Nod of Rohr.

Besides what makes a Person better in his Field of Practice?! If it's not Experience, then what?!

TheGoodJoe:
No one is calling for Enyeama because of experience. We all know he is BETTER than the other goalies we have.

Awaziem after his first camping said he learnt a lot from training with Leon Balogun especially when it concerns dealing with aerial threats and tackling. So, there were things of Balogun that Rohr rated higher than that of Awaziem.
grin

But we didn't know Kayode, who we were fortunate to watch and follow his Exploits in Europe, the best Player as well as the Golden Boot Winner in Austria League for the just concluded Season, is BETTER than Osimhen.

If Kayode's proven talent can not help him do better than Osimhen in training, then the coach has no choice but to select the better performer.
If Enyeama returns to the SE Camp, will you select Ezenwa over him for a competitive Match, because the Latter outshines him in Training?!

They are in camp now. It is their performances in camp that will decide the most likely to do well. A good example was the nice reports we got from Awaziem during training and it transcended into his performances in the two friendly games.

Any other way is gamble. That is why teams camp before matches.
grin

And you think if Balogun is around, Rohr would select Awaziem over him?!

Why some Dudes are advocating for the Recall of Enyeama? EXPERIENCE!

That is simply not true. Contrary to your view, Messi is amazing in training. Always stands out. Even when unfit he is most likely to Outshine the others. You can watch some of his drills on the training pitch. Sometimes it looks like if it is an alien pulling magical tricks.

It is always about the best or close to it. Not sending out wack players in the name of experience. A player might look wack to you but there are attributes the coach considers crucial to the team's success.

That is why a player might look poor in training but get picked.
grin

Kayode is a proven Talent in Europe, while Osimhen is yet to prove his Talent. Hence Kayode should be considered over Osimhen regardless to their Performances in the Training.

Some Players would shine like Messi in Training but play like Sanogo in the competitive Match.

As I said before and I will say it again. All this is Super Story because both Osimhen and Kayode are invited. At this point, there is no historical preference. It is hard work, focus, determination and perseverance in camp that will decide the pecking order.

The coach will decide who fits seamlessly into his system and select the ones he feels are the best for the game.
grin

An unfit Messi will be selected over a fit Dybala for the Argentina National Team any Day any Time regardless of their respective performances in the Training Camp.

The Reason is simple; Messi has proven himself with his hyper performances at the Club Level.

Some Dudes are quick at accusing Forgiveness of Nepotism, yet they are the Champions of it.

It wasn't wrong for Iheanacho to only be drilling without Competitive Football at the Club level, and still be making the SE List, but it's a Suicide to invite a Regular at a Club who often plays European Competition.

It's 100% WRONG to be comparing Osimhen with Kayode. is it because the former plays (on the Bench) for a German lowly Club?!

I enjoin some Dudes to revisit their Posts and objectively analyze it. They would know they are being Partial and ain't taking the Bull by its Horns.

Kayode has been prolific for 2 solid Years, he's even named the Best Player in the League this Season for God's sake!

I can't believe this is happening on this Thread. Someone should tell me where the Unity lies here in the Thread?!

Kayode honorably deserves the Call up. He's not lobbied into the Team by anyone, rather his performance on the Pitch speaks louder for him.

We can quick to sing-praise Onyekuru, but we shouldn't talk much of Kayode because he's plying his Trade in a lesser League in Europe?!

Someone even rated Israel League ahead of the Austria League simply to condemn Kayode's Achievements?! SMH!

This Thread needs to be fortified of Nepotism, and Objectivity should be given a limelight to SHINE.

Are you a Babylonian by profession? cheesy

Rohr is in the best position to say if Osimhen deserves a call or not. Me saying I did not say does not make Osimhen's call up wrong. I am saying Rohr is in the best position. If he believes we have a dynamite about to blow and he wants to prepare Osimhen, Rohr has my blessings.

Unlike Babylonians who do not know about what happened in camp, have no connection to the youth system in Germany, want to criticise the Young man's call-up.
grin

Who cares! LOL!

If you do not say he deserves the Call up then what?! Stop playing Politics with your Answer. You've already made the Point known..... you are simply respecting the Coach's Decision.

Period!

I really so much appreciate the highlighted Part. That's exactly my Point too.

He doesn't deserve the Call up, but we have to respect and support the Decision of the Coach.

As Safarigirl pointed out..... he's unlikely to start or play a Part in the Match, except an unwanted Situation calls for it.

Hence I'm expecting Iheanacho to lead the Attack, with Iwobi playing behind him, and flanked by Onyekuru and Musa.

But honestly, I would prefer Kayode to lead the Attack, Iheanacho as SS and flanked by Iwobi and Musa/Onyekuru.

So if you have Isco on the bench at Madrid, you will play a championship midfielder plying regularly ahead of Isco and call it fair? huh

When Carlos Alberto Pareira carried a teenage Ronaldo to USA 94, do you think there were no experienced Brazilian strikers that could make the team? What of Aime Jacquet leaving out the Experienced Ginola, Cantona in France 98, do you think he was unfair to them in favor of Thierry Henry and Trezeguet?

What is unfair is if the coach is going against his wishes. If the coach wishes to work and Mould Osimhen, then that is the fairness we need.
grin

See I've been following Thread for a while, and I'm pretty aware of your style of Argument.

Osimhen deserves the Call up! He's needed in the Team because of his huge Potentials.

what's ur definition of fairness huh
(1) The Regulars (at their various Clubs) should be considered before the Bench-Warmers.

(2) Experience should be considered over Potential. For instance, the Experience of Onyekuru at Eupen honorably justifies his Inclusion in the List.

(3) Players fitness also should be a Priority over Likeness or Quota-system.

hian, wjy is the inclusion peppering you like this?

If you have been following this thread, you should know that Isaac did not make the list because he exempted himself with his nonchalant attitude. Anyone who is a regular here, is well aware of Isaac's antecedents, he is very similar to Moses, but unlike V Moses, he is very dispensable

Secondly, considering this is not a friendly like you said, why should you be bothered with Osimhen's inclusion when only 14 of 23 players will get on that pitch on Saturday?

So, you think a player who is on equal level as Iheanacho and Kayode will come and sit on the bench knowinh he won't even get to kick a ball? Una dey reason the matter sef?

Osimhen is not going to kick a ball, na only three subs we get and unless SA break the legs of Kelechi, Kayode, Onyekuru, Etebo and Musa, it is not likely Osimhen will face SA.

If that is your problem with his inclusion, rest easy, he is going to be about as involved as Alampasu on Saturday
grin

Peppering ke? You are very funny Dear. I just want the Coach and his Crew to select Players for the Team based on fairness.

MARTIAL NOT LEAVING UTD

Anthony Martial's agent has poured scorn on speculation linking the Manchester United forward with an exit this summer.

A testing second season, which yielded just eight goals and public criticism from manager Jose Mourinho, has seen question marks rise over Martial's future.

But his agent, Philippe Lamboley, told Journal du Dimanche: "Martial has two years left and there is no reason for him to leave Manchester today.

"If [executive vice-chairman] Ed Woodward tells me they want him to leave, things are different. But that is not what he told me during our last meeting."

Joebie:
This Osimhen matter don tire me. Does he usually make matchday squad for SE until the latest friendlies? There is room for a joker in a team. Ronaldo 9 went to USA 94 without kicking a ball. Did he deserve it? But the rest is history. What Rohr sees is what we can't see. When you have ran the rule over the boy personally, you can criticize. It's too early to judge Osmhen's club performance unless you just hate the boy.

All the players we are clamoring for cannot make the starting 11. Invitation and integration is a gradual process especially in a winning team like ours.
That's the Reason I've been avoiding making Comments on this Thread. Hatred?! Why should I hate him?

Why should I take my Critics on his Invitation so personal to the extent of hating him?! Can you tell me the Reason Isaac didn't make List?! He's also a great Lad with huge Potentials. So why didn't he make the List and no one is crying or wailing over it?!

It's very simple to answer - he's unfit, match rusty and couldn't get enough playing time at his Club. Forget what some Newspapers were saying about his Attitude at the Camp, we ain't there, hence we can't be so sure of their Reports on him.

Are you saying Osimhen is fit enough to be in the Team?! How many Goals did he score for his Club that warrants is inclusion in the List?! Guess you wanna tell me he's just back from Injury?! Then he should be allowed to recuperate, coz we ain't playing friendly Match against South Africa in Uyo.
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Oasis007(m): 9:12am On Jun 05, 2017
Sentiment aside, the Invitation of Osimhen is wrong. Like some Dudes here, I keep asking myself the justification behind his Invitation but I couldn't come up with any tangible Reason.

Some are saying the Coach knows what he's doing and believes in the Potentials of the Lad, but to me that's simply an Excuse. Why are we clamoring for Iheanacho to leave Man City for any Club for playing Time?!

Is it not because we want him to justify the Coach's Confidence in him as well as for him to perfect his Skills on the Pitch?! Ain't we sure of his Potentials?! Osimhen should have been allowed to fully recuperate and prove himself next Season before inviting him to the SE Camp.

45 mins of playing Time for a whole Season doesn't justify his Inclusion in the Team presently.
